Newly opened store that exceeded expectations! I'm not a big fan of the Sprouts near Smyrna, so when I heard about this new location opening in Marietta, closer to where I live, I had to check it out. Pros: Lots of absurdly great sales. (Maybe for opening?) Very fresh dried fruit and quality produce. Clean and bright inside. Friendly staff. Cons: Kind of cramped, inside, even when not busy. Employees not 100% knowledgable; still learning. I gave it 4-stars since it's so much better than the other OTP Atlanta Sprouts and the quality of the products were great. The current sales are ridiculous. Dried cranberries at $2/pound? Large bottles of coconut water at half off. Avocados only 48 cents, etc. I'll keep coming back, hoping that the extra low prices continue! read more

Sprouts Farmers Market - Unbelievable price for grapefruit! - Grocery Near Me - Marietta, Georgia

A long time customer had this experience in sprouts yesterday. OK, so this just happened and I am sad to see what is happening around us..... I was at the Sprouts Farmers Market East Cobb this morning at 9:15 am and waited in line for a few minutes to be checked out. The cash register person named Ryan, who I believe was also the assistant store manager, decided to go to another register line and asked a Caucasian woman to go to his register and cut in front of me. Even after seeing me wait in line there was no apology for what he did. I asked him why he did that and was it because of the color of my skin and he became defensive and started to tell me he was not racist. I simply asked him to put himself in my place. I told him that it was not acceptable for what he did. Still no apology. He kept being defensive. And then he totally refused to serve me when I placed my vegetables on the cash register. This will certainly not be a place for me to shop where people like Ryan feel entitled and privileged. I am waiting on his manager, Patrick or someone from corporate to call me back. The whole thing is toxic. Systemic racism, discrimination and disrespect towards ethnic customers has NO place in a business or in any workplace! PERIOD!!!! Shame on you, Sprouts, for promoting this kind of culture! Let us all rise above this kind of behavior and treat each other with dignity and respect. read more

I have been to this Sprouts location three or four times. With the exception of a few items not available at other grocery stores there is seldom something special here. Value for the dollar is below average unless a rare special promotion is being offered. Lackadaisical and complacent attitude at the managerial and corporate level just adds to my disappointment with Sprouts. Substandard customer service is rampant across the retail market, especially over the last decade or so. Difficult as it may be for some to believe, if you want a representative standard of superior customer service, try Kroger. read more

I was SO excited when sprouts opened two years ago because ever since Jeff Bezos took over Whole Foods I can't stand supporting his evil organization that SOAKS the elite members American public. But after shopping there for two years I must say I have NEVER seen MORE people standing around doing NOTHING while customers need help. Just the other day I was there trying to get some fish and stood in front of the MEAT counter for five minutes while a line of people formed behind me and NOBODY was visible behind the counter because the apparently ONE guy who was actually working was in the back helping the British woman in front of me. (The British people must be the most patient people in the world). I was actually going to LEAVE the store WITHOUT the fish I went in for and go to HO FOODS across the street when I happened to encounter a young lady who ACTUALLY SEEMED TO CARE if I got what I needed. When she asked me if I needed help I asked her if anyone was actually working in the meat department. She walked back there with me just in time for the ONE guy who was in the back to come out and apologize for the wait because he was helping the British lady. THEN I noticed two more people who were working in the meat department but apparently remaining in visible until that minute moment. I have LITERALLY watched FOUR employees standing around talking to the guy who I happen to know is an assistant manager in that store. I sincerely hope Sprouts can remain open and provide competition for Amazon's evil empire across the street but I seriously doubt how that can happen when they pay so many people to do so little. read more

Not sure why all the complaints here but felt compelled to leave a review. If you usually shop at places like Whole Foods or Trader Joe's but not on a whole paycheck budget, give sprouts a try. We eat paleo, gluten and dairy free and sprouts is better than either one of those for that. Guess it depends what you eat though. Sprouts also has fantastic sausage and carne asada for good prices. Also great prices on bulk items, stuff there is 5.99 bulk at sprouts will be 9.99 at Whole Foods. read more

There seems to be many sprouts stores popping up all over the neighborhood and for good reason. This was such a good alternative to the stand grocers which I had been accustomed and reserved to before. But not anymore! This is my go to store from now on. There are plenty of organic options all over the store and the fresh produce is decent in quality. The deli has good fresh food and is good if you are on the run. The bulk fried food section and the dry snacks are probably my favorite items. I have purchased chicken thighs and served it to my discerning mother tandoori style from scratch. As she was eating it, she says "hmmm...this is the best chicken I've had in a long time---where did you get it?" Ok a little relieved she enjoyed my cooking because she is an excellent cook herself. The customer service was polite and helpful and they could answer all of my questions. I like that they have specials throughout the store every week. It is reasonably priced and with just as good quality as others but is a fraction of the cost. Love, love, love this place and highly recommend it! read more

Having been to a Sprouts in Dunwoody, I wasn't initially a fan. However, the chain is winning me over. 3.5 stars, inching up to 4! This is what I like: -- one can realize real savings by purchasing what's on sale. (I now sort through their weekly circular.) When it's a 'twofer," shoppers can reap the discount even by purchasing one. +++produce is fresh and there's a decent selection ++ artisan breads and muffins; no nutritional value, but the pistachio muffins taste great . There's also a nice selection of packaged breads. Unlike Aldi that carries one of each item, Sprouts' offers a choice of say, sprouted breads, whole wheat breads, etc. +++store is clean and easy to navigate +++ bins of loose grains, nuts, chocolates, (a plus when I want to try something new) +++ interesting products that one won't necessarily see in Publix. This store is also located next to TJ Maxx, which for people like me, is a bonus! read more

I would say the salad bar is something to be avoided. The containers are way too big, especially if you're only getting salad for yourself (and there's not enough lettuce to adequately fill the containers anyway. Some of the salad meats look like they're in the process of going bad by late afternoon (especially the tuna) and they break the tops off the lids for the salad dressing bottles and then put the bottles on ice. The ice has of course melted by mid afternoon and the salad dressing bottles start floating and tipping over, causing water to flood the inside of the bottles and ruin the dressing. I went to pour some ranch dressing on my salad today and milky water started pouring out of the bottle right away. It was disgusting. I can probably stomach the rest of the store, not the salad bar ever again. read more

Here's the deal: If you find yourself going repeatedly to some combo of Trader Joe's/Target/Whole Foods ALL 90 seconds away from this spot, you MIGHT be able to reduce to just one trip here. Sometimes. Having said that, this chain strikes me as exactly half-way between Fresh Market and Publix. Not a real big store, some exotic fare, lots of national brands. Specifically, Chobani. Good test case. Whole Foods booted it, Trader Joe's doesn't carry it, Target does (but then you are in for that store's very, very narrow grocery selections otherwise), and Fresh Market's default price is an insane $1.49 per. Which is also's Sprout's default start price -- except for a 79 cent "special" number the first week. Where does it land? Here's the additional deal: produce is OK both in quality and in price, fresh meat the same, perhaps a notch below Fresh Market and two notches below Whole Foods, if not more for steak. Just not very compelling. Ribeye and strip at $12 and $10 a lb was only good, not great. Beer and wine? Meh at best. Really want this spot to work as it would save me trips, but considering the only OK standards for fresh fare and the challenged parking (too, too shallow lot) it might not. read more

This place has the most questionable produce. Mold. The management is flat out rude to your face. Management shows it is lacking in attention because you can not get into a lane to purchase. First time to a Sprouts, not sure if I'll ever go back. The main reason why I did not like my experience at Sprouts was the attitude of the employees. I'm a pretty patient guy, but after standing at the deli counter waiting to order a sandwich without being acknowledged, it is a little eye opening. There were a million employees working back there as well, and it was almost like they were waiting for someone else to take the lead and go man the sandwich counter. Another 15 minutes later (after watching the employee fumble through making one of their own signature sandwiches and which required me having to coach their way through the process including reciting the ingredients), I finally had my sandwiches and was ready to move on to other parts of the store (25 minutes in the store = 2 sandwiches....). As I moved onto my next section of the store, I was checking out the produce and almost got run over by some dude trucking along with the meat cart. No apologies, no excuse me's, it was almost as if I was in his way. The sandwich experience and meat cart experiences left a dull taste in my mouth. The only reason why I do not give Sprouts one star is that their prices are pretty decent and at least the cash register employee was friendly. Customer service folks, it goes a long way! read more

Sprouts Farmers Market is the fourth (4) and newest jewel in the EastCobb trendy big box organic food quaidrifecta. Along with Whole Foods (1), Fresh Market (2), and Trader Joe's (3). Crunchy EastCobbers need barely venture outside their northerly stroll up JFR! Sprouts can be well worth the very slight detour. Clean attractive space that is notable for reasonable and sale prices on produce. They made us great lunch sandwich combos, also at reasonable prices. Staff is friendly. You can spend quite a bit here if not careful; this is not normally a discount grocery. Most people in EastCobb are nice or have no axe to grind, if not friendly. Now I have found the place that keeps the social ghouls, goblins and zombies concentrated in one area like a magnet. There is no hope of "grocery bonhomie" or camaraderie in a long line. As for my co-shoppers--and this is probably not true of any other store in the area--it seemed as if I was the only one who didn't need Metamucil (or to get l@id--sorry--was that too politically incorrect? Hint: Look inward....then invest in clothes from this century--which means no teddy bear sweaters), so I feel badly for the employees. Sprouts had its grand opening today. It is located next to TJ Max in East Cobb. I didn't have a problem finding a parking space although it was crowded. Lots of people were inside. The inside of the store is similar to Whole Foods, without the high prices or snotty attitudes of the employees. They have a wonderful produce section. There is also a section where bulk items are offered. They have some good deals going on. All vitamins are 25 per cent off. I purchased a 5 lb box of mandarins for $3 and a whole pineapple for $1. I bought a ciabatta bread with a decent crust. Check out was quick and efficient. I will definitely be going back. read more

Bottom line: wholesome food that includes all the staples. Can be reasonably priced for sale items. I like this Sprouts. It's not a huge store and it doesn't have the fun, friendly feeling of Trader Joe's, but I like how it's open inside with only a few aisles so it's easy to see the location of most items. It's larger than Trader Joe's but smaller than Whole Foods. There's a prepared food section for picking up a quick meal for dinner, or you can order a sandwich at their deli counter. They have a large produce section (although I find their produce sometimes doesn't keep as long as at other places), and their meats on sale are a pretty good deal. They have a few aisles of boxed and bagged goods (cereal, soups, chips, pasta), and they have milk, yogurt, and ice cream. Bonus that there is a wine and beer section (with local varieties of beer). My favorite section has bins of grains, dried fruit, and candy. It's a great way to try out something new or get a small treat on the way out! The tip for this place is to check the sales! There's no question that the prices are more expensive than Publix or Trader Joe's, but their sale prices are usually a good deal, especially on their meat and beer. My only criticism is that every time I've been there's only been 1 register open. Granted I tend to shop in the evenings, but there's still a line at that one register... read more

Used to shop there all the time when they first opened. Went downhill fast. Always something wrong with the produce (under-ripe, over-ripe, bad condition) and got to the point to where they became worse than Kroger. Store is small and annoyingly hard to navigate in a tiny circus shopping cart. Being in East Cobb people are rude enough already and don't understand being courteous. Getting there was not really worth the risk of damage or death passing other stores to get there. Also watched employees handle garbage/dirty items then handle food to help customers. Never ordered anything from the deli as it was also nasty and more than Publix (Boars Head). Stopped ordering from the meat department less than a year after opening. The shelf items are all eclectic natural foods item and overpriced (I'm sure it all tastes like cat food). The "bin/loose items" were all expensive and gross from people sticking their nasty hands in it to graze/sample. Bakery items were good and priced ok and if you were looking for oils and remedies they had a good selection of those. At least I can say something good (that's your (1) Star).. Just makes more sense to shop at -any- other store or online. =D - - - read more

The concept has plenty of potential, but the execution isn't there at any location I've visited, this location being my most frequented. My biggest negative takeaway has always been the lack of concern for check out times. This has been a consistent issue since opening; they only have one or two registers open no matter how busy it is. Second would be the inconsistency with produce. I know it is not entirely up to them but stock levels and quality are in a constant state of flux, which is especially disappointing given how much they showcase produce in their stores. Often times the employees seem less than thrilled to help, and the management can often be seen on the sales floor but there never seems to be an effort at improvement. Finally, their meat department, which was a saving grace for me having any interest in shopping there, has gone the way of many other grocery retailers. The majority of products come in pre-cut and pre-packaged. An employee told me even their sausages, which they at one time prided themselves on making in house, will be coming in pre-made. All in all, I may stop in occasionally out of convenience or for something specific to their bakery section, but otherwise I'll spend my time and money elsewhere, as should you. read more

The worst 'returning a rancid item' experience ever. I bought some tartar sauce and when my wife opened it the sauce had separated and rancid. Taking a $4 item back was horrible. Even though it was expired when we bought it (which I needed my glasses to read) they seemed just plain rude. They: 1) wanted a receipt- even though nobody else carries that brand; 2) never apologized for selling me a bad product; and hassled me about no receipt. I guess a regular (now an ex-regular) customer is valued at less than $4. It was humiliating. read more

This is not the first time I post a review about Sprouts. Unfortunately my last complain did nothing. I did complain about the odd behavior towards me. Yes, just talk to the manager he will tell you exactly who I am. And you know what? I don't appreciated, it's very damaging and perturbing , and they have absolutely no reason for this. So Sprouts is OK and fine - I am fortunate to live near some great grocers. Although what had been my second favorite did close up on JFR - Fresh Market. So Sprouts - the only issue I have with the chain is the lack of dairy options. Produce is good, bulk area is excellent, meat area offers options only previously found at butchers. While I am a fan of Sprouts, this location is run very poorly. You can stand at a counter and no one will acknowledge your presence. The store is dirty and the employees are not very friendly. I have made several trips in there ONLY to buy freshly squeezed juice. 4 out of 5 times, they were out, OR who ever was working did not know how to use the machine so I made the trips for nothing. We were really excited to check out Sprouts. We do like organic produce and meats so we chose to go here instead of whole foods. We walked down the aisles and checked things out ( a lot of the stuff they have, they have at Publix. Publix is just WAY cheaper). Upon our journey, literally, every-single-thing we picked up was expired. Bacon? Expired. Chicken breast? Expired. MILK?!?! Expired. We were so disgusted, at that point all we wanted to do was leave. We did let a store associate know about all the expired product and she did offer to give it to us for free???????? I wish this place lived up to expectations. read more

Initially loved shopping here because of the small store size and product selection. During my last few visits, I have been so disgusted by my encounters with store staff, that I will no longer shop here. Being treated like I am a bother by a mid-aged men at the deli was frustrating (an 'I'll get to you when I'm ready' attitude), and having a female cashier be unapologetically rude - eye rolling and literally throwing my groceries- was the last straw. A bit underwhelmed...I will admit I rarely venture into any grocery stores other than Publix, but I did want to give Sprouts a chance. I value customer service over ANYTHING else, and no one comes close to Publix in that regard. I'm really not a Sprouts/Whole Foods/Trader Joe's/Fresh Market kind of shopper anyway, so I'm not in a position to speak about Sprouts' products and prices as compared to others, but I can speak to their quality of service. I was definitely approached by one or two employees asking if I needed assistance, but for the most part I had to flag someone down. However I didn't find that problematic. What I did find is that the checkout process is by far the area in which they need the most improvement. I don't think all the cashiers are well-trained, both in the actual mechanics of their jobs as well as treating the customer as their number one priority. There's lots of visiting among employees rather than interacting with the customer. That always annoys me even though I see it all the time. No other retail grocery store comes close to Publix when it comes to customer service, but Trader Joe's provides a pleasant shopping experience as well. Sprouts? Whole Foods? Fresh Market? Meh. I avoid Kroger like the plague. Perhaps when they get through the growing pains stage, Sprouts will be a nice alternative. But unless they make more room in that store, I can't see myself shopping there on a regular basis. It seems very crowded and cramped to me. read more
