    Main waterline broke

Water was off due to main waterline break. Room was dirty. Poor amenities and unfriendly staff all around. Would not recommend for business or personal travel

I get to sit in the hall waiting for housekeeping

My first impression of seeing the property, it's going to be a nice hotel. I arrived and it looked nice on the outside. I go in an the front desk staff was just horrible. No one smiled. They spoke and acted like zombies. They were not helpful or friendly in any way. They were rude. The room was ok except they left feather pillows on my bed when I informed them that I had severe allergies. They sent housekeeping up and she would not look or speak to me. She made grunting noises, which was weird. My remote had no batteries. They did send a maintenance guy up and he was the sweetest and only nice person on property. I called reservations and they made me another reservation since the lady up front was not help (I did not know they area and did not want to have to move locations) and they told me it would be honored but when I went to the front desk, the manager was as cold as before and the person the day before and she cancelled my reservation. To make things worse, they took my rewards off the room so I got no points. I have no idea what was wrong with those people but I am glad I had to leave. I booked at a nice hotel down the street. I was much happier. . It is getting three stars because it's clean and nice. The pictures are mainly pros but there are some cons.... big important ones... I will never be back.

Kitchenette had a microwave, coffee machine, mini fridge, storage and a two person plate/utensil set sealed in plastic.

I travel frequently and have stayed at many Springhill Suites locations and I have to say, so far, this is a great one for business travel. It is the small things that truly make it for me. The light with the dimmer over the bed, two side lamps with outlets for easy charging, a solid partial dividing wall, the cabinets for the microwave and fridge, the added ledge on the sink area, and the closest and dresser. Downstairs they have a full buffet for breakfast which included scrambled eggs with southwest potatoes and tortillas (can we say breakfast burrito?? Pastries, yogurts, granola, waffles, juices, coffee, and I'm sure much more. The staff was welcoming and the facility clean. The signage was not illuminated outside so finding the place might have been a tad difficult had it not been for the gps navigation in the car. Upon check in I asked if mobile keys worked at this location and I was assured by two people it did. It did not work on my room (318) and when I went back to the front desk they said they fixed it but gave me a physical key just in case (I left other keys in the room as mobile key should have worked). The mobile key still did not work. The parking lot is on the smaller side and the back door that leads to parking is not near the elevators at all. I will stay here again and hope the mobile keys will be up and running by then.

    Bed Bug

NEVER AGAIN, BED BUGS!! Two night stay on Father's Day Weekend, Friday, July 14th - Sunday, July 16, 2019. Check-in was fast and the front desk attendant was courteous. Upon arrival the room appeared clean. I had no issues Friday or Saturday. Sunday I woke up to marks on my chest. Which appeared to be bites from an insect. My husband thought it was an allergic reaction to something, but I thought otherwise. We went down to have breakfast which is decent, I've had way better continental breakfast at other hotels. Back in our room which was 208, I felt in my gut that the marks were not from a allergic reaction and proceeded to inspect the sheets and found BED BUGS! We checked out immediately and left all of our beach towels. Refused to take those homes. I spoke with the front desk attendant and she apologized and gave me credit for 1 day. Thank God my two babies had no bites but I will never stay at this location ever again! Beware of the bed bugs!

Well appointed. The facility is getting a bit old but the rooms were large and overall very nice. Free breakfast.

When dinosaurs roamed these swamps? Are we going to see an alligator on this drive? Is that sand all under the wheels? Was this whole area under water at some point? Is the water going to flood back in sometime next week? Who lives out here? WHAT WAS THAT SOUND?! After the ride out there - way way out there - you enter, well, a cool world. NGALA is family-run and mom, dad, son, and daughter are all involved. They take in animals who were in the not-so-fortunate circumstances and bring them to this wildlife reserve. The enclosures the animals are kept in are not tiny like others I've seen - they have a large area behind the viewing area that they are able to roam free. NGALA is a different experience for visitors in that you can get super close to the animals versus just looking at them from afar. I touched a white rhino and alligator and fed a camel and a giraffe! So awesome. There's also other entertainment like African drum playing, contortionist, fire eating/playing, man on stilts, and a cool singer guy during dinner. Dinner is served under an elegant tent outdoors and the food is actually quite delicious - cheers to the chef. The salad was pretty basic, but the chicken and fish entree and both the chocolate and apple crumb desserts were amazing. I had a great experience here - one I'll definitely remember. These guys know exactly what they're doing here and I did not once feel sorry for any animals, which I can't say about some other places I'd been to in Naples.

My checklist was straightforward: safety, location, excellent reputation, well-maintained environment, quality amenities and social activities, two bedrooms, two baths, perfect bone structure, and an interior with a blank slate. White walls, white tile, no furniture, and a kitchen circa 1992 ( as an artist, I already envisioned the potential to make it's interior unique and add my personal touch)! I looked at one place first. No! Next. The Vineyards Country Club. I immediately knew after my first walk that this was my "diamond in the rough." The condo faces a gorgeous golf course (1 of 2 classes). Standing in my large lanai and family room, I overlook this course with irregular topography. Florida is flat. Not from my view! This course has an undulating surface that is stunning! The system is expertly groomed and maintained on a daily schedule. I am a Marriott girl by heart and it's always my first choice of hotel no matter where I'm going. Marriott has a certain standard and it's that standard that keeps me coming back. BUT THIS AIN'T IT!!! As soon as we walked into our room, the funky smell smacked me in the nose like a brick. Ugh!!! But I was thinking, the whole team is staying here, it's just the weekend, my daughter will want to be with her compadre's, I can stick it out! So then I ate my salad and began to try to get comfortable. I saw something crawling near the microwave so I grabbed a tissue and picked it up to inspect it. Baby roach!!!!! Not a good sign because where there are babies...there must be a big mama! So I started looking around and didn't see anything. But then my husband is lying on the bed and looks on the sheet, ANOTHER ROACH!!! He grabs it with a tissue and flushes it. Then he spots another one on the ceiling above the bed! Omg!!!!!! Then a few seconds later we spot another one on the bed my daughter was lying on! We start grabbing our things in preparation to go find another hotel. As we are packing, we spotted another one above the door and then yet another one near the bathroom door! I walked across the way to the Springhill and thank goodness they had a room. Let me add this...the woman at the front desk at the Fairfield was AMAZING. She had a very warm, smiling and welcoming face. She was also very accommodating and so by no means am I bashing the service. If I could give her 5 stars, I would. She's not in charge of extermination and I will not hold her at fault. This hotel is obviously quite old and in need of MAJOR RENOVATIONS. The roaches are in the walls and that room clearly had an infestation. I truly did not expect to see roaches as I don't think I have ever seen a roach in my Marriott hotel room before. Maybe ants...but not roaches. I hate giving 1 star because the front desk staff was great but unfortunately my review is for the room and that room was smelly and infested with roaches.
