Okay listen! I don't have a lot of expiration in my mind but I will tell you the story friendly as long as my English is enough. I entrusted them my 3 jackets. After three days, two of them were still DIRTY. Okay they took two of them for clean again.(try to clean, I mean it). After another 4 days, they came out still dirty and guess WHAT? A BIG HOLE. Check out the picture and think about before to go to this pleace.. The option is yours. My experience has been disastrous. And also Can you beleive that ? I paid $23 for it. Thanks guys. I got my lesson never come back here.

The only warning label people really respect is dry-clean only. Speed limits, lung cancer, cigarette warnings - your very life is at stake and people just go, "Aah, the hell with it!" ... But dry-clean only? "Don't put that in the wash!!! It's dry-clean only! ARE YOU CRAZY?!" - Jerry Seinfeld Jerry always knew how to make the obvious (and normal) so funny. Dry Cleaners aren't known for being as funny, but it is true that I've learned to heed the warning labels on clothes. Coupons in the mail are the reason my wife and I found Spring Cleaners. The service and the general sense they do an ok job cleaning my clothes keep me going back. Since moving, Spring Cleaners has become my regular dry cleaners and shirt laundry. The convenient location and free parking make it an easy choice on the way to/from work. The usual turnaround time seems to be 2-3 days which is totally fine with me. Thanks to the coupons, the prices are reasonable. Be on the lookout for one before going. It's not going to be SGV cheap prices, but it's still less than many comparable dry cleaners on the Westside.

Oops! No more buckle. It was right there when they picked it up from me?

A Prada blouse was returned to me missing a buckle. I have been trying for weeks to resolve this. A man keeps saying he will come by my office then doesn't come. Today marks the 4th instance of that broken promise.

Instead, they ask that you take the bags you bring the clothes in, back home with you- be prepared to leave with the bags you bring- Attention to detail will be instrumental in the final review of the experience, as this is my first time using their services- Stand bye- May 19

For any neighborhood establishment, I give them the benefit of the doubt three times before giving up on them. I want to see local small businesses do well and I want to support them. Tarpy Tailors - I've given up on you! I've been a customer of Tarpy Tailors for the last 11 years. NO MORE. The past owners have always been humble, welcoming and kind. The new owner (I think your name is Em) is arrogant, conceited, and seems to not want any more business other than the airline jobs that he gets automatically. Prices have gone up astronomically. My First Experience: I wanted to get two suits tailored. I went to Tarpy because I trust Fernando, the main tailor. I walked into the store (no one else was around) and I had to wait 2-3 minutes until the owner finished his personal phone call. After introducing myself, seeing that he was the new owner, I told him that I needed two suits tailored. He immediately told me that it was a two week wait and that he couldn't do it. He explained that he had a big airline order and couldn't work on my suits. I asked if Fernando was still working there, and he was! He came out from the back, took my measurements, and told me that my suits would be ready in a week. My Second Experience: I needed to get a raincoat tailored. I walked in and the owner immediately told me that he didn't have time to work on my coat because he was busy. Again, I was given a 2 week turn around. I again asked for Fernando. I explained that I only needed the sleeves shortened 1". Fernando measured me and I pickedup my coat two days later. To hem a coat sleeve (since stitch, no fancy sewing - $34???!!!!!) My Third Experience: I walked into the shop today to get some pants hemmed. There was a flight attendant before me so I patiently waited for my turn. When it got to be my turn, I held up my pants and asked if he could do a simple hem. His response was, "There is no way that I can get your pants hemmed in one day!". My response was "I'm not asking for a one-day service." His response was, "Well, it will probably take a week / 7 days to hem your pants." At that point, I was just tooo tired to fight to become a customer of his. I turned around and walked out the door without saying anything. He then proceeded to tell me to wait and come back. I continued to walk away. NEVER AGAIN! Fernando - save your professional career and find another place to work. You are a talented tailor. You are too good for the new owners of Tarpy. Please contact me if you ever leave, as I'll follow you. I *rarely* ever claim this EVER - but I think that my skin color isn't welcomed here at Tarpy Tailors. I'm Hawaiian and have dark skin, but it may not be dark enough. Take a look at MANY one-star reviews that this place has gotten since the store was sold. I tried three times. Fourth time would have been shame on me. I agree with the several other reviews who said the new owner is a jerk! Service for Business / Professional Suits: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Service for Casual Clothes: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE Service for Re-Purposing of your favorite clothing: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE Service with a Smile: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FAIR Prices: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE I found another nearby tailor who is welcoming, friendly, and does an amazing job. If you want a referral to my new place, let me know.

Do Not Use This Cleaner. $600 worth of shirts ruined…read more The Owner's response "I see this often..." No refund or monetary compensation. And told it was my own fault... The rest of this post is the rant of someone who is upset. With the quality of the job to be sure, but even more the quality of the customer service. So turn back, and you are spared the details, but you've been warned and your own clothes destruction will be your fault if you don't heed this. Go elsewhere. After a family trip to Hawaii, I got three shirts dry cleaned and they came back stained orange and what looked like burn marks and one shirt ripped to shreds. See pictures. When presented with, hey I just took great family pictures in these three shirts, and they did not look like this. The business owner had this to say.... "The oxidizing I see a lot on the west side." Sir, i've lived here for over 10 years and I have not. I have also dry cleaned my shirts for the same amount of time. To the ripped shirt, even more gaslighting... " we have notes going back to 2024 stating that this shirt has been ripped and has holes." To which I replied, use common sense, why would I be wearing a shirt with my family that has holes and why would I bring that shirt with holes to a dry cleaner? And his response was, "there is a note in the computer." Nobody could've possibly left a note after ripping and staining or burning all of my shirts ... right?! I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Buck Mason, tombolo, rag and bone. I don't own many expensive shirts, but when I do, they all get ruined at once with absolutely no account taken. Rough. I've definitely spent over $600 at this dry cleaner so the only way I can show my disappointment is with my wallet and never returning and living to tell my story to the next person looking for a hometown cleaners they can trust. This is not that place.

Ok this review is long overdue since this happened last year. I was planning on letting this go and…read morenot write a reviews about this, but this morning I saw the sweater again and I got upset all over again so here it is. This place RUINED two of my sweaters by shrinking them. I picked up my dry cleaning, went home to take them out of the bags, and immediately noticed that they were damaged. I went right back to the shop with these two sweaters and asked the worker to fix it. They told me to leave them and come back when the manager is in the store. Which I did. I took stock photos from the respective websites of where I got these sweaters from and showed the manager how they now looked different from what they were supposed to look before I brought them here. I asked them if they were washed by mistake bc I know water would ruin these materials. The manager smelled them, attempting to confirm " yes they smelled like they're dry cleaned" and was bewildered as he said this shouldn't have happened blah blah blah. He then told me to leave them at the shop as they would try to fix by relaxing them, or whatever the heck they're gonna do. A week later I went to pick them up, well, let's just say I didn't have high hopes they'd fix them, and my low expectation was confirmed. As someone who's ruined sweaters in my younger years by being careless with cleaning (and by being cheap too thinking not everything has to be dry cleaned just bc the label says so), i sort of knew these were damaged goods by this point. One of the two sweaters was far beyond repair. The yearn became so stiff that it couldn't be stretched out, even if they tried. It was a turtleneck sweater and it wouldn't even fit through my head anymore. Mind you, I am on the smaller side, but the sweater was a joke after I brought it here for dry cleaning because it became so small it wouldn't even fit a 5 year old. The other sweater was a nice mohair sweater that's slightly slouchy and drapes beautifully over the body. After dry cleaning here, the sweater was shedding, misshaped and also shrunk. They also attempted to fix it by stretching it out. Well, due to the material, it was able to be stretched but the hem line was all messed up, it has this weird curve bottom now instead of a straight hem. And it is no longer slouchy, it's more like a cropped sweater now. I am so pissed off that they didn't even apologize! Nor issued me a refund. Instead, they acted like they're surprised that the damages happened. HELLO! Guess what? I am surprised too! And after their attempt to fix them, they seemed to think they've done a good job. Well. The did not. The turtleneck was immediately donated to textile recycle. I kept the mohair one due to sentimental value. I just saw it again in my closet this morning which prompted this review. If you valued your valued clothes, don't come here. I've never been back since this happened.

I figured I'd call a local tailor to see if they did same day alterations to save me time of trying to find one back in the SF Area. I called a couple tailors late on a Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and most shops were already closed. Luckily for me, Tailoring by Fernando was still open, and in the area I was staying. I gave them a call an a woman answered, she sounded extremely busy but she said if I could get there before 6 pm (it was already 5:15 pm), then she would take a look at the dress and see if she could get it done the same day. We arrived to the shop around 5:50 pm, she looked at the garment and said she could have it hemmed by 7. I put the dress on and she marked it up, I pre-paid the cost via Venmo (cash only place), and I was on my way. She noted she'd text/call me when it was ready. I got a little nervous when I didn't hear from her around 6:50 PM but just around 7:00 she sent me a message that the dress would be ready by 8:00 PM. The work was great and she also steamed the dress for me. I felt the price ($65) was reasonable for the alterations to this evening gown, which was a rush request. I had my dress altered and steamed within a couple of hours! This definitely saved me time, money, and stress!
