To describe what we got for a $12.00 Taco Salad: A small pile of tricolored tortilla chips. 12 at the most, topped with shredded lettuce, a spoonful of taco meat, shredded cheese, a row of 5 of 6 PICKLES (?!), a small dab of guacamole, a few black olives. There was supposed to be salsa and sour cream which I could not identify. Was it worth the price? Absolutely not! I will not be patronizing them again. Complete rip off!!! read more

We came for the football game specials and weren't disappointed! This was our first time being here and they just re-opened the restaurant and bar part of it. You wouldn't know it was just opened, our service was excellent! Their 50cent wings were crispy and delicious! We also shared their deep fried pickles(the BEST!), sweet potato fries and pulled pork tacos. Everything was reasonably priced and great tasting. We will be back--all season long for sure! read more

It's probably not a good sign that I'm starting with Chuck E. Cheese as the point of reference to the Via arcade, not Dave and Buster's. The arcade side is almost all the newer "gambling" games for "tickets", which are accumulated via virtual points on cards and for which you can exchange a rather limited number of prizes even compared to Carlos Queso. The fun factor in not having tickets is compensated for by the lack of frustration in counting them out, so I don't think the kids cared much. But it's pretty expensive and the masking of the true cost of each game is a kind of bait and switch, like most such places. So it goes with "arcades" these days. So far, though, all the machines have been in working order. There aren't a lot of machines because Via has tried to lump a whole bunch of things into one space: mini-bowling alleys, billiards (OK, pool), a sort of a sports bar, and a stage space. The bowling is decent but it's not going to put any real bowling alleys out of business; the lack of space is an issue, although I will say the (limited) number of rental shoes are in much better shape than most alleys, probably because they're all new. The pool tables aren't full sized but as far as entertainment dollars go, are probably the best bargain here - $5 per person per hour. They're already a little dirty, as it doesn't appear they do fastidious daily table maintenance like a pool parlor might. The bar is a disaster; the aforementioned inability to get service has been apparent on every visit we've been there. It's a really quick way to blow through some money but if you don't care about that and are there when you can do the "tour" of all the amusements it will pass some time. If that sounds a bit lukewarm, well, that's because it is. Not a destination but if you're already killing time at the mall before or after the aquarium or a movie, and have the money to burn on the kids, they will be moderately amused. read more

I normally love going to the arcade with my daughter, but since covid started they've been closed until recently... I am here now on saturday July 25 @ 8:00pm and the place is empty...! Stopped in for an appetizer and drink before a movie. Sat at the bar, I ordered a Guinness and my other half a water. Beer came right over was cold and tasted good, but a simple water on the other hand took 3 asks and 15 minutes. We ordered boneless wings and via fries. Fries were ok but didn't come with the aioli and the wings were basically dry. No silverware or napkins provided and staff (3 members) stood over by the register just hanging out. New management hasn't done anything but sink this place more. We were the only ones there on a Sunday night at 6 o'clock! read more

Good price for the Friday Italian buffet lunch but where's the meatballs? They put 2 meatballs out cut in quarters. They disappeared immediately. Then a while later they put 2 more out. What!? Come on. The Alfredo was good with chunks of chicken. Pizza meh. Not a lot of items on the buffet. No bread!? They're new so we'll give them another chance next year. Have been in 3x since the mall took over the restaurant...all three times the service has been slow (if it's busy I understand but the one time we were the ONLY people in there). The food quality has been 50/50. Last time we went the only beer selections were IPA's. Only reason we keep ending up there is the kids like the arcade. Last night I decided to go out with a few friends and my mom. I saw that Via was hosting Family Feud and thought it would be a fun night out for us. WAS I WRONG!!!! This was one of the WORSE experiences I have ever had. First, the room in which the event was held was not ready for the crowd they got OR was the staff. It was SO poorly ran. You had a large group of people and to do 4 rounds was NUTS. Then the VIA provided one server for this huge room of people. The food was cold, they never came back with your drink orders, the bathrooms were DISGUSTING,. The only good thing were the bartenders who were working their asses off! You could not PAY me to go back to this place! If you wan to host events get the staff to do it and clean up! read more

For a place that is always empty. It has the worst service. I actually watch the staff working in the dining area have conversations with friends at the bar while we sat there waiting for 10 minutes just to get a menu. Came to the Vita Port mall for a meet and greet and figured why not just have lunch while in the mall. Well mistake. The group before us sitting at the bar said they've been waiting for about almost an hour just to get asked what to eat, and told us not worth it. So we ordered raspberry iced teas, took about 20mins to get to us, never got a menu so looked one up online then the two appetizer we really wanted they didn't have. So it's about 45mins now and we just had drinks and no appetizer or worker in site. At this point I'm getting Hangry so we leave money on the table for the drinks and appetizer we never got and just left. The place is nice the bar is big the arcade and bowling alley look awesome but someone must have a lot of patient for their food and drinks if they plan on eating or drinking there. Horrible service! We were in the mall for the race car show and decided to stop by to play some games, grab a drink and a appetizer before going to dinner later. My fiancé and I sat at the bar for 25 minutes while the bartender stood at the other end chatting with other customers or leaving the bar all together for some reason. When we were finally acknowledged we didn't even bother ordering drinks or an appetizer we were so frustrated because we figured it would take forever, we just asked for a water. Even when our friends came over they never checked back up on us to see if we needed anything. If this is how they are on a slow day I'd hate to see them when they are busy. read more

Won a gift card for here last summer. It's a bit of a ride for us, so this is not somewhere we would go unless we were in the area for something else. Did not try the food, bowling or pool yet. so this is just for the arcade, which I have now been to 3 or 4 times. Decent mix of ticket based games. I've seen better, I've seen worse. Not really more than a handful of games I had any interest in though. Went in last week and a good chunk of them were out of order or not working properly. At least half the ones I would have played. So I did not stay long. My 8 year old won a few tickets, but did not really see any prizes that interested her. So I would call it an overall underwhelming experience. If I'm ever in the area, it might get checked out, but not worth going out of the way for. read more

The place visually, is awesome. Service, not so much. We were seated immediately, but it took 15 minutes before the manager even noticed that we didn't have drinks. So the manager took our order for drinks and by that time we were ready to order our food. We ordered appetizers and entrees at the same time, waited 30 minutes before anything else came out. Mind you, in this 30 minutes no one came by to check how we were, or refill drinks. We looked over several times and saw servers and the manager at a table in the corner rolling silverware. Wings came out lukewarm, along with my tomato bisque and grilled cheese. Both also came out at the same time. Seriously? Ugh. Attended a comedy show. Four entertainers - two were "up-and-off" within 8 minutes. Really? At least two (maybe three) of the comics broached the subject of on-line dating in their routines. Don't they compare material before getting on stage, so it isn't repetitive? And the service... OMFG. Sold out show, and had O-N-E bartender / waiter providing service. I asked for a beer - they were out. I ordered a different beer - it was NEVER served to me?!? Yet, the bartender ran out TWO sets of drinks to a table of four women next to us (drinks, and shots), AND ran out TWO sets of drinks to the other table next to us - which was set up after-the-fact, for apparent friends of the bouncer. This place is AMAZING my husband and I went there to celebrate and have a day out. We bowled and even though we were the only ones there because they just opened but, we had the whole bowling alley to oursleves. Bright colorful lights on us and the alley, they turned up the music for us and it was so much fun. We ate at their place they have in there not only we had great service but the food was really good. After that my husband and I are a kid at heart so of course we play the games and we hit jackpot on a couple of games leaving us with 1000 tickets. We had a blast and not only we had fun we are definitely going back there another time. read more

There was a hair in the buffalo wings we ordered had a hair and when we told our waitress she said "well they're frozen" as if that's ok. Instead of taking them off the bill they offered to take 10% of the bill which only came to $5 and the wings cost $12. The service was horrendous. We felt ignored. We had to go to the bar to get our drinks, napkins, etc. there was no apologies regarding the lack of service. There wasn't any toilet paper in 2 of the stalls in the bathroom. There was an employee in the bathroom when my daughter asked me to pass her toilet paper. She abruptly left the bathroom. The first time I went, it was EXCELLENT. Food was delicious, & service was quick. However, the last 2 times have been the total opposite. We placed an order for takeout, and were told a 10 minute wait max. 24 minutes for 10 chicken wings and 2 tacos. Turns out they had been sitting out at the bar waiting to be served the whole time. We literally watched a server run over and throw them in a to go box. When asked if the food she gave us was the stuff that had been sitting out, she gave some excuse along the lines of "they were sent to the wrong table so we put in a new batch for you". Umm..we weren't even seated so how did they get sent to the wrong table?? It was a take out order! The servers are friendly, but the actual service and food itself needs work. Food was fine. The major problem was that we were chrged $10.00 for a Sloop Juice Bomb Pint. I asked about it after we received the bill and was told that is the price. We went for the Father's Day special after spending a couple of hours at the aquarium. Having never been here before, it looked like an awesome experience to end our day! Boy was i wrong! We wandered around for about 5 minutes looking for a host of some sort so we can be seated only to be redirected to the bar area by guest services. After all that, we were told to seat ourselves while the host looked for more menus, mind you there was only one other table of patrons. I asked for a highchair before sitting and had to retrieve one myself. Our bill came before our food and much to our surprise, a 20% gratuity was automatically added!! I ordered the steak and potato soup, bbq chicken and cheesecake while my son ordered the philly sandwich. The soup, although it tasted good, was thickened with flour and was all lumps. The fries that were served with my bbq chicken were barely warm. My chicken was cold and tasted a little off but couldn't quite figure out why. When I got home and reheated the leftovers, I was able to see the RAW chicken that I was served! The desserts were obviously brought in frozen as the chocolate cake was freezer burnt! Our dinners came with a $5 game card for each child which was nice to keep my son occupied while we waited for our dinners, but $10 in games meant he got to play 5 times and was able to cash in his 34 prize tickets for a squirt gun that holds 1/2 teaspoon of water. To say its overpriced doesnt come close...to say i was disappointed doesn't even come close...to say I'm disgusted. ..yeah..that's almost the right word. Worst managed restaurant in the capital region. If you are going to the aquarium and plan on getting something to eat after you are best off ordering, leaving to see the fish and coming back 45 minutes later. Food might be ready by then. We brought the kids in after the aquarium and the server told us they had 3 burgers left but the table next to us ordered 2 so 1 left. No hotdogs. How does a sports bar and arcade only have 3 burgers and no hotdogs on a Sunday afternoon a half hour before football games start? Completely baffling how inept the management of this place is. There were three tables of people and one server but the food still took almost 45 minutes for a quesadilla, grilled cheese and boneless wings. Boneless wings came out all bone in wings, took another 15 min to get new ones. The server was good but what is the issue with the food and wait times? She took off some $ for the wing mixup without me asking which I thought was the way it should have been handled, not her fault. Also this is not the first time this has happened here. Games are alright if they are working. We got the unlimited pass for $30 which is well worth the money but have to reactivate it at the desk each time. It's really a shame about this place because that area so desperately needs some life and culture places like the aquarium. Went to dinner this evening with the family. Had to ask bartender what we should do, go sit or what. No greeter or seater at the desk. Slow night, we were one of two families of four eating. Waitress came and took drink order, waited, waited, got our drinks. Took our orders for food, waited, waited, waited and waited. Got our food, sons sliders were burned and all of our fries were cold. Waitress apologized and said it wasn't the first time that day, the manager would be out to see us. Waited, waited, apparently the manager was to busy but he would talk to the kitchen staff. Funny because he walked past us several times shortly afterwards... Anywho, waited for another drink, waited, waited, waitress finally came over after being flagged down and apologized, said she was trying to get back over. Did I mention that we were one of an eventual three families of four eating there at the time?!?!?!?!?! They credited my sons meal, thanks. The menu is terrible, the prices are ridiculous and the staff could really care less. Hopefully you read this before heading out and save yourself from this restaurant/bar/bowling alley/game room joke. Overpriced and a waste of time.
