We visited Smoked on 4/25/25. We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by a smiling Kaleigh. I had a delicious cocktail and my husband had an ice cold draft beer. It was late afternoon and we were meeting family later for dinner at Hershey Park. We ordered smoked chicken nachos. The chicken was so full of flavor. The cheese sauce was creamy and even now I'm still craving it. The chips were thin, crispy and fresh! We were wishing we were coming back for dinner because this appetizer just made us want more! Our next time back at Hershey we will definitely be making Smoked a dinner destination. Thank you for making our 5 1/2 hour trip worth the drive!!! WE WILL BE BACK! read more

This Angus Prime Beef Burger with smoked cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, caramelized onions, and bacon, served with smoked special sauce, is oh-so-good! This is a good 4 star BBQ place. The two times I've been I've really enjoyed it. The service was great both times. And the food is really good. Both times we've started with the wings. The last time I went the waiter said the wings are the best thing on the menu. And they probably are. They are REALLY good. We got Buffalo and a sweet and spicy dry rub. Both excellent. The main course for me recently was just meat. Brisket and ribs. Both were fine. They were cold. I was full from ribs and endless root beer that I barely touched it. I heated it up later via toaster oven and both were excellent. So good location, good food, good service. My wife really enjoyed the Cuban special. read more

Four stars for now because the Brisket Tacos meat portion was tiny and my Smoked Brisket Sandwich was nowhere near as good as the Brisket Mac N Cheese we had last visit. That was amazing, the sandwich not so much. Pulled chicken burrito was also very good, just not amazing. Both visits, service was slow. It was busier this past Thursday than it was several Sundays ago, so I understand a little waiting, but it was a long wait both times. Servers were very nice. Nice modern restaurant with a separate bar area with great happy hour specials daily 4-6 PM. Get there early for a seat at the bar! Stopped in with my daughter while staying in the area. There weren't many cars in the parking lot, so I was a little hesitant. We were pleasantly surprised by the food. On a Sunday afternoon, we decided to check out Smoked for the first time. The layout includes a bar and a bi-level dining room area, with a good number of tables and booths for seating and TVs tuned to sports on the walls. The place was pretty empty, so we were seated and served quickly. Our service was good throughout our visit; our server was attentive and responsive. We started with drinks and an app. The s'mores cocktail came out smoked with a marshmallow. It was a novelty and fun to try, but probably not something to order again. The magnolia cooler non-alcoholic drink was fun--sparkling iced tea with raspberry and mango--but it was overly sweet to my taste. The Carolina nachos were the star of our meal. The pork was very flavorful, there was plenty of gooey cheese sauce, and the nachos were stacked well. The only problem with this dish is that the fresh-made tortilla chips, which tasted very good, were too thin to hold up to the weight of the meat and cheese. For our entrees, we got the SBG Burger and the half cheesesteak and fries lunch special. The burger was nothing memorable--just a burger. But they didn't overcook it and served an actual medium, which doesn't always happen with a burger! The cheesesteak, which used the same cheese sauce as the nachos, was similar. We go to Smoked about once a year when my daughter gets a craving for their nachos. Sunday night was very quiet, the restaurant was considerably less than half full. Smoked has a decent beer on-tap list, and we had a nice Lost Trails IPA. The nachos and Caesar salad were good, my chili was just okay. I was hungering for a burger, and got the house burger, but it was really greasy. My wife said her pulled brisket sandwich was okay, but the cheese was "gloppy". Service was excellent. read more

Very hard to write this as the service was in fact great and our waitress was amazing. Unfortunately the food was such a disappointment and really the only thing that was good were the wings. The salmon was extremely dry and had no flavor even with the bbq sauce on top. The sides I got which were Brussel sprouts, had not a lick of salt and were almost undercooked. The baked beans were just ok and the nachos were good but the chicken on top was chewy and once attacking the top the bottom which was most the tray had nothing but dry chips. The cornbread was cold and dry and the Mac and cheese had no cheese it was just noodles with a little water based cheese sauce I think at the bottom of the bowl. Stopped in for dinner with Hubs last night as we were staying in the area for work. Cute little place, well lit, offstreet parking. They did have a few specials, but they were only available if you were sitting at the bar. A lot of items to choose from, pretty reasonably priced for a barbecue place. The portions were extremely large. We both got two meals out of our dinner. I had the brisket meal with the brussels sprouts and red skin potato salad. Each dinner came with a side of cornbread. I know cornbread is a personal thing, I didn't particularly care for the cornbread, it was more of a sweet cake to me, but my husband seemed to like it fine. The cornbread does come with cinnamon butter to spread on it, but I didn't use that. My meal the brisket was very tender. I would say it was somewhere between moist and dry. Had a good flavor. The sides were enormous. The brussels sprouts were good they could've been char a little more for my liking, but they were still tasty, and the Redskin potato salad was very delicious, not too many onions just amount of crunch little bit of dill really fresh flavor. I really enjoyed it. I didn't take a picture, but I also had a cup of the tomato bisque, which was really delicious as well. My husband enjoyed his meal three meat combo. The ribs looked pretty good. They weren't fall off the bone but that was OK. He doesn't like that he felt they were too greasy. They looked pretty good to me, he didn't think he got enough pulled pork though lol. He would've enjoyed more of that and a sausage was quite delicious. He enjoyed the mashed potatoes and gravy and the red potato salad. My husband had a beer. I had a diet soda and all told our bill was a little over $70 which I didn't think was too bad considering we each got two meals out of one dinner. They have a lot of different menu choices, there is something for everybody. We will probably go back when we're in town. I will say the foodtook a little bit of time to come out, but you could tell the sides, refresh prepared, like the brussels sprouts weren't sitting around in the back, wilting their life away. Here for a lunch during a work conference. They were very accommodating with our larger group. Our server was excellent and was very good about separating checks for everyone. I ordered the brisket cheesesteak. It was ok...definitely nothing that wowed me though. However, the food came quickly. Everybody in my group seemed content with their meals as well. Restaurant was not very busy...which kind of surprised me for a lunch time, especially being so close to the convention center and everything else in Hershey. It was already crowded at 5pm on a Saturday which is a great sign. There's a vibrant atomsphere when you walk in. I immediately noticed and liked the music that was playing. Our server Thomas was everything you would want in a server. He was friendly, funny and attentive. My husband started with the dry rub wings. He was impressed with the flavor and texture. We were both impressed by the big cup of bleu cheese dressing they serve. Smoked understands that people like to actually dip their wings not dab them in a tiny plastic cup of bleu cheese. My husband had the brisket platter with fries and mac and cheese. The brisket was fall apart tender. Great bark and nice smoke flavor. He loved that the mac and cheese was not baked so it had a velvety texture. I had the pick 3 combo. Humongous portion! Brisket, ribs and pulled chicken with sweet potato fries and collard greens. Again, the brisket was fantastic. The ribs were falling off the bone and the pulled chicken was juicy. They have several BBQ sauces on the table. While the brisket and ribs needed no extra sauce, I loved the Troegenator sauce on the pulled chicken. It had a great, vinegary tang. Great meal and overall great experience at Smoked. Really solid BBQ in central PA. The ribs were the star of the show, but the pulled pork and baked beans (the best I've ever had) were also huge stand outs. For $45 I think this meal was well worth it. My only complaint would be the brisket isn't very tender. Pretty fatty and kind of tough. We were in town for a concert at the Hershey Stadium and were hungry after our drive from Syracuse, NY so I used my Yelp app to find food near our hotel and found the reviews helpful so we reviewed the menu and decided on the Texas Dip with chopped prime brisket, crispy onions, horseradish aioli on a Philly roll and au jus. We substituted the house smoked cheddar for the American listed as American would not do the sandwich justice. One of us skipped the horseradish aioli. The soft flavorful roll was layered with the cheese, plenty of brisket, the horseradish aioli was just enough horseradish to let the flavorful brisket shine through and crispy onions on top which neither of us could finish in one sitting. At $16.50 this also came with a side and we went with Brussel sprouts tender char grilled perfectly seasoned morsels. We picked the food up and staff very attentive and friendly. I recently visited this place while in town for business. Came here for dinner sat at the bar and had a great experience. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. I started with the smoked wings with a sweet and spicy dry rub. The wings were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside And the dry rub was excellent, only issue was they ran out of blue cheese. I then had the brisket sandwich, which was excellent, not very fatty and a good portion of meat. The barbecue sauce is on the side were excellent. I would 100% come back next time. Came here on a quiet Monday evening. We've been wanting to visit for some time. Left feeling "meh", and it's hard to tell whether that was because of the food, or the restaurant's lack of energy. My wife had the chili and the brisket tacos with a side of fries. She enjoyed both, and is looking forward to coming back some day. My experience was different. I ordered the bbq salmon which, for future reference, I would not recommend. Our plates were brought to the table in an unusually short time, and the salmon was only warm, which gave me the impression that it had been sitting under a warming light. Reinforcing that impression were my sweet potato fries, which were soggy as all get out like something that was fried then placed under a warming lamp for 30 minutes. The thick, even layer of bbq sauce on top of the salmon made it look almost like paint. It was too perfect looking to be something made at that moment by an actual person. My wife says it's my own fault, that you shouldn't order something bougie like salmon at a bbq restaurant. When I asked to confirm, staff had no idea and "didn't want to open my food to see" but guessed that I did since "It normally comes with blue cheese." Blue cheese was there, but I discovered when I got home that it was one wing short of a dozen. Wings were a tad scrawny and kind of overcooked. Only 3 small celery stalks. They also never asked what sauces I wanted. I took the initiative and asked for bourbon and Alabama white. When I got home, I discovered that I had no bourbon sauce. Brisket was dry and overcooked (no color at all, straight well-done) Beans were kinda good but unnecessarily spicy.
