My unique, high dollar purchase doesn't give you the right to touch it. Check the serial number and put it back. If it's not yours then hands off. I think this store is under appreciated. While the service can be slow, especially around the holidays, it is probably the best option for the serious outdoors person in my area. Good selection of inventory, good prices, and occasional sales. clothes and camping are more limited, but hunting, fishing gear is excellent. read more

One star is much too high. I placed an order for a high dollar shotgun that was promoted on the website as in stock. That was not the case. I waited patiently for more than a week and the product is still pending shipment but now it's too late to cancel the order. They did offer me a 10% promo code. Apparently they wanted the opportunity to disappoint me again. read more

Stopped by Sportsmans Warehouse on my way through Iowa and glad I did. First time visiting one of these stores and was very pleased with the selections. The store itself was very nice and clean and the staff was very friendly. I always enjoy getting to check out a new to me outdoor store and Sportsmans Warehouse was worth the stop. read more

Potential customers need to be warned of the intentional deceptive practices of this company. I placed an order for a child carrier and was sent a lower model with no explanation in hopes that I would not notice. I was forced to prove the error with photos before they would authorize a return. It was one week before Christmas yet they refused to send the correct item unless I purchased it again, meaning they would have a double charge on my card, even though the error was theirs. This was an expensive purchase but the 15% discount I originally received made it more affordable. However, the purchase would not go through as their system could not process our credit cards (we tried multiple cards). I was told to wait 48 hours for them to correct the problem but given a deadline of 72 hours to honor my discount. When I had heard nothing in 48 hours I called. I was told there was no record of my original one hour call and the person I said I spoke to does not exist at their company. Yet, this non-existent person on this non-existent call sent me a return label and left an email trail. I spoke to two additional customer service reps who were rude and refused to replace the carrier, even with payment, saying that they did not have them. This clearly was an intentional 'bait and switch" providing an inferior product instead of what I ordered. Read the reviews, people. This company continues to lie to their customers. They are untrained, rude employees who make no effort to help and deny their intentional deceptive practices. Buy your products elsewhere. They should not be in business! read more

This place is great. They allow you to bring your dog inside and they have treats. The gun selection is excellent. Their selection of clothes, shoes, etc is so much larger than you think it could be until you get inside. read more

The Sportsman's Warehouse is an excellent place to shop for hunting and fishing gear. They need more staff to help with customers, the staff they do have are excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable. They also offer a military discount, an excellent way to show Patriotism for the folks who have served. I have never had a bad experience here, although sometimes you have to wait an extremely long time for help. I have purchased several firearms and they will bore sight your scope for free, that makes it pretty easy for when you get to the range. read more

When they first opened they were a great place to shop. Now when customer service is more important than ever, considering all the recent competition, they have just completely failed. The employee's show a total lack of care for waiting on their customers. Not just once but five separate visits I've left with hundreds of unspent dollars in my pocket to go to the competition because the employees here would rather not be bothered. I've worked retail and know this behavior will hurt them in the long run. And it's not a fluke, it's been going on for several years now. No wonder their business has fallen off. I would have to agree with the previous reviewer stating their customer service is lacking. You can walk in and find staff stationed at either the cash register, knife display, or gun display. Other than those areas it is difficult to find staff to ask a question or get assistance. Overall though if you do not need help, it is a good place to shop for self defense items, firearms, hunting supplies, etc. read more

As far as I know, this place has the best selection of camping items in the metro! Came here to browse and ended up getting some tent tape to fix the damage done by a rambunctious, yet loving pit bull who decided to make his own doggie door on our last camping trip. I could not help but browse at tents in their tent loft, and they have some very large tents. Some appear larger than some cabins I have stayed in. Accessories such as camp appliances, camp toilets, camp food, and beds are very well stocked with lots of selection. Prices definitely less than REI for the same product. As for their other selections, they appear to have ample selections for hunting and fishing. This place certainly appeals more to outdoorsman type stuff (ie. fishing, camping, hunting) rather than past times of soccer moms and offspring as found in stores such as the late Sports Authority. read more

Nope. I don't know why I keep going back. The last three time I've been in this store I took my purchases to check out only to give up and walk out. There's either no one there or only one clueless person. Sometimes they check you out at customer service but usually there's a customer standing there waiting for someone to come back from wherever they ran off to. Today there was a line at the check stand and a line at customer service and NO ONE there. NO ONE. Nobody telling people what was going on. I ordered a Lews reel online. It was advertised as a great deal, and probably would have been. Looking back, it seems more like a shady business practice. My credit card had a pending charge on it for five days before I received an email that the order was canceled. Had I purchased other items along with the salndne item, I'm sure they would have been more than happy to take my money for the full priced items. Extremely disappointed, and they did not attempt to make it right. read more

The employees make this store an amazing place to shop. They have a lot of merchandise to meet your needs in the way of hunting, fishing, camping and a surprisingly large clothing department. You'll find that the staff actually use the products they endorse and aren't on commission so you'll get the product YOU want, not what they will make money on. read more
