    August 2024 Prices

Food is good. Lines were not bad. Geese can be a bit aggressive. Tables are clean. Expect to pay $15 to $30 in 2024 for a meal. Add 5% to that each year after.

Half chicken ended up being half cooked chicken:( shame cause it was pretty good!

Waited an hour in line in anticipation for a mouth watering Turkey leg and half chicken, the Turkey leg was ok, meat was a little dry and skin was inedible as it was so plasticky, not to mention absolutely no flavor on the leg, the chicken was actually pretty good as we started with the breast area however once we touched the joints and legs it was apparent that the name of this dish should be "half cooked chicken" the mac and cheese was very good and coleslaw was decent. Next time I'm just getting the ribs and pulled beef sandwich.

I love good bbq, tried the Turkey leg, not a fan,but the ribs were fall off the bone delicious! The price is steep and misleading. You see the pictures of the meats for $9.98 and up. They ask you of you would like a side, but forget to say its $3 more. With three meals two drinks the bill came to $50. When you visit a park, you except prices to be high,it is just a common trend.

If you like Smoked Meats this is a great choice for a decent meal at the park. They have their menu set up as combos but you can order the items ala carte. You have a choice of pulled pork, pulled chicken, beef brisket, ribs, or a turkey leg. You can get them as a meat platter or a sandwich (haha except for the turkey leg and ribs don't know how they would work on bread) They also have a new menu item that I believe may be a "special" so I am not sure how long it will last, but its a cornbread waffle with pulled pork, coleslaw, cheese, and sauce. My husband said it was very good and I enjoyed the fact that they make the waffles to order so they taste fresh and hot. The sides available are a rotating vegetable (most recent was green beans that were very butter and salty but somehow delish lol), baked beans, corn bread, coleslaw, potatoes (also buttery and salty), and corn bread muffins (a little on the dry side but taste yummy and good with apple butter). For dessert they have these cobblers and apple or a smores. I have only tried the smores and it was pretty rich a tasty definitely something to be shared. I also like the fact that they have unsweet tea which is a nice option to have instead of the normal soda you find anywhere else. The staff is friendly smoking the meat and l like to see their prep process. For an amusement park dining option, its pretty legit.

The ribs were horrible. Chicken looked like it would have been a better choice. Again the ribs were horrible.

First time At the Smokehouse BBQ & Brew…read more We had the corn bread and burnt tips for appetizers hubby had the pulled pork and chicken and I had the SCHNITZEL AND SPAETZLE for dinner. The Burnt ends appetizer was the best I have ever had. The meat was super tender and the white horseradish was so good on it we bought 12oz to take home. Honestly that could have been my dinner it was that good. The pulled pork was good it passed my husband's test since he's from NC and still looking for one like home. The spaetzle was amazing, and as good as my mother in law made. Well better. And she's German. Such a great find. It will be on our list every-time we come back to Lancaster.

The fried chicken was good and well cooked, but the batter needed seasoning. I would certainly go back to Smokehouse. I loved the warm atmosphere and friendly service. The platter was overall good. My recommendations would be to rotate/mix the pulled pork so it doesn't catch so much heat on the top layer, and pre season the chicken fry batter. Slightly salted/peppered taste would give the fried chicken a nice boost without the customer having to cover it with the shakers.

My husband and I looked for the best BBQ places in the area and landed on The BBQ Barn. A small and cute little barn sits in the corner of the plaza (on the right of Target). We ordered chicken and rib dinners with an extra pulled pork sandwich (we ordered way too much but needed to try it all!!). Dinner plates come with Cole slaw, a dinner roll, potatoes, and a whoopie pie. There is seating outside. We both agreed that the chicken may have been the best we have ever had. It was seasoned so well and perfectly cooked. The ribs came with bbq sauce on the side. There was a line, but service was quick and efficient. The grills are right in front and you can see the cooking happening! Inside the barn, I could see them rolling out fresh pretzels. They also had homemade root beer, which was very good! After we finished eating, I couldn't help but grab a vanilla ice cream cone to share with my dogs. They agree too, best soft serve ice cream we have ever had. Since getting home, we have already talked about how we need to plan a trip back to Lancaster to get more BBQ and explore the area a bit longer.

Drive to the Target just west of the American Music Theatre and head to the far east side of the Target, driving back around the side of the building and the restaurant will be on your right. Watch for small signs directing you to the BBQ Barn. Review: Very good pulled pork sandwiches with lots of meat for a very reasonable price. Full meal is a great deal that includes three small grilled red potatoes, a small coleslaw, roll, whoopie pie, and drink for $12.50-$14.00 depending on your meat and beverage choice. They sell "homemade" root beer that I tried and it was good and tasted like the original drove in A&W root beer except it lacked carbonation. We had a sandwich plus one full meal for about $20 and left a small tip. Note that this is a casual place with outdoor seating only, similar to a food truck. Thankfully the picnic table seating is mostly in the shade. I do recommend this place for a quick lunch or dinner and noticed local Amish eating there while we had lunch. today.

Didn't ruin the experience, but just know in case you are sensitive to noise. Ask to sit in other areas. Very friendly employees! From the moment you step in. Hostess was nice and our server was terrific (shout out to Riley). She kept checking in on us and made sure that we had all that we needed. We ordered a margarita and I wouldn't recommend this at all. It tasted like lemonade and a some tequila. They also put sugar on the rim. It was subpar to say the least. It was nothing as described on the menu (fresh squeezed lime juice). We ordered the fried pickles for an app and I highly recommend them. The sauce that is served with them is great! For entrees, we ordered the Bone & Butt (ribs w/pulled pork) with a side of baked beans and a burnt ends meal with sweet potato fries. The ribs and pulled pork were absolutely great! Even the burnt ends were good too. However, I do like super wet sauces and they do come drenched in BBQ sauce. That was a me problem as I should have asked and I forgot. I should have ordered them plain. The corn bread was okay. We asked for butter for that. The fries were fabulous. The baked beans equally as good. There are two different sauces on the table for you to put all over the things. You can tell that they are making these things in house and take great care to make sure that they are good quality. The portions are terrific and the prices super reasonable. They have an extensive dessert menu. We didn't order as couldn't fit anything else. We even had to take to go boxes. This is located near Great Wolf Lodge! If you are staying there, this is super close and worth the drive. It's also not far off of 95 so if you are in the area swing by - worth the drive off of 95 (not far at all). Would for sure come again! Very tasty.

This place started showing up in my social media feeds constantly. All day. Every day. Smoked meat?…read moreI'm listening. Smoked meat and homemade peanut butter pie? In the same building?! Immediate must-try status. I hatched a plan to visit on a chilly January Friday night, knowing they'd recently been selling out of items before their posted 7pm closing time. The target: 5:30pm. Risky enough to feel exciting, early enough to still secure smoked meat. A calculated move. Get Smok'd is located in a strip mall, and when I arrived, most of the front parking spots were full. Brief "oh no" moment...then I snagged a spot from someone pulling out and hustled inside. The dining room was much more spacious than it looked from outside, though many tables were already filled. I stepped up to the counter fully prepared--having studied both the menu and their social media all week in belly-growling anticipation. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with street corn and a fountain soda. Adventure Buddy went with the Lamb Gyro special, coleslaw, and a soda. Total for dinner came in around $40, which felt very reasonable for the amount of food. We timed it perfectly. About 10 minutes after we arrived, a large party of ~20 people walked in and filled a reserved table. More folks followed right behind them and suddenly the place was packed, buzzing, and running low on seats. Lamb Gyro: Fantastic. The smoke really came through on the lamb, and the tzatziki was super cucumber-forward, which Adventure Buddy loved. It was also a generous portion for the price--always appreciated. Street Corn: First off, the presentation was on point. The husk flared out like a little sunburst--very eye-catching. The cook on the corn was perfect, seasoning was just right, and the ear itself was a great size. Goldilocks corn. Coleslaw: This one missed the mark for us. The cabbage itself was fine, but the dressing was very bland and there was a lot of it--bordering on cold coleslaw soup territory. Not our thing, though it might work for some. Pulled Pork Sandwich: The pulled pork? Fabulous. Moist, juicy, perfectly smoky. I paired it with the Lawd That's Good traditional sweet sauce and ate every last bite of the meat. The roll, however, didn't live up to the pork--it felt like an odd mismatch. I skipped the bread and focused on the star of the show. Peanut Butter Pie: I...was not prepared. I did not expect a smoked meat joint to casually deliver one of the best peanut butter desserts I've had in a long time. This isn't a slice--this is a personal peanut butter pie. I'd guess 5-6 inches wide, about 1.5 inches thick, served in its own tin and piled high with whipped cream. This wasn't dessert--this was an entire second meal. At $10, it was worth every single penny, and I seriously debated ordering another. I will absolutely be back just for this pie. Overall, Get Smok'd BBQ earns a solid 5 stars from both me and Adventure Buddy. Friendly staff who checked in, meat smoked to perfection, and a peanut butter pie that completely stole the show. Good lawd! PRO TIP: If you're planning to visit later in the day, check Get Smok'd on social media first. They sell out. Early. Often. Don't waste a trip just to find locked doors and shattered BBQ dreams. This place is hot right now--and very much worth the visit if there's still smoked meat left to be had!

I had the double Patty smash burger with bacon and it was one of the best burgers I have had. There was also some homemade pickle Chips that were delicious. We split a PB pie. I didn't mind the price of the burger but the sides were too expensive for me to add. I just wanted something more with that burger. If that burger had Chips would be 5 stars. Highly recommend this place. I look forward to eating there again.
