Do Not Use This Cleaner. $600 worth of shirts ruined. The Owner's response "I see this often..." No refund or monetary compensation. And told it was my own fault... The rest of this post is the rant of someone who is upset. With the quality of the job to be sure, but even more the quality of the customer service. So turn back, and you are spared the details, but you've been warned and your own clothes destruction will be your fault if you don't heed this. Go elsewhere. After a family trip to Hawaii, I got three shirts dry cleaned and they came back stained orange and what looked like burn marks and one shirt ripped to shreds. See pictures. When presented with, hey I just took great family pictures in these three shirts, and they did not look like this. The business owner had this to say.... "The oxidizing I see a lot on the west side." Sir, i've lived here for over 10 years and I have not. I have also dry cleaned my shirts for the same amount of time. To the ripped shirt, even more gaslighting... " we have notes going back to 2024 stating that this shirt has been ripped and has holes." To which I replied, use common sense, why would I be wearing a shirt with my family that has holes and why would I bring that shirt with holes to a dry cleaner? And his response was, "there is a note in the computer." Nobody could've possibly left a note after ripping and staining or burning all of my shirts ... right?! I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Buck Mason, tombolo, rag and bone. I don't own many expensive shirts, but when I do, they all get ruined at once with absolutely no account taken. Rough. I've definitely spent over $600 at this dry cleaner so the only way I can show my disappointment is with my wallet and never returning and living to tell my story to the next person looking for a hometown cleaners they can trust. Ok this review is long overdue since this happened last year. I was planning on letting this go and not write a reviews about this, but this morning I saw the sweater again and I got upset all over again so here it is. This place RUINED two of my sweaters by shrinking them. I picked up my dry cleaning, went home to take them out of the bags, and immediately noticed that they were damaged. I went right back to the shop with these two sweaters and asked the worker to fix it. They told me to leave them and come back when the manager is in the store. Which I did. I took stock photos from the respective websites of where I got these sweaters from and showed the manager how they now looked different from what they were supposed to look before I brought them here. I asked them if they were washed by mistake bc I know water would ruin these materials. The manager smelled them, attempting to confirm " yes they smelled like they're dry cleaned" and was bewildered as he said this shouldn't have happened blah blah blah. He then told me to leave them at the shop as they would try to fix by relaxing them, or whatever the heck they're gonna do. A week later I went to pick them up, well, let's just say I didn't have high hopes they'd fix them, and my low expectation was confirmed. As someone who's ruined sweaters in my younger years by being careless with cleaning (and by being cheap too thinking not everything has to be dry cleaned just bc the label says so), i sort of knew these were damaged goods by this point. One of the two sweaters was far beyond repair. The yearn became so stiff that it couldn't be stretched out, even if they tried. It was a turtleneck sweater and it wouldn't even fit through my head anymore. Mind you, I am on the smaller side, but the sweater was a joke after I brought it here for dry cleaning because it became so small it wouldn't even fit a 5 year old. The other sweater was a nice mohair sweater that's slightly slouchy and drapes beautifully over the body. After dry cleaning here, the sweater was shedding, misshaped and also shrunk. They also attempted to fix it by stretching it out. Well, due to the material, it was able to be stretched but the hem line was all messed up, it has this weird curve bottom now instead of a straight hem. And it is no longer slouchy, it's more like a cropped sweater now. I am so pissed off that they didn't even apologize! Nor issued me a refund. Instead, they acted like they're surprised that the damages happened. HELLO! Guess what? I am surprised too! And after their attempt to fix them, they seemed to think they've done a good job. Well. The did not. The turtleneck was immediately donated to textile recycle. I kept the mohair one due to sentimental value. I just saw it again in my closet this morning which prompted this review. If you valued your valued clothes, don't come here. I've never been back since this happened. read more

I spoke to the manager to ask for a refund for an alteration that was not done. He told me that he looked at the Tailor's notes and the alteration was done, I told him it was not done. Instead of keeping a customer happy he chose to talk over me and ask me to bring the dress back in for further investigation. No, thank you. La vista Cleaners will receive all of my business. The customer service is outstanding. As a resident of Playa vista I will not use Holloway cleaners ever again. read more

The prices at this dry cleaners are OUTRAGEOUS. $28 to dry clean a velour cocktail dress? $22 for a blazer? I had a simple repair on the spaghetti strap and it was $72 for two items!! I will never go there again, they price gouge and it's awful. read more

Brought in 8 items of highish quality women's sweaters and dresses. Items cost between $20 and $30 each to dry clean. 30 is honestly too high for me to stomach for a regular dress - not formal, but decent quality (theory, etc). Have used a few times but this was the last. read more

STAY AWAY !!!!! Had to go back time and time again for stains on multiple items. They just press the item, bag it up and hope you don't check it before you leave. I ask time and time again BEFORE I give it to them if they can get it out and they say yes but only to get it back with the same stains on it. AND they still charge me for the work. I've been going to this dry cleaners for 2+ years just because of the convenience of the location to my apartment. No matter what day you bring in your items they won't have it ready until the following Thursday. I come weekly for dry cleaning and at least monthly for alterations. I was going on a trip so I asked the staff to expedite my items by 1 day and they were very unhelpful. A staff member Deborah went as far as saying the owner screams at her if she changes pickup time from a Thursday. Some of the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. read more

They have always provided excellent services and done quality work. I was out of town and had yellow highlighter ink leak out all over a pair of expensive (light wash) jeans. I went to a local cleaner and they told me it was not possible to remove that stain. I returned and brought them to Holloway and they completely removed the stain. Overall, outstanding cleaners with friendly service, great quality, and good prices. Parking: very easy with an abundance (usually :)) of street parking by concert park in Playa Vista (FREE!!). Service: impeccable!! Always greeted with a warm welcome and a smile. If any of our clothing has an issue (e.g. tear, loose seam, etc) then we are called immediately to discuss it and whether they should repair and/or just clean or cancel service for that item. Furthermore, I can't remember that number of times that I've forgotten my collar stays in my shirts and they wrap them up for me and inform me when I pick up the items. Poor customer service, slow to have clothes ready, and I travel a lot and I let them know that and yet today I got a message saying your clothes will be donated in 10 days if they're not picked up. !!!This place destroys your clothings and lie to you!!! We recently moved to this area and are trying to find a new dependable dry cleaner. The first 2 times we had our clothes cleaned here were average. However, the third time they destroyed my dress and accused my dress being "cheap" and "not new" and "sent in like this"... which was extremely ridiculous and complete lies. I don't know what they understand as "cheap" is. But if a Desinger dress is cheap, then probably all of the customers clothing are cheap and not worth any care in their eyes. Do NOT ever trust this place with your loved clothing and especially those expensive Desinger clothing. They don't know how to do their job, they do not take care, and when they make mistakes they make lies and blame it on the customers with their extremely rude attitude. On top of the damage,Athe dress was white before it was sent to this horrible place. The staff lied that they contact me before they clean the dress. However, you contacted me after you damaged it and keep making lies. The owner contacted me after my poor mom whose English is second language helped me to pick up from the store. And the owner stated that my mom "do not understand English" excuse me! My mom understands and speaks perfectly but just as a second language she speaks slow. Amin - no thanks. I only pinned it on one side, the tailor was to match it on the other. Even if the pinning was not even on the one side I did it on, your tailor's judgment is still questionable as to why he/she did not match the length on the other side. I took my dress to another tailor, who said your tailor did not leave enough on one side to fix to my original specs and the other side barely had any cloth saved at all, let alone the same amount left as the other. After measuring both sides, your tailor did one side 1/2 shorter than the other. I would have brought it back but for left and right not even being matched up. That completely baffles me, and while I appreciate you trying to rectify this for me, I don't have the time nor the energy to give incompetence a second try. read more

The owner is great and goes above and beyond to make things perfect! I drop off a big pile of my work shirts, ties, slacks and jackets as well as the wife's dresses on a fairly regular basis and they do an outstanding job. If you visit their website you can download coupons and this wonderful site called Yelp offers a discount as well! Example... I dropped off a shirt to be cleaned that had a tear in the cuff and before cleaning it and charging me they called my cell to say that they could not fix it and didn't think it was fair to clean it without asking me if I wanted them to do so first. That's good customer service... I did tell them to clean it because the tear isn't that noticeable and I'm a big cheapo that doesn't want to buy a new shirt but that's not the point!
