Got the pastrami as did one friend and the other friend got a chicken pesto. The bread was fresh and good, however the rest of the sandwich was just OK. Maybe I expected more based on other reviews.. My friend summed it up best when he proclaimed "that sandwich was similar to a sandwich you'd get in an airport eatery, maybe 15% better. With drinks and chips for all three the damage was $70. The clientele seemed to be exclusively engineers and tech folk so maybe that explains the above average cost. read more

I stumbled on spreadz on yelp while looking for a quick meal during my lunch break in Santa Clara. I ordered for pick up through grubhub and it was ready by the time I arrived. Always appreciate that. It's nestled in the middle of an industrial plaza. There is no way you would know about it unless you found it on yelp or through word of mouth. They have a nice indoor eating area as well as a beautiful outdoor space. They have a good selection of drinks, chips, and snacks. Super impressed with the peace teas and sugar free Snapple! I ordered the veggie sandwich on sourdough. The bread was so good! Tasted super fresh. I also really loved their chipotle sauce. It has a great kick to it. Work brought in Spreadz for a work lunch. They had a variety to select from and chose the Italian sandwich on Dutch Crunch bread. This was a solid sandwich with fresh ingredients. The star of the sandwich was the Cajun Mayo. It was so addicting, that it was hard to pace myself. Spreadz is definitely a great spot to grab a sandwich. Convenient place to get a quick lunch in Santa Clara. Dutch crunch roll is delicious. Was highly recommend this place because of it, and it did not disappoint. Chipotle Chicken sandwich went great with it. Service was quick, but I'd recommend ordering at the counter rather than self-service monitors as it was too manual of a process to enter everything you wanted. This is such a fast, yummy hidden gem. The sandwiches are always yummy but I love the soup and salad. My favorite it Tomato basil on the chicken noodle soup one of the guys let me try it mixed and I've been obsessed! The staff are always so nice and they know the menu well. The place is small but clean. They also have outdoor seating. Decent sandwich place! Not the best but it does the job for a quick sandwich for lunch. It has a nice little seating area outside and is nearby a lot of offices. We ordered: Chicken club: chicken, bacon, and avocado! You can't go wrong with this one! They did not skimp on the bacon and my boyfriend and I agreed this was our favorite. Tri tip: we got this with bbq sauce. It was underwhelming. It was good but nothing to write home about. Small side of potato salad: also not that amazing standard. The small size was pretty small. I quite enjoyed the sammiches here. They weren't some of those wildly packed sammies that leave you with heart palpitations, but I think they did a pretty swell job and it was enough to sate my hunger for the rest of the day. You can order at the counter or there are two touch pad machines that are really simple to use with fantastic visuals for every item you click. In my opinion, the true test of any sandwich shop is the quality of its bread. Spreadz excels spectacularly in this regard, especially with their Dutch crunch bread, which is rarely perfected anywhere else. Both the sourdough and Dutch crunch were absolutely fantastic - fresh, perfectly textured, and I believe, made in-house. We were greeted warmly when we first arrived. They have a large variety of cold and hot sandwiches. I ordered the Italian sandwich and got a drink. My supervisor ordered a turkey sandwich. The food was ready quite quickly and there is some seating on their patio. The worker brought the food to us outside and was very polite. I enjoyed my Italian sandwich! It was quite fresh. My supervisor said her sandwich was pretty decent but the it also tasted really plain. My guess is that the turkey was not that seasoned or salty. Overall, this place is pretty good. We arrived here @1:45 knowing the shop closed at 2:30. We placed our orders and went to sit outside, noticing the chairs were locked to the table. When we asked if they could unlock them so we could eat, the staff said no, they had already locked up for the day. The sandwiches were good, service was relatively quick, but the customer service left a bad taste. 45 minutes till close and staff wouldn't accommodate a group of 4 wanting to sit outside. You have to drive into the plaza, pass a few buildings, and you will finally see it. I even took a pic to help you find it. It was my first time here and I ordered the #1, the oven turkey sandwich on wheat bread. I came a bit after 1pm and there was no line. The lady at the register was very friendly, and helped me place my order. The food came Pretty quickly and it was good! No complaints. What can I say, it's a deli. He Caesar salad is pretty standard. You can add chicken for price. It was pretty plain Caesar dressing like from a jar and the chicken was decent but not much flavor. Another time I had a roast beef sandwich on French bread with cheese. Actually pretty good but still nothing out of the ordinary. If I can find something really good there that's more than ordinary, I would increase the stars. That's how I differentiate one deli from another. However, it is a very convenient location for workers because it's in a light industrial area. I doubt you'd find this place tantalizing enough to come on a weekend. I have been coming to this place for a couple years now and they have never let me down. The owner Mike is so cool and he remembers a lot of his customers names. You know a place is on point when you see the owner putting in work and taking care of his business. I will come here every so often for breakfast, I usually order the breakfast bagel sandwich with ham, avocado and provolone cheese it's so good and fills me up all morning. For lunch I get the #7 the spicy turkey, I've gotten it everytime coming here and it's never changed on the taste. They use there special spread which makes it even better. The sourdough bread is warm when they serve the sandwiches. Keep a look out on the specials they have because some days they have a bomb ass tri tip sandwich. The lady is always rude and just spent $21 on a damn sandwich, over priced even on the macaroni salad you spend $4 on pretty much a sampler.
