The management at the front desk was unbelievably rude. Snapped at me when all I was trying to find out was if they can make the repairs or not. Dont go there they will bait a switch ask for the total before you leave . We will never go lback even though they are in walking distance. I've been coming here for some time and have found that Sparkling offers some promotional days - Tuesdays and Thursdays that are great to use. I've been able to address collar stains and other needs at times for dress shirts, and have collectively been able to decide whether or not they need treatment. This is because deep stain treatments, at times, can shorten the life of a piece of clothing. Overall, I've found this place pretty accessible off Manchester and reasonable. The owner is friendly, and so I'm not sure the other reviewers have been fair to the service this cleaners is providing. I just picked up my dry cleaning from here and it looks wonderful! I had tried this place before with the old owners and was not impressed because they were unable to do a good job with my lab coat, but the new owner, Emad, was so friendly, professional, and welcoming when I came in with my items. I brought my items on Monday, and Emad told me that my items would be ready Friday after 5pm, but guess what! I got a text that they were ready at 10:15am this morning! Emad told me that they found a stain on my boyfriend's tie and tried to get it out without ruining the tie, since the material is sensitive. They did their best, and to be honest, I only saw the stain when I looked very closely at it. He did an excellent job! I am very pleased and I will be bringing all my dry cleaning here from now on! I'm new to the neighborhood and thought I'd give this place a try. I'll never be back. I picked up my clothes from here and immediately put on one of the sweaters that had just been cleaned. As soon as I took it out of the bag, I was overwhelmed by the stench of animal feces. The sweater and all the other clothes I had cleaned at Sparkling Cleaners smelled like feces, right out of the bag on the very day I picked them up. There was also a disgusting stain on the outside of one of the bags. When I brought the clothes back to Sparkling Cleaners and explained my concerns about the clothes, the owner did not apologize and instead suggested that the clothes smelled bad when I brought them in to be cleaned. He had no explanation for the stain on the bag and refused to even smell the clothes to see what I was talking about until I absolutely insisted. He offered to clean the clothes again for free and I at least thought I'd give him a chance to fix the problem. When I came to pick them up again, the owner still did not apologize and even suggested that the clothes smelled bad because they had been sitting in my car for a long time before I returned them to him. The clothes smelled that way as soon as I picked them up the first time, and they were only sitting in my car for one day before I brought them back. His excuses for the awful smell simply don't work. Most of the clothes smell somewhat better but the sweater still smells like animal feces and there is now a sticky spot on it that wasn't even there when I dropped the clothes off the second time. I am beyond disappointed in Sparkling Cleaners and will not be returning. read more

After my previous local dry cleaner lost 5 of my expensive dress shirts in one order, and then tried to replace them with generic dress shirts and pass them off as mine - I needed to find a new cleaner. Thankfully Emad took over Sparkling Cleaners from the previous owner and I have never looked back. I have used Sparkling Cleaners every week for the past few years. I first went to Sparkling Cleaners out of convenience. I live right down the street and needed a few silk tops dry cleaned. The shirts were ready three days later which was fine, no huge rush. I picked up my shirts and they were nicely cleaned and pressed. Last week, I had a few delicate items for dry cleaning. The items included were a lace top, silk shorts, and a silk top with a silk camisole underneath. The silk camisole was attached to the top. This information is pertinent considering the final outcome. Seeing that I had gone once before and they did a good job, I would try them again. When I picked up my dry cleaning, the items looked good. It wasn't until I got home and started putting away my clothes that I noticed the damage. 1 - my silk shorts were pinned to the hanger with SAFETY PINS!! Who puts holes in silk?! I've used other dry cleaners that use small plastic clips, but never safety pins. 2 - the camisole had been detached from the top!! Not only was it detached, it was yanked from the top. The inseams had been ripped and it had caused a hole in the shoulder seam. Whoever handled my clothes was careless. That is the last time I will ever use Sparkling Cleaners. Sad too because they are really conveniently located. read more

2015 UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT... I took my clothes here a couple of years ago and it was run by an older lady whose prices were steep and provided very, let's say interesting, customer service. A few months ago (around February of 2015) Sparkling Cleaners seems to have been sold to a nice young man name Imad. Imad provides excellent customer service. He is friendly, and appreciative of the business I provide. As far as the business of dry cleaning, everything comes back clean, fresh and not smelling of the usual dry cleaner chemicals (which has happened to me before at another place). I had one dress shirt which I thought I had destroyed. It had a major ink stain on the sleeve (about the size of a half dollar - if anyone remembers those coins). Anyhow, Imad was able to remove the stain with no trace whatsoever - to the astonishment of my coworkers who thought the shirt was a goner as well. I am very glad that Imad has taken over this shop and I highly, highly recommend people try his establishment. I would like to see him stay in business here in our neighborhood for a very long time. Like doctors and dentists, it's hard to find a good dry cleaner in this town (especially one who appreciates their customers!). read more

I was in the need of a fast turnaround dry cleaning service. My girlfriend often washes her bedding at Sparkles which is few doors down and we know this little strip mall offered quite a bit of parking and had several stores one of which was a dry cleaning service. Yesterday which was a Friday (04-05-2013) I came in with one item (a shirt) that I needed to have dry cleaned and available for pickup on Monday (04-08-2013). I was told that the earliest they could have my ONE ITEM back was Tuesday (04-09-2013). I am heading to Las Vegas next week and need it now, not later. If you are looking for fast turnaround service Sparkling Cleaners is probably not the place you want to go. I will not be back to this cleaner. read more

I had a good experience here on a recent visit. I was going on a trip, and I needed some pants altered. It was late, and all other places were (A) not open, (B) did not have anyone there to take measurements, or (C) wouldn't guarantee that the pants could be ready in time. But Sparkling Cleaners (though it was closing at the time) took the measurements, made a rush order, and didn't even charge extra. They did a good job on the pants as well. I've come here a few times now and they've been fine. However, when I had my cashmere sweaters dry cleaned recently and 2 out of 3 shrunk. Not sure how they managed to do that but it came back as a cropped sweater! Really disappointed and bummed out. Cashmere sweaters are not cheap and it hasn't had enough usage yet for it to just go to waste. If you are planning on getting your sweaters cleaned be warned. I've lived across the street for 6 years and even though this place is close by I stayed away because of the reviews. But I decided to go as I saw a sign for PROTECTING UGGS. I figured what could go wrong right they would just spray them so they could be protected. I brought in a new pair of black uggs and I only wore them once. It costs $30 to get them cleaned and sprayed. Ridiculous! They are already clean. But I thought maybe it was a special coating to make them better and it would last longer. I could have just purchased the spray myself. It took 1 week for the shoe to be ready. And they do not look the same, they look worse. They used a brush or something on the shoe and there are little fuzzy balls around them. The only reason I'm writing this review is to warn others that not only will you be out of $30, your expensive UGGS will be ruined!! I wish I would have done my homework before I took these in, but too late. :( read more

The only reason i had my daughter take my white dress shirt there, was 2 reasons; I needed it pressed (ONLY) we moved and couldn't find my iron. And, it was convenient. HOWEVER, she just went to pick it up and it was $4.50! just for "pressing " it and the cranky woman said...its a BLOUSE, not a shirt! that's why it's $4.50!!! I called and she was just as cranky and rude to ME! I said, thank you, and we will NEVER take our business here again. her response..."OK Thanks" and hung up on me!
