Ive been to a few Cultural Festival and i have experienced and learned about the chamorro culture, vietnamese, mexican, chinese culture etc. Versus this event -- they didnt have the filipino flags, parole, halo-halo, filipino songs, games, bamboo, Big Spoon or Fork LOL. They had a lot of cool performances that was fun. They had a huge stage and should of had a game show like on TFC or WOWOWEE. My friend and i plan to have the halo halo stand next year to feel more like home. They had a good amount of food choices from other places. there was only one station serving pancit and loompya. Manila Sunset, seafood city or tita's kitchenette should have been there as sponsor to support or sell their food. I hope next year it will be better. I look forward to the National City one.

First come first serve, bring your own net. Although, there always seems to be a full house. The only time I've seen it empty was on an overcast afternoon. Indoors: there are also three courts lined over the ball court. The center supples the three nets and balls. Lots of rec centers make you bring your own balls. Staff are prompt at starting/ending open play. For schedules, google Carmel Mtn Rec open gym. Times vary. I enjoy playing indoors more than outdoors bc 1) no wind 2) if I fall, it doesn't hurt as much 3) no sun 4) feels easier on the feet/legs/body. The indoor lines are not the easiest to read. You definitely have to play a few times before you get used to it. The outdoor courts are also not great bc there's a slant in the pavement. Feels like there isn't that much room to move around in certain sides of the court.

This place is popular for birthday parties because that same day, there were at least five other birthday parties and they have multiple parties at the second floor open space. When we arrived, there was a sign saying parents could jump for $6.99 if tickets were purchased there, which was already frustrating. The second we walked in, the heat hit us like a brick. An employee told us that part of their air conditioning was not working. It was around 90 degrees outside, and it genuinely felt cooler outside than it did inside the building. We were sweating just sitting down. We tried to stay optimistic and headed toward the trampolines, but it was so crowded that it was nearly impossible to jump. There were maybe 10 small benches for approximately 50 parents. Where was everyone supposed to sit? I asked whether a manager was available and explained the situation to the employees at the front. They were understanding, took my phone number and said a manager would call me. No one ever did. I also emailed corporate and received no response. We stayed for less than 20 minutes despite paying for two hours for our child and one hour for both adults. Between the broken air conditioning, extreme heat, overcrowding, lack of seating, pricing difference and complete lack of follow-up, this was a terrible experience. Don't waste your time or money at this location.

Had to drive over towards a residential area and park on a side street to even get within walking distance. It is a nice park. There are plenty of baseball / softball diamonds, a batting cage, a snack shack, restroom, and some picnic tables. Just bring protective gear if you are trying to eat lunch at a picnic table. Almost hit numerous times by fielders practicing throw and catch, but they could not catch. The park is ok, it is across the street from old Poway park. There are some trees, some shade, and there was a play structure. But don't go on a Saturday morning when softball and the farmer's market, if you want any peace or quiet. A few photos attached.

The mini golf is different. It is neon glow style and you can play with 3-D glasses but we didn't play with them. There are 9 holes with the last one being a ball collector so make sure you only use this when you are done. We may have played through a few times to get our moneys worth. Most of the games are a dollar or more per play which is hard for me as I am older and remember when games were a lot less but those are the times. We still had fun and will likely be back. We got a few tickets, around 2,000 but as typically we were not able to get much with our tickets. They do have a lot of options but just not much we were interested in.
