Great place to purchase new and used sporting good items for adults as well as kids. Personable staff will help fit equipment correctly, and assist in finding something that fits your budget. Prices are higher than another well known used sporting goods place, but I think the quality is better too. It is consignment so that may have some influence on pricing. I don't know. I found a brand new but used Callaway pitching wedge which I can't hit but still... score! They have a great selection of used golf clubs and accessories. Especially for ladies which is hard to find. They had a better selection than both Golfsmith and the PGA store. The guys that work here are super nice too. They have a bunch of items: golf, skiing, biking, snowshoes. New and Used sporting equipment. Good selection of new and mostly used Ice hockey Equipment. Not for me right now, I typically buy top of the line pro gear. But I used to buy stuff from places like this in the past so this store is duly noted as a good resource. Lots of other types of stuff like bikes and winter sports, etc...have fun! read more

The brothers that recently took over Sports Plus are great. I have bought quite a few things there and this winter I was able to sell a bunch too! They are very friendly and helpful. The staff is knowledgeable as well when it comes to all the gear. I got great advice and deals on skis, ski boots, golf clubs, etc. My only qualm is they take 50% for consignment. Seems a little on the heavy side... even 40% would be a little better. I still plan to go here for used items though and hard to sell items of mine. I definitely recommend as a place for starter gear if you aren't ready to fully invest in new stuff! read more

Raymond at SportsPlus ALWAYS helps me out with my bike and if it doesn't need a new tire they won't suggest it. Sports Plus is honest. They have really great new/used sports equipment and gear. My son just bought his first skateboard from Sports Plus and they had to put it on hold for a couple days (which was against their policy) so he could earn another couple dollars from allowance. I went to the store to inquire about buying skis because I want to understand the total cost of skiing for the season. I was made to feel as though I was about two inches tall by the sales clerk because they don't start thinking about skiing until October. From my perspective, early purchase lift tickets have a deadline of September 1. The sales clerk would hardly permit me to speak. He would not show me any of the available skis. We've saved thousands at this place over the years. Sometimes I go in and come out with nothing but money -- my share of the stuff we've sold on consignment. Yes, the selection in any given sport is limited, because it's a small shop compared with the big boxes. But they will get you started whatever you need, and after a while they will actually remember your name, what you're playing, and what you might need next. read more

There is a decent selection, some prices are better than others, and it's nice not to have the Craigslist hassles. The staff are a little gruff, but still very courteous and helpful. i took a glove in to be re-laced after trying to do it myself. i'd say it's the best $13 i've ever spent because it's such a hassle to try to weave that giant, idiot needle through the narrow hole of a glove. the place and staff are nice enough so i'm not quite sure why i'm not giving them 5 stars except for the fact that parking was a bitch and the area is sadiddy. read more
