PLEASE READ BEOFRE GOING HERE…read more My car was in a minor accident and it just needed a radiator support and some cosmetic work. It was under insurance and my car was there for over a month. My auto insurance adjuster originally quoted me a 5-day repair time. In the second week, I went to check on my car after my auto insurance adjuster told me there was damage that shouldn't have been caused by the accident and wouldn't be covered. When I got there, there was new paint damage and curb rash. And they didn't take accountability for that. No parts had been ordered, and I specifically told them not to touch my headlights. I was told it would be done in four days. In week three, still no parts had been ordered. I stopped by once again to check on my car because I had a bad feeling about this. I walked in on them working on my headlights and trying to fix the blinker that was out on my headlight, which I did not have enough money to fix at the time. He then told me that he had ordered the part and was going to put it on. He had ordered the 700 dollar headlight part that I told him not to get, and it was not going to be covered under insurance. I told him no, that's not what I wanted. and that I had already told him no. He tried convincing me six separate times to put this part on. I was told it would be done in three days. by week four, the parts had finally arrived, and I actually saw them working on my car. I was told it would be ready by the next day. I came by the next day and he said, "Come by tomorrow." I came back the next day and he said, "We just need a little bit more stuff. Come by tomorrow." I said no, I'm not going to come back tomorrow and that I was getting my car back today. This was unacceptable and unbelievable. I told him I needed my car back today. They'd been saying tomorrow three or four times in a row. I asked the mechanic how much longer he thought it would take, and he said 45 minutes. I went back to the manager, and he said, "Come back tomorrow," of course. I said no and told him I had just spoken to his mechanic who said 45 minutes. I came back an hour and a half later, and my car was ready. I was pretty excited to finally have my car back after a little over a month.But I got my car back as they were closing. As I was checking out my car and doing the walk around, I noticed a lot of bad things about the repair they did. I'm going to list every single thing that I have been able to find that they messed up on my car. So far, here's everything under the problems with the car that was fine before I dropped off. the front bumper and body panels that were correctly aligned before no longer align correctly, which THIS accident couldn't have caused. The body lines and gaps are no longer lining up. They only put in two of the four bolts that go into one of my headlights. They forgot a whole bumper bolt. Very obvious missing bolts from the wheel liner, and a missing part of the wheel liner. Left with zero coolant in the engine. They proceeded to pour non-distilled water in my coolant reservoir, so now I have to do a coolant flush. There was a nail in my tire. They did not plug in my front parking sensors. They did not screw in my hood latch at all, so I couldn't get my hood open for 20 minutes. Also there's just so many loose screws. THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN ABLE TO FIND WITHOUT TAKING OFF BUMPER will edit if I need to As of now I have not contacted Hal's Auto body about this yet due to the circumstances surrounding the repairs and damage I received back, I am considering potential legal action and documenting everything

If you have a dent in your car, I highly suggest Matt. Matt was genuine and extremely fair. Today I noticed a dent in my 370Z, it was in a fairly difficult spot (Front right fender, denting the line of the car). Long story short, Matt completely reversed the damage and only charged me $120.00, when other auto body shops wanted 1k minimum. On top of that, Matt called me and claimed I gave him $20.00 too much... Anyways, Matt was the paragon of a savior. I suggest him to anyone who needs any dents removed. Matt is the man period, so good at what he does he made this experience super easy. He came to my place for a free quote which was extremely reasonable and was able to come back the same day and said if you're not happy I won't charge you after I'm done...that's how good he his at what he does! The removal of my massive dent on my 4-runner was incredible, looks brand new again and he did it in little over an hour. I am sure we all have used some affordable mobile PDR guys that makes it look 80-90% for a couple of hundred bucks, and tell you "hey that's the best i can do" and kinda accept that as the norm, but i am here to tell you there is indeed masters out there we can get it to 95-100%. The most amateurish move i have experienced would be guys that's drilling holes into the body to access the dents, and then putting a rubber plug over the hole. I guess that works for cheaper cars that no one cares about, but when it comes to supercars and exotics u expect a different quality. There was a guy that specializes in Porsches that's mobile and have good rates, but he retired during the pandemic so I had to start from scratch for a ding guy. I found Steve a few years ago, and he has since worked on my porsche, ferrari and lambos previously, and it's always fascinating seeing all the methods he used to remove dings and dents; heating up panels, knocking it a different way with all kinds of tools, repeated glue and pull, wet sanding, polishing...i always just watch in awe. With exotics sometimes you just dont want to repaint a panel and hurt the value, so PDR has its place over repaint for sure, as long as the paint itself is salvageable. He's flexible on the schedule, a very nice person to chat with and is extremely knowledgeable in the craft, which comes from a lot of experience. You can usually wait on the car as well as long as you make an appointment. His prices unfortunately is slowly creeping up, like everything else. He's a bit further out almost at the very edge of LA county and isnt mobile, but if you want it done right he's definitely the guy to go with. I hope he doesnt retire too soon HAHA!
