So Patty was really nice, helpful and on her own serving this evening. We had our family there for dinner. The cook Carlos was nothing but rude to her, he messed up on my omelette and put jalapeños on it. He then refused to remake it, refused to get us our extra order of sausage after she asked repeatedly. The people across from use had requested sausage in his omelette and didn't get it. I'm not sure that we will go back with a cook like that, he is bad for business and poor Patty didn't deserve to be treated like she was. I know she was embarrassed and was trying hard to help everyone. There were several other parties there eating at the time as he was refusing to correct his mistakes. Ordered via DoorDash. See that "no tomatoes" on the receipt? Yeah. I ordered it that way because my husband is ALLERGIC TO TOMATOES. Guess what got tossed in to contaminate his food anyway? Rueben was mushy. Mozzarella sticks were hard and cold. Fries were stale. And the "monte cristo"? It had MAYO on it. Mayo is disgusting. If I had known this sad little imitation of a proper monte cristo would have nothing in common with it but turkey and ham? I would NOT have ordered. A monte cristo is battered and deep fried and served with raspberry jam and possibly some powdered sugar. It shouldn't be served on an eggy pseudo French toast with MAYO. This wasn't a monte cristo. Not really. I feel like after paying $60 (not including tip or delivery fee), the food quality should have been higher and the drinks bigger than 12 oz and almost all ice. I will absolitely never eat food from here again and will he telling everyone I know not to do so. read more

The fact that patrons where allowed to use racist comments was offensive and when speaking to the owner quote"it is a free country" this is suppose to be a family friendly establishment the language was not kid friendly I would not recommend bringing young kids in here if you do not want them to repeat what they are exposed to. read more

Stopped at 730. The door says they close at 9. We get seated and ask for coffee, and the waitress says it's to late for coffee, and we close at 8. I say the door says 9. She says we'll I close at 8. But the door says 9. Well, I close at 8. They haven't changed it yet. She was extremely rude. We go here for breakfast a lot and know the waitresses in the morning. They are great. Ordered breakfast for my wife and daughter via DoorDash at 1030am. Received confirmation the order was received and was being made. At 11am received a notification that my order was being canceled. No reason given. My $40 charge will be refunded in a week or so.. I contacted DoorDash to get more info. They advised me that City Cafe canceled my order because they "ran out of the items I ordered." How does a cafe run out of chicken fingers or chicken fried chicken and eggs!?! Why did they not contact me to give me an alternative!? I'm very disappointed at the lack of customer service, lack of communication and the failure of both City Cafe and DoorDash to attempt to rectify this issue before outright canceling my order. Now I have to find another place to order food for my family, wait for that to be delivered and be out $40 until the refund gets placed back into my account!! I drive for grubhub, and the past 2 times I have received orders from this establishment have been the worst experiences I've ever had since starting 2 years ago. Today took the cake as to why you can NEVER pay me enough to go back to that awful place. Service I was cussed at by an employee for simply asking where the orders were because I had been waiting almost 30 minutes while other orders were flying out like hotcakes. They also kept asking me what the order was or what it had in it. Isn't that your job? Attitude again. I was cussed at. Management HUGE called the restaurant to talk to a manager and was refused. A server took my number and said the owner would call me, guess what? Yeah no phone call. Lost a $30 order because of absolute disrespect from ONE SERVER!! They told me they were busy, I saw maybe 5 tables with customers. If lying, cursing, and ignorance were what I was reviewing, you'd have 5 stars. Do better. read more

Returned to my wife and I's favorite breakfast spot. It had been several months due to COVID. Our last visit was when this was a Ziggy's. Our favorite was the Breakfast Sample plate #1, two eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, ham, and choice of toast, pancakes or biscuits and gravy. To our delight, City Cafe has the same sample plate, although the price has increased, it still feels like a good value. You need to make sure if you like crisp bacon and or hash browns to tell the server. Coffee is hot and delisous and the servers make sure your cup is never empty. I would recommend this restaurant if you want a no frills breakfast, somewhat inexpensive breakfast. Looking forward to returning. read more

Prices have increased 20% and meal quality and quantity have significantly decreased. While restaurants are facing challenging times and one can understand price increases, quality and quantity should not suffer. The lunch hour crowd is non existent compared to pre-covid crowds. When you order a steak nacho fajita, for $13.00 and receive 1/2 the veggies of a dinner salad and little chunks of some meat sparsely spread throughout the greenery, is totally dissatisfactory. While the wait people are nice, they cannot explain the poor quality of the food and presentation. The management does not respond to customer complaints or suggestions. This used to be our 'Go To" restaurant and now will become a past memory. read more

I have been here twice. The positives I have experienced are the fried zucchini was good the first visit and the servers have been pleasant on both visits. Also the bathroom was clean. On the second visit all I can say in a positive light is that our server was nice girl who was placed in an uncomfortable predicament after having to deliver myself and my friend cold, visually unappealing, old probably freezer burned and mostly inedible food. We ordered 4 appetizers and drinks. We waited approximately 20 minutes for our food. Our drinks were never refilled. The table was very sticky and the ketchup bottle was empty and the mustard was nearly empty. Every item in our order arrived cold. Chicken wings were horrendous and only 2 of them in the order appeared within a normal range in size and freshness. The rest were literally of a disturbingly tiny bird which if truly from a chicken it must have been a fuzzy yellow chick...otherwise there is no way these wings were from an actual chicken. Inedible- dried out, thick, dry, rubbery skin, a sliver of meat underneath that was an unpleasant brown color and also dry. Gross and disturbing just to look at. The mozzarella sticks were of uneven and odd sizes and two different colors. Three of them were void of all cheese. The breading was very thick and those that had cheese were mushy inside and not of the texture of any mozzarella I have ever seen. Cold yet wet and mushy inside. No stringy pull you would expect- just white mush inside of a thick, tasteless breaded shell. Two of the empty ones were actually grey in color. No marinara was offered with the mozzarella sticks. The onion rings were also thickly breaded but if they were not cold we felt they would have had potential. The fried zucchini was the only halfway edible item we received, but unfortunately they were completely cold like everything else. We told our server about the mozzarella sticks (as at that point that was the only item we had tried at that point ) when she came to ask us about the food she apologized and quickly disappeared. She did not return to check on us or refill our drinks. When she came back to give us our bill we showed her our food, offered for her to taste it (she looked disgusted and refused- we could not blame her for that reaction. She agreed that the chicken wings looked pitiful). We asked to speak with the manager at that time stating we were very unhappy with the food. She returned five minutes later starting the manager had left and the best she could do was give us 20% off our bill. We advised that was unacceptable and asked her to call the manager on the phone as we were willing to pay for the zucchini and the onion rings and drinks but not the wings or mozzarella sticks. She left and returned with a bill omitting the items we refused to pay for. We did not eat those items other than each of us tasting them and picking through them to see what In The hell was on the plate. We will never return after this experience. I suggest you avoid City Cafe at all costs. That place needs a major change on what they deem acceptable to serve to their customers or to give up and just close. The food looks better in the photos than they did in person. Just sad. At least my friend and I had a good laugh over the experience. read more

Took 4 adults, 3 teens, & 5 kids on a Friday night...were seated right away. Theresa, our waitress, was kind, patient, and quick with drinks & silverware (pre-sanitized & packaged). There was another large group and she served both of us flawlessly!! We chose a variety of "breakfast for dinner" the food was delicious and Theresa kept our drinks full and checked back multiple times. Great experience! Will definitely be back! read more

Woke up hungover and starving, wanted coffee but couldn't leave to go get it. Saw the menu and decided to also order a veggie omelette, with sides of hash browns and toast. They sent more than enough creamer and sugar for the still hot coffee, and the omelette and hash browns were huge portions. Even sent a couple jellies for the toast and to be honest even tho the grub hub delivery fees were kind of high, deffo worth it and I'm glad I chose this place and will eat again in the future. read more

This is STILL ZIGGIES. THEY ONLY CHANGED THEIR NAME. BEWARE!!! This place is horrible. The waitress took my order down wrong, I took what I got not the 3 short stack I ordered. When I went to get my silverware out of the little paper bag, the knife was filthy. The waitress did get me a clean one. I ordered a glass of milk for when my food was ready and it didn't come with my food. My husband and I tracked her down and finally got my 16oz. Glass of milk that was supposed to be $2.09 and on our ticket we were charged $3.09. Had the waitress fix that and looked at the ticket again. My side of bacon was burned to a crisp and across the top of the ticket explained it all: it stated: Ziggies. This is NOT a New Restaurant. Ziggies just changed the name because of all the bad reviews. We were really hoping for a family style place in our neighborhood. NOT A ZIGGIES WITH A NAME CHANGE. It takes more than that to get good food, good service, orders right, cleanliness and ALL the problems you can't fix by simply changing your businesses name. Shame on you Ziggies.
