I needed to show my ID to an employee in the booth at the park's main entrance, as well as the employee at the pool's gate. Kids ages 6-14 get in for $1, adults are $3, and there's no admission fee for seniors or little kids. The T-shaped pool is well maintained, and very clean, surrounded by a chain link fence and a nice lawn, where we put our towels and sandals. The pool was about 75 degrees, I'd say, perfect for a hot July afternoon. I stayed with my daughter in one of the shallow sections (the steps are nice and gradual), while my boys and their buddy enjoyed the diving board and deeper section. While we were there, I saw five or six lifeguards. They rotated shifts every twenty minutes or so, so that there were always two lifeguards on duty. The only eyesore was the remnants of a locker room / pool house fire, adjacent to the pool. I think it happened a year ago, but it doesn't look like much cleanup has been done. An interim "changing trailer" has been brought in, but since we arrived already in our swimsuits, we didn't need to use it. It's great to know that this pool is available! We'll definitely be heading back.

Our review isn't about the fact that the kiddie pool closed for the season without letting town residents know or the fact that the sign says the pool closes at 7 and it closed at 5. It is actually about the manager at this location who shared her name was Lindsay. She is an unkind, loud, and not a kid friendly person. The kiddie pool was closed without our knowledge and therefore we didn't pack the kids life coats due to this (the kiddie pool is only one foot deep and they don't need them typically). The staff encouraged the kids to stay and play on the big pool stairs instead. However we really regret doing this as everything they did on the stairs was criticized by Lindsay. At one point I asked the front desk if they had life coat rentals and was told no.....however we were loaned a life coat by the front desk from lost and found. As soon as our 5 year old entered the pool with the coat on, loud taking Lindsay came over and demanded he take it off and shouted that parents need to be responsible and bring their own. When I explained that the front desk said it was ok she replied that he doesn't work for them and he doesn't know what he is doing. She spoke so loud to me that all the people in the area we were in were able to hear her and the guests next to us commented about how inappropriate she was after she walked away. She embarrassed herself and My family was quit anxious after that as she drew so much attention. After she left a five year old in tears by demanding he get out of the pool and take off his coat ....she then spend the next 45 minutes sitting off to the side of the pool correcting the kids for every time they jumped or sat too close to the railing etc. Our family will be visiting other pools in the future, sadly not our own town pool. And Lindsay needs to revisit her profession. Maybe a job where you yell a lot and don't interact with small children.
