It's one of the finest courses in the area. There are many challenging holes which amps up the competition if you are gambling with friends on whose the best putt putter. Naturally I won. The price to play here is great and the scenery is nice. The pirate theming here is Arrrrrrrr-inspiring. I love this Westland Treasure!. An added bonus is that the course has a little pirate jail in the middle of the castle in case your little ones ever get tired and need a nap while you gamble paychecks with your G's. First visit was excellent. Played all of the courses and racing cars. TODAY? today was terrible. The entire course was RIDDLED with frogs. This is because all of the water was drained out of the little makeshift pond the have . So many frogs it was hard to play. Frogs of all sizes just jumping out and crossing your path. Really gross. I literally left mid game. I soon realized this was the reason our party was the only party playing the courses and everyone else was in the batting cages. Not going back for awhile . We had an absolute blast at Sportway about a month ago... especially me because I had the fastest cart and lapped everyone! We also played a couple rounds of putt-putt which was enjoyable as well. If you haven't been in a while, it's worth a revisit and it's definitely a community keeper. A very fun time for a 30 going on 13 birthday celebration. We did the whole package with batting cages (lots of great options in speed and balls), honestly pretty amazing mini golf (just a tough amount of gnats everywhere) and golf karts (wish there was a line up to start rather than just racing right out of the lanes. Won't be returning due to frogs covering the course felt like I was walking through a plague

When I got to this wonderful place, I was lost and was quite overwhelmed. This nice gentleman who goes by Nick noticed my stress, and came over to help me out. He was very helpful and showed me where all of the fun activities were located. I offered to give him a tip for his great help, and he politely declined. Went mid-week after lunch with my family and was pleasantly surprised by how friendly the staff was, especially after reading some of the other reviews. Everyone from the young lady at the ticket counter to the gentlemen running the go-karts to the amazing young man at the "jumpy-thing" were pleasant, accommodating and available. No wait for any of the attractions - it was pretty dead which was fine by me! Is it as nice as CJ Barrymore's? No, but it's 5 minutes from my house and my kids don't care that the putt putt course is overgrown with weeds in areas. It was a really fun day for us, and special thanks again to that young man at the "jumpy-thing" - he got quite an arm workout manually helping my 5 year old daughter get super high. this putt putt course has water next to and in front of holes that you have to hit hard enough to go up a hill. If you hit it even slightly hard your ball will land in the water and sportway refuses to give you another ball! I spent a bunch of money to take my grand babies out for some fun and we lost two balls! I ended up having to lean over the edge and fish a ball out of the stream so that we could share a ball to finish! If you have water features why not make the edge of the green high enough so that it won't go in the water sooooo easily!! I won't be back read more

This place is cool! I love mini golf and with two courses, this is twice the fun. If you are going to make a day of it get a wristband for $20.00. It's good for 5 events of your choice, pick from go-karts, mini golf, or 5 batting cage tokens (each token gets you 15 pitches). We usually just play a round or two of mini golf ($5 or $6 bucks apiece depending on which course you pick) but if we had kids we would likely be getting wristbands. If you are fishbelly white like I am be sure to wear your sunscreen. I got horribly burnt playing golf here one afternoon. It's not terribly shady. Other than that no issues other than some very slow play from time to time and running into the occasional cranky grownup. Remember not to get your panties into a bunch about things here, lighten up and have fun like a kid would. They have a recently done go kart track, new batting cages this season. They do keep things up to date. Bear in mind I write this review at the very beginning of the season though. Employees are hit and miss but I have never really had an issue and I come a couple times every year at least. read more

Social distancing is not being enforced. We figured since the state aloud them to open it was going to be sanitary. We stood in line with a parents around that let their kid with no mask sneeze in the air! Staff is understaffed by teenagers with no adult management. Would not issue a refund. During this pandemic if we are feeling uncomfortable we should be accommodated. Stated due to "hippa" law they can't enforce masks. Completely waste of time! read more

Tonight was my first time ever coming here, and it was a great experience! The golf courses are fun, but not too hard. I also like that they are longer courses, so you don't just rush through them so fast. I love that they sell dollar slushies over at the golf course hut. It was also my first time go-karting, and I had so much fun racing on the track! The employees were all super kind, helpful, and friendly! It's definitely worth $20 to get the wristband. Come at sunset and enjoy the beautiful scenery. :) read more

The girl at the booth was terribly rude and did not even try to hide that she didn't want to be there at all! She was propped back in a chair with her feet up and let out a big "ugh" like we were bothering her! What a way to send a family off to their game of mini golf on a Saturday night! I normally love this place but won't be back if this is how they are going to treat their customers! That being said the Island course was a lot of fun! read more

Four stars because I only played the putt putt course which was really cool. It wasn't really packed the staff was pretty decent. Everything else like pretty fun but again I didn't try none of that other stuff just to put put. And it wasn't playing very maintained shape read more

It was a great place to take the kids today! And more importantly the guys that were running the go kart track were extremely kind when my daughter was having trouble driving the car. They gave her an extra run around and even chose the extra slow cart for her. She was able to experience what her siblings got to do and she was very happy for it. Great staff!!!! read more

So disappointed in this place. We were there a month ago and didn't use all of our coupons for the go carts. We were there late and they were closing up and asked if we could use them next time. They said of course!! Tonight, they refused to honor the coupons clearly stamped with Sports Way. We had $30 worth. It costs them next to nothing to honor their word. My family of 6 has had birthday parties and lots of family memories there. They have taken then fun. We will take our business elsewhere. read more

We brought our baseball team here to utilize the outdoor batting cages. We called on our way and they informed us they were open until 9pm. Upon our arrival we were turned away and told rudely that they were closing. Our entire Little League Organization will locate alternate outdoor batting cages in the future. read more

It is difficult for me to rate this establishment, because although their hours are posted as being open until 9 PM, they have a habit of closing when there's a little bit of rain. With spring baseball season upon us, it is unfortunate that they seem to like to close early when kids are looking to practice their hitting skills. I wish sport way would be more honest about their actual business hours. We came here last night, and they were closed before 9 PM. Driving down ford road you can't miss Sport-Way of Westland its just by Hix road just look for the large pirate ship and you know your there. There are go carts, batting cages and two mini golf courses. The go carts you get to go around 3 laps in gas powered carts, my favorite activity there is the mini golf and I love the Island course where you play up past the giant pirate skull. Sport-Way of Westland is very family friendly and you see a lot of families there. read more

Cage #1 failed after 2 balls, informed the office and they sent a guy to verify my claim, he manually fed the balls through instead of shutting it down and giving me a token to use a different cage. I ended up moving to cage #4 "medium baseball" and found that the balls were landing about 12" above the plate. I complained again and yet again was not offered a refund. This place is in disrepair and they don't seem to care as cage #1 is still broken and still open to take people's tokens. I won't be coming back here. read more

Best batting cages around! We stop by every time we are in town. Great prices and plenty of batting cages so never a real wait time. Haven't tried their put put golf or go carts, but there are always kids around having a blast using those. Awesome place to take a family or just go to practice your swing. read more

Looks like management have given up on the ONE working mini-golf course here. No waterfalls; murky brown water in its place. Very unkempt course; strange brown patches at each hole. The Harbor Course looked like it was under construction?? Incredibly disappointed with this experience - not worth the 6 bucks. read more
