You can either wait in line or you can put your name and number down like a reservation and they text you when it's your turn to come back. For a location like this one, it makes total sense because you can walk up and down lakeshore while you're waiting. The in-store experience was great. They have ample amount of staff working the floor and cash. It was a Saturday, so I knew it would be busy but I was able to try on items with no issues and the process to make my exchanges was seamless.

Then, I realized that the sample sunglasses that I had tried on in my initial visit were the ones I was given. These are glasses that had been worn and tried by other customers prior to me however I did not pay for sample prices and at no time was I told that these glasses were the ones I was buying. These glasses had a scratch on the arms, were wobbly including they were unbalanced. I expressed my disappointment and was told that the scratch was probably done when the lens was changed. Funny I remember that dent being there when I tried the sample and the arm issues too, but gave them the benefit of the doubt and said nothing. I told them I had wanted to leave them as was promised that they would contact their supplier (which later I was told was on holidays) and advised to take them with me as they felt I had already waited too long for my sunglasses and would make every effort to rectify the matter. I believed them. After my multiple follow up calls, I had one call back stating they would make good on their promise. However, months later (purchase was made in May) and more calls, I still haven't heard from them. Customer satisfaction seems to truly not be their mandate. Very disappointed. Needless to say I will not be returning and not recommending this establishment.

The busier stores always have good service and good staff. The mall staff themselves are great. Guest services is among the most helpful in the GTA. What needs improvement in this mall is it needs proper expansion and removal of outdated stores (when the lease expires of course). There is no distinction in the direction of what the mall is selling as a category. On the weekends it gets crowded with all sorts of demographics shopping. The security staff seem swarmed. And parking is a game of survival! I expect it to improve once a proper tenant or use has been found for the now vacant Hudson Bay and the surrounding area. Right now I recommend most to visit on the weekdays, unless bumper cars in the parking lot is a ideal.

Fairview Mall has gone through an evolution and reimagination of the retail space. I love how they redeveloped the space where Sears used to be. The space is now converted into a mini Chinatown spot with Saint Germain bakery, bubble tea shop, Hong Kong style cafe, Thai restaurant, and a T&T Supermarket. On the top floor there's a Marshalls / Homesense big box store. I noticed the Zara store has been renovated and now occupying 2 levels. The store looks immaculate and love the modern layout and self serve checkout kiosks to make shopping faster for DIY people. I managed to do some shopping at H&M and got some great deals in the sale section. I also bought some groceries like green beans, lychee, bbq pork buns, and curry beef pastries. It's not very often you can go to regional mall and be able to buy clothes, groceries, and bakery goods. It was a pleasant experience. I look forward to the transformation of the vacant Hudson Bay space. Oh did I mention they have a Playdium arcade in the old Sportchek space beside the Cineplex theatre.

My old sneakers were the most comfy shoes I've owned. I can walk miles on the Vegas Strip with those pair of Nike shoes without my feet hurting. It's old, it's got holes, not on the soles but the sides, I didn't care... but I agreed with the hubby only because I am not able to dry them from the boat tour at The Niagara Falls. It was soaking wet. The store is huge. All the shoes are displayed out on the floor so if you like a pair but it's not your size then you're out of luck. The aisles were in sections by gender first then size. Clearance means not the latest model shoes so don't expect the latest here. The store was organized and neat. I noticed that all the shoes are on the shelves and not strewn down messy on the floor. Eventually, I found a pair of shoes. It wasn't love at first sight but I guess it'll grow on me eventually. It took me a while to find one that will do, paying at the cashier went fast and smooth. This Nike Clearance Store is located inside the Dixie Outlet Mall in Mississauga ON Canada. Review #3058
