Update: I had a very pleasant conversation with the general manager Al, who was apologetic for the rudeness of his staff and assured me that said staff member would receive the necessary coaching he clearly needs. Al was very courteous and rectified the situation promptly. The service received from Al is what I expect from a Marriott property and I have updated my review from 1 star to 3 stars to reflect this.

Excellent value, location, service and facilities. Free continental breakfast. Located right in the Ohio State University community. Minutes drive from airport. Shopping mall close by. My first time staying at a Springhill and loved it. It's a mini suite. Separate walk in shower from toilet. A big sofa and very comfortable working desk. Plenty of ligh fixtures. If I get picky I'd ask for bigger TV and better power outlet distribution. But as I said, extremely pleased with my stay.the whole team was friendly and professional. Nice gym and indoor pool

I was looking for a quick weekend trip to Columbus and wanted something in the area of Olentangy Road where I had stayed before since I love the area so much. I booked through Hotels.com and was excited for my trip. Walking in, the lobby area's clean and well kept. Plenty of sitting room with tables and chairs for you to use and enjoy. The desk staff here was very professional at all times and really took good care of me. during my stay. Check in was easy and quick and after I got to my room I called down to the desk to request extra cups for my stay along with coffee pods since I need more then one cup in the morning. The room itself was spacious and wonderful. Separate couch area with a pull out bed, a TV that swivels to watch either in bed or on the couch, and plenty of lighting. The bathroom is divided into two separate areas with super cool sliding wood and glass doors. The toilet has it's own area with a sink, and the shower has it's own separate area as well with a sink as well. Bed was large and comfy with plenty of pillows and extra blankets in a closet area off to the side. A few things I noticed during my stay that caused me to dock a star. First, there were small LED lights attached to the headboard that allowed you to read in bed if you wished. Only one of them worked, and not on the side of the bed that I sleep on, of course. Mine was not only broken, but I was able to pull it right out of the headboard! I was upset about this as it would have been nice. Also, they only have one lamp on one side of the bed, so one side is dark. Of course it's not on the side that I sleep on. That's why I wished the little reading light would have worked for me to get in and out of bed. Also, the desk area was great, but the lights above that were permanently installed did not have a switch. I looked everywhere. Weird. I guess it's a thing because they put a lamp on the desk so I could see instead. Weird. Ok, fine. I was able to do my computer thing, so that's ok, problem solved. The breakfast that they provide was acceptable, but I didn't eat a whole lot. It's enough to get you where you need to go, but I wouldn't call it filling. Eggs, sausage gravy, muffins, bagels ETC. They do have a great coffee area, so that helps. They have a great pool here but I didn't see a hot tub. Fitness room here that got used a lot by other hotel guests, newer looking equipment and TV's for entertainment in there. Parking can be tough at night, but that's most any hotel you stay at. They have a snack bar area with small ticket items to enjoy including wine and other stuff. Overall a great stay and I really enjoyed my time here.

I think I'd rather sleep in my car than stay here again. The musty smell of my room when I opened the door let me know it was going to be a long stay. At first glance the room looks spacious and clean, but it's kind of dated and needs a few renovations. I saw 2 bugs in my room- 1 dead and I killed the other. I don't know what kind of bugs they were, but I'm hoping I didn't bring any home in my bags. I took pics of them, so you know it's real. The safety latch on the door wasn't secure, and the walls are so thin. I heard every step over head, toilet flush, and sneeze during my stay. I should have known it was a basic lower end hotel when the bartender wore a t-shirt and the desk reps had on street clothes. They were really friendly and helpful, so no complaints on customer service. The room I stayed in needs some tlc and an exterminator. It's close to campus, but there are other hotels on the same street that are a much better stay! If you're just looking for a place to crash and keep it moving, this place will do. But if you want to feel comfortable where you stay, id explore other options. Hi

My only qualm was I really stayed at Hampton because I love my breakfast waffles. One of the waffle machines was broken and the one that was working kept sticking the waffles; but again that's just a qualm because I was super hyped for breakfast. Overall breakfast was yummy! Checkout again was super easy and I was out in literally less than a minute! 10/10 would recommend and probably stay here again if I needed a hotel.

I was told that my Honors Member rate would be booked for the full stay. At check in, the reservation I made was not even for the correct number of nights. I booked for Wednesday thru Sunday but they only had my block of rooms for Wednesday and Thursday. We were told to come down and check out and check back in the following day. When we came down in the morning to take care of this, that front desk person said we should not have had to check in and check out and move rooms even though this is what we were told upon arrival. We then find out that our rate has gone from $187 to approximately $500 a night for the remaining stay. Of course we are shocked. We went to speak to the manager and he was not willing to meet us in the middle to find a solution. He gave us a hard no and said you won't find another hotel in this area for the remaining days. We found another hotel, three rooms left and did not stay and found other accommodations. I think there were enough issues with our reservations and being told a different story depending upon who we spoke with that the hotel. It is unfortunate that they seemed to not care to loose guests and two rooms. I am truly floored by the switch and bait and also that management/staff really seemed to not be bothered. We might only be 6 guests total but they just lost customers who that will never book with this hotel chain again.

This trip brought us to the LeVeque. I opened the door to my room and literally stopped in my tracks. My first thought: Can the interior designer come do my house next? The decor is gorgeous. One of my favorite discoveries was that the gold framing around the mirrors and bed? Plastic. The crisscross "marble" lamp bases? Also plastic. Honestly, brilliant. They look exactly like the kind of ridiculously heavy gold frames and marble lamps that would double as murder weapons in a Dateline episode. The bathroom is huge, the towels are fluffy, and there's a separate privacy door for the toilet--an underrated luxury when traveling. My only room complaint: the shampoo has that generic "guy cologne" scent that never quite smells as good as its creators think it does. The hotel's artwork is classy, and the bar area is comfortable with plenty of couches for lounging. The drinks, however, are pricey. At those prices, the martinis should arrive with special effects--a bubble on top that explodes into smoke, minimum. A minor annoyance: the lobby ran out of Diet Coke for purchase. Unfortunately, Marriott doesn't seem to give employees a small emergency soda fund to run out and buy a case. As for parking, valet would have been nice, but instead you park in the garage around the corner. The attached walkway makes it easy enough, though. Overall: beautiful hotel, stunning rooms, great atmosphere.

We parked once that weekend and walked everywhere we wanted to go. There was live music in the lobby, and a champagne greeting when we checked in. Our room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The bathtub/shower combination was a dream. The only reason I didn't give it five stars, was our TV volume didn't really work. We even tried to turn it up to like 90 and could barely hear it. They did send service up to try to fix it, but he was unable to. Would definitely stay there again.

The place is gorgeous, well put together. The hotel staff were very attentive. A small hiccup on checking in. I was already charged through a booking website but when I arrived they said my booking was cancelled. Odd but quickly fixed. I took advantage of the welcome cocktail -- well, I asked for mine to be a mocktail. If you're looking for an alcohol substitute, you'd like it. If you're looking for juice with a flair, you will not. The bartender really loves what he does and that was nice. I also took advantage of the free COSI tickets. Lovely museum. Room was clean. Bed was nice. Shower was nice. Would've been better if it had a handheld shower head component. Downsides The walls are THIN. Unfortunately, I was privy to some extracurricular activities. Fortunately, it was short and not repeated. The steamer was dirty and not so great, and the wifi was soo slow. The bathroom needed more hooks. You could hang a towel but then you couldn't hang your wash cloth. If you needed a space to steam your clothes, you couldn't have your towel or wash cloth up. Lastly, they only gave me one wash cloth lol I did ask for more and it took a little while to get it. I think they got sidetracked because when I called down to the desk, it was there within 15 minutes.

It offers all the amenities you would expect to find from the bar to the fitness room. I was upstairs for the event space. The room was crowded for the event but then again there was probably over 400 ladies there for that fitness sampler event alone. I was impressed by the venue, I know many didn't like how small spaces and maybe The Westin would be up your alley if you need a bigger space. This hotel was designed with class I can tell. I even heard they have a rooftop area where many events take place as well. Props to the architect that came up with The Junto. I like the idea here. I will have to book a nights stay soon!

I felt $39 for valet parking was very high, especially since the first night my car was not even parked in their lot. I actually felt that they should have refunded part of the valet fee since my car was parked a block and a half away in an unattended lot. I actually felt that for $39 per night that the cars should have been in a garage. The hotel was nice, though we were looking for something to eat late at night after 10:00 p.m. and didn't realize that the sports bar stop serving food after 10:00 p.m. and the restaurant upstairs was packed and very loud. We ended up ordering out doordash which was easier and quicker especially since it was pouring down rain outside. The desk wasn't always staffed while we were there, that included when we called on the phone at 7:00 p.m. to speak with someone and the phone just rang and rang and rang, it also included daytime when we were looking to speak with someone at the front desk and there was no one there. A desk in a downtown hotel should be staffed 24 hours a day. When we booked our room I didn't realize my mother would need a handicapped room. When we finally did get a hold of someone a little bit after 7:00 on that first evening we were able to move to a room that was supposedly handicapped but wasn't quite as I expected it would be. Yes there were rails everywhere in the bathroom but the toilet was low and what really blew my mind was there was a bathtub and anyone who's handicapped like let's say in a wheelchair is not going to be able to get into the bathtub or out very easily. There was a seat underneath the sink that could be set up in the tub but how would somebody if they were handicapped get into and out of it. The first room we had had a nice shower that you could practically walk in without having to climb over the edge of a bathtub. I would have felt that would have been much better of an option for someone handicapped. Drawer space in both rooms was non-existent. In the handicap room there was one drawer underneath the fridge. In the other room there were two drawers. We were there for the weekend, we operated out of the suitcase. They were all so only four hangers. It seemed to me a bit ridiculous that there wasn't enough storage space for someone who might want to unpack if they were there for a week or longer than a weekend. In fact, I've never been in a Marriott hotel that didn't have more storage than this one. It was a bit odd to me. The staff was friendly, helpful, the little store downstairs was nice to pick up some drinks or some snacks, I'm unsure where we would have heated up the frozen dinner or pizza that were in the freezer in that little store since we didn't have a microwave in our hotel room. It was nice that the hotel was close to comfest that was happening while we were visiting the area and that North market was just a block up. It was nice that you could walk to things and weren't always reliant on your car. Again I really wanted to like this hotel thoroughly, but there were just things that didn't make sense and were problematic to me. But since we were there for an event, we didn't have a choice of the hotel for that event.
