We were the only people there so I'm not sure if this place gets busy enough to utilize all of the seating. We did go on a Friday night so it definitely wasn't 'prime time' to get a donut. We tried a few Bavarian, a chocolate cream donut, birthday cake donut, strawberry ring and sugar raised. They were all meh, I've had worse and had better. I visited this place because I wanted dessert after finishing up dinner. I wanted to try a new donut place since I do not really enjoy Dunkin. I found this place and decided to give it a try. We went through the drive-through and ordered donuts, which were warmed up. The donuts were pretty good and not too pricey, but the experience was not anything special. For dessert places, I consider going back if the food is interesting and worth a drive after dinner. I have not really considered going back here and therefore gave the three-star, but might be worth trying if you really like donuts. I thought I reviewed this place years ago. Is it weird to give a doughnut shop 5 stars? Maybe. But I wouldn't go anywhere else for a doughnut without driving a ways. Country Style doughnuts are always fresh (unless you buy a box of day olds). You can watch the guy through the window, working the dough and punching out doughnuts and putting them on the trays. They are always bringing fresh ones out for the racks. Sometimes they are out of our favorites, but that is probably because they are favorites. The black raspberry jelly is a big seller in our house. The one warning is that they don't have a great system to keep track of which jelly doughnuts are which, so periodically you get an unexpected flavor. I love the peanut ones, and they have great raised doughnuts. The twists taste so yeasty, I love them. Coffee isn't bad and they are fairly quick. We even like the bacon egg and cheese bagels they make in a little toaster oven here. The owner is really pleasant. Sometimes his employees are a little disengaged and unenthusiastic, but not mean or anything. Kind of what you would expect from teenagers. And no worse than the typical Dunkin employee. On that note, if you go to Dunkin that is close to this restaurant, you are crazy. This is far better. read more

The building look's dilapidated. The donuts are ok but super pricey. I had the coffee roll and it tasted doughy and seems uncooked in the middle. The building looks like they don't take care of it. The parking pavement is all hole-y and bumpy. I think they rent out the back part of the parking lot so they got unsightly vehicles hanging around. Mixed feelings! A Sunday morning treat for the family- I purchased a dozen donuts, 6 bagels and a coffee. I'm not a donut-lover so it's hard for me to say how the donuts rank with accuracy. Terrible. The workers are a bunch of sweet individuals who are trying their best. How is the owner operating this place? Get organized? It took a good 7-8 mins to be acknowledged. One can say "Hello, I'll be right there with you in a moment " rather than be ignored. There was one girl working in the drive-thru. Another one working on online orders (grubhub, doordash etc) and another who was rushing around. Two delivery service workers came in and all of us were ignored! It also seemed like people were ordering things online that weren't available. Replacements were being given as the servers complained among themselves. When I was served, the young lady was very nice and polite. She was just overwhelmed. I gave her cash and she was unable to work out the change. She even asked if I had a calculator? I told her to keep the change! So when it comes to service- it's a mess. The place is kept very clean, and the servers are trying their best to manage an unorganized system. Country Style Donuts mixes good value with good taste, with a side of 24/7 hour availability and topped with good selection. Even without a Yelp coupon, the donuts here are low price and extremely competitive against grocery store prices. However, the quality doesn't suffer at all as these are delicious full donut specialty shop treats. I've tried a wide variety of donuts from here and overall the quality is consistent across all types. Cake donuts are nice and fluffy with a good crisp on the outside. Yeast donuts are super soft and have a good addictive flavor to the dough. Frosting and flavorings overall aren't too sweet and provide nice distinct flavor profiles. Toppings and add-ins are pretty good, but I do wish the flavor was consistently good across each donuts. For example, the blueberry donut had nice little blueberry pieces and was glazed just the perfect amount not to be too sweet. However, the vanilla cream was a bit on the sweet side for me although quite flavorful. The coconut donut had a lot of coconut on it, but I wasn't a huge fan of the dried shavings as they could've had a better aroma. These were still good however, when compared to the quality of other similarly priced donuts. Overall, great value for the quality of donut you're getting. Good texture and good flavor that beats out many of the more expensive options in local grocery stores or donut shops. What really grinds my gears when it comes to certain donut shops, and how you can tell it's a donut place that doesn't pay attention to detail, is when you get jelly donuts with literally just a teaspoon or less of jelly in them. We got the half dozen which is $5.49. Came in on a Sunday night at 9:30 pm and they still had a good amount of donuts left. It's also a diner so they have other things besides doughnuts. The butternut is a must. It's so good. It's crunchy on the outside and the doughnut itself is soft. The sweetness is perfect--it's not too sweet and not too bland. The cinnamon is okay.
