I honestly really wouldn't recommend coming here if you don't wanna waste money. Though all of the attractions seem appealing, they are all overpriced and dysfunctional. One time, a friend visiting me wanted to go go-karting so I bought us tickets. It was $25/person to go around about 7 times. I was given a kart that couldn't turn right unless it super slow so I had to slow down drastically every time. I eventually got ran into which put my kart out of commission for the rest of the rounds. It was no fun at all and I should have been offered a refunded since I couldn't even do the activity I paid for properly. I've also done this selfie golf which is okay but it just wasn't for me. I could tell it wasn't well cleaned or maintained. I've tried both of the bars which had great bartenders both times. The drinks are way overpriced just as the food is as well. It's about $25 for some chicken wings which they didn't even bother to try to make look good on their menu. Your first time there, you have to spend a minimum of $20 just to get a pass and some of the popular games aren't even working properly. You can get this thing called a rainbow pass where you can play certain games unlimited for a set period of time but it limits you to only the shooting and driving games which get tiring after 15 minutes. Overall, I really wouldn't suggest people going here unless you want to take a loan out for mid-tier games and overpriced food. read more

Ordering food was quite disorganized...the kiosk was very easy but because nobody was manning the cashier area where we were supposed to pay, we were walking around unsure what to do next. Once I got my wristband from the front counter, the employee walked over to the cashier area and took care of our food tickets. They did not have nearly enough staff to accommodate how many people were there. Once we were done with food and drinks, it was go time for the games. The wristband got us into laser tag, a few arcade games, bumper cars, bull riding, obstacle course, and slides. It ended up being a great time despite the chaos in the beginning. My suggestion would be to have someone at the front welcoming people and asking them where they were going/what they planned to do. First off Elroy is the best bartender there! He was on top of everything he was very smart and very knowledgeable about the drinks they have there. He was super friendly and very helpful about the place. I can't get over how many fun things there is to here. The best time to go is on a Sunday evening. We did the smash room but also checked out everything else on each floor. Just realized I hadn't updated my review yet! After my first post, the owner Dana personally reached out, shared his contact info, and helped me book my son's birthday party. He was super helpful and made the whole process smooth and easy. At first, I had trouble reaching the team, but once I connected with Dana, everything went perfectly. He even answered my call while on paternity leave and made sure things went as planned, really appreciate that level of care! They recommend kids wear the non-slip socks provided, and only cakes or cupcakes are allowed from outside. They also have great food and party tray options to choose from. We booked the unlimited party package with a private room, which includes arcade cards, all the arcade games, and nine attractions. The kids had an absolute blast! There was a small menu mix-up, but the staff fixed it immediately. Also loved their photo spot near the entrance, perfect for pictures and memories! While unlimited games and activities were advertised, there were not enough staff members available to properly support them. This led to long waits and a lack of assistance throughout the event. Best In Games offers a pretty unique value proposition in the Ypsi/ Ann Arbor area. It's one of a few businesses around here that provides entertainment options for kids and adults alike, along with full bar service and dining as well. I've been to BIG a couple of times now and the vibe can be totally different depending on when you're around -- weekend afternoons are super packed with families and young kids, so it can feel hectic to walk around as an adult looking to enjoy a Saturday afternoon. In contrast, evenings/ nights seem more casual as they're adult focused, and require more scrutiny around minors being allowed to even enter after 8pm. There are certain areas that are off limits to minors as well (including the Sugar Sugar bar/ lounge upstairs). In addition to the full suite of arcade games (which are well set up and maintained), they also have a set of larger activities which can be quite fun too. I'd personally recommend laser tag, bumper cars, etc. -- we didn't get to try the go karts or mini golf, but perhaps for another visit! The key highlight for me as a Karaoke fan is that BIG offers free karaoke on the weekends, and also allows you to reserve karaoke rooms for your group! I personally really appreciate having the option one way or another, and both offer different benefits. The key detractor is the expense at BIG... wristbands are expensive, drinks are expensive, and the unexpected charges (like special socks to go into certain areas) can be real detractors. The cost of things almost turned BIG into a 3-star review, but I can appreciate that offering so much content in this area is expensive, so that trade-off might be more justified. Overall... I'm not in a rush to come back to BIG for activities/ arcade... but sign me up for more karaoke! read more

This place is fantastic! Brought niece and nephew for holiday outing with their Aunty. They are running a school break special. 1st floor wristbands for $29. Noon - 8pm. At 11 and 13 they sure can go! Make it a Thursday and the arcade is half off! For $120 (wristbands and 2 - $25 arcade cards and two sodas) they had an experience they will remember forever. Aunty chilled, and even had a drink at the bar while they were in a laser tag session. Tito's and soda was $8, not bad. The fufu drinks are overpriced and too sweet. Almost a full bar with a lot of beer options. The restaurant is order at the kiosk. Most payments are touchless. You can rent a locker or just leave your crap in your car. We are elsewhere but the menu wasn't bad. Plenty of seating. I didn't go upstairs to the Go-karts or other bar. Unlimited really was unlimited for first floor, except arcade. Buy the socks for the adventure park or bring your own. Plenty of parking, nice staff and relatively clean. Surprisingly so with the traffic through here. read more

We drove an hour out for our friends birthday party. They raved about this place, and have been begging us to come. The only reason we took the drive was because of them. Every bar we went to had 1 bartender. Service was super slow. Took 15 minutes to get 1 drink. We paid for a party section, got the whole package deal, seated ourselves, no waitress came, no bartender came. We had to walk to the bar for service. Drinks were mediocre, they need to teach their bartenders to make better drinks. Food was extremely over priced. I paid 20 bucks for pickle fries and a soda. Had a party section, but still had to go downstairs to order food. The cashier lanya was the most rudest, obnoxious person there. Short black girl, with the short afro, gave us a hard time for absolutely no reason. We ordered our food on the kiosk, which is then required to go to cashier for payment to "make order complete, and send to kitchen". She cashed out the people in front of us, and then walks away from the desk for 10 minutes. We're still standing there. She comes back and looks at the cashier desk, and then walks away again. By the time she comes back, she cashes out 3 of the 7 people in our party waiting to pay. She Says "you can only order fried food". Then SHE WALKS AWAY AGAIN. She then comes back and says oh the kitchen is closed, so everyone who ordered but hasn't paid yet, cannot get food. But she was the one who walked away 3 times. The bar manager notices we've been waiting a long time at the cashier desk, and comes and asks what happened. He makes it right and then puts all our orders through. 5 more people who ordered after us were still able to put food in. Again, we dont know what lanyas deal is. To top it off, she starts harassing our party, keeps doing circles around our tables, laughing, flicking us off, saying crude swear words, and we have done absolutely nothing wrong but maybe be at the wrong place at the wrong time. We told management about it; but they did not bother to bring her over to us to apologize or at least acknowledge as to what her problem was. Management acted like they were going to review the tapes and hold her accountable for FLICKING us off 3 TIMES. Cussing us out, and saying f you multiple times. If this is how you treat customers and the poor way of training your staff, I can see why it was so dead on a Saturday. The staff here are setting this business up for failure because there is no accountability and organization what so ever. Would We come back here again? NEVER! The gaming is great. There is a lot to do here, which I found out after checking the place our. There are 2 levels. The first level has many games and the primary bar. There is also food you can order. The second level has many of the anger games and also a bar. There are go carts, Lazer tag, fowling, and axe throwing, just to name a few. I've always wanted to do axe throwing, so I gave it a whirl. It is not as easy as it looks bur fun. You are given instructions and the rules. I ordered a drink and found out you had to order from the kiosk for food. That was enlightening and interesting. I ordered from the bar last time, so this must have changed. It's a great place to go for a fun experience, especially with the kids. You can even have team building events here. I will be back to improve my axe throwing. read more

Best in games? Maybe not best, but still pretty good. Let's dive in. For any arcade to get me in the door, there has to be pinball. Amazingly, not all modern arcades have pinball machines. I get it. But pinball has always held a spot in my heart, and I have little interest in the huge flashy games that are simply large-form versions of the basics from my youth. B.I.G. has a ton of the later. I also should confess a predisposition against arcades where the cost of the game is obscured by requiring "credits" from pre-paid swipe cards. I prefer the transparency of plunking quarters into a coin box, or even slipping dollars into a cash slot. Games have gotten more expensive. I get that and have come to peace with inflation. Still, six "credits" for a game of pinball? When you purchase a larger sum volume of credits and get some bonus ones for "free" as part of the deal, six credits translates to $1.20 per game of pinball. For anyone who doesn't play a lot, that's a 20% premium over the typical machine. Most pins elsewhere will give you three plays for $2, which the machines at B.I.G. do not. If you are accustomed to that pricing model, well the B.I.G. pinball machines cost double to play. If these machines were the best, than maybe that could be worth while. However, objectively they are not. Newfangled pinball machines are produced with tiered quality and production levels. For example, Stern's Godzilla machine has a deluxe model which features a three story building which "collapses" as it becomes damaged by the "monster". The deluxe playfield also has a rotating Mecha Godzilla with a magnet in its belly to capture a ball. B.I.G. does not have the best version of Godzilla or any of their pinball machines. The Stern machines have the Insider Connected™ system, however it is not connected. Sad face. All the same, B.I.G. can still be a plenty fun time, and I will most definitely return. I have to, since I still have a bunch of value on the play card I purchased! As opposed to some other pinball spots, the third floor of B.I.G. has a bar, so you can grab a beer while playing the pins. It's also decidedly more quiet up there, which is a blessed break from the din of the first floor. Sadly, there are no cup holders on the pinball machines, which is a thing some bars have. But that's kinda par for the course of B.I.G. It's good, but it could be better. read more

Best in games is a fun place overall. The adventure course is super fun and there's a lot of things to do once you enter. I recently also tried their selfie mini golf which was not as fun. There were some cool mini golf courses but overall the place was pretty small and the experience was overshadowed by the difficulty of getting a worker to come help us get our mini golf clubs and balls. There was not a worker there at the mini golf station working so we were waiting for a bit. Some of the selfie stations are outdated so we didn't even feel like taking a picture with them but some of them were cool. read more

This place is Wow! I have never seen such a ginormous game facility in Michigan...well...ever! This is pretty epic! I am not sure when it opened, but there are three floors of fun. On the bottom floor you have a large assortment of games and the ticket/ prize counter. A fairly big restaurant and bar area compared to literally any other arcade in the area with a pretty good looking menu. We did not get a chance to eat or drink, but I am betting we will soon. They also have rides and an obstacle course on this level. Next two levels have laser tag, mini golf, ax throwing, feather bowling, more bars, and race cars, amazing. They even have those adorable over priced fish bowl drinks with smoke coming off the top of the glass, to share with your mates. Each level has a bar and some snacks to order and prime spots near the activities. Plus there are several areas for private parties, which there were many. This is such a fun place to come with friends and family and even alone. I hear it from the Zap-Zone people. We will near a Zap-Zone, and the kids love it, but this is an epic sized Zap-Zone with more than a days worth of activities to experience. I love forward to coming back and doing more here. I love the fun vibe and all of the crazy decor. Even the stairwells have fun pictures depicting fun scenes. This is a must see place at least once if you are into arcades and indoor rides. read more

I came here to celebrate my grandfathers birthday. The go karting was really fun we had 2/3 rounds. There not regular go karts either they go fast so you gotta out a helmet on at the end they give you times and who placed in what. There is three levels inside and So many things to do I didn't get a chance to do everything but I got a chance to walk around a few times. When they did come by the ride last year in a few minutes. This place definitely lives up to its name, it's BIG in every sense of the word! My friends and I explored all three floors tonight, and I'm pretty sure my jaw hit the floor seeing everything they had to offer. They offer arcade games, mini-golf, lazer tag, axe/ninja star throwing, an obstacle course, go-karts, as well as a couple of full-on rides like a drop tower and bumper cars. My friends and I played the mini-golf course (aka "Golfie") that had lots of cute spots to take photos throughout and spent time at the Candy Bar and the arcade. I didn't catch the name of our bartender but he was really nice and was able to turn the "Pinky Promise" drink into a fantastic mock-tail for me as I don't drink alcohol. One thing I would recommend is perhaps having some kind of indication on the drink menu as to which ones can be made without alcohol for those like me who don't like alcohol but still want a fun drink. All of the arcade games are really fun, and there's a good mixture of games that you can win points/tickets from and general fun arcade type stuff. Sadly I have to deduct one star from my review as the claw game and one of the pinball games on the third floor (the Godzilla pinball machine specifically) that I was playing malfunctioned and ate my credits. Thankfully with the claw machine at least a staff member was able to fix the machine and refund some credits back onto my card. One day I'll win that plushie though! Overall I definitely enjoyed my experience at BIG, though I will say it gets extremely loud with everything going on almost to the point you can barely hear yourself or your friends. There's very few places where it's genuinely quiet, and I think offering a few more quiet areas would be helpful particularly for those who are prone to sensory overload or anxiety and want a place to escape the loudness for a moment and decompress. I had a very fun time though and will most likely come back to try some of the other activities I didn't get a chance to try tonight. My only other issue is the fact that while my friends and I were eating at the sports-bar/cafe area on the first floor, a woman stopped by our table and solicited us with business cards for some place or other that she was a manager for. This definitely felt uncalled for and is something I probably should have brought up to a staff member but didn't think to do so. Despite the minor issues I had, I would still recommend BIG as a fun place to hang out. Easily the hottest and most fun thing to do in Ypsilanti right now. Three floors with axe throwing, ninja star throwing, fowling, go carts, huge arcade floor, laxer tag, trampoline park, vr motion ride, bumper cars, sports bar with food (chicken wings are good here but $16 for 8 and also had the chicken Caesar wrap with twisted fries which was pretty good) and sugar factory inspired like bar (high price drinks). Between this, the movie theater, and a handful of restaurants all on this carpenter street, you will not have to leave this area at all. A must do. read more

The bartender at the Sugar bar was extremely rude & we couldn't find her , as she kept on disappearing-So much so a customer walked behind the bar, And she didn't even know because she was not there. The service at the Pit stop bar was just as bad. Tips are already included with the food and drink purchases. So the bar tenders can act however they want, & they get a tip regardless. They ended up closing early. Buy 1030, when the website says 12am. We spent about $250. Would have spent way more if the service was better and they didn't close early. For starters My sister came here on her birthday as a paying customer and she was very upset that MJ the kitchen staff kept giving her mean dirty looks and kept circling around the table. The staff here threatened to call the police on me for absolutely nothing when I asked them what the issue was nobody gave me a direct answer. I didn't come here to cause issues, which is why when Sam,Josiah, and Mj huddled around my sister's table with security I chose to remain quiet because I was not trying to cause a scene or trouble this place does not care about their employees. Dana the manager also instead of addressing the issue threatened to put me out by calling the police. Their kitchen staff (excluding Cass) are all very emotional and angry all the time and I still haven't figured out why they are allowed to still work there. I absolutely love this place and the vibe it presents. My friends and I went to B.I.G. over the weekend and had the best time ever! We rode the go carts and played some games. The ax throwing is something that I'll try next time along with the trampolines. The food was ok, just bar food, but was told they will soon be expanding their menu. Customer service was exceptional! John, the manager, who was helping bartending and serving food made us feel very welcome. He has a great personality and we were laughing and joking around with him.
