I loaded up with some bulk items: lions mane, cordyceps, pink salt, psyllium... Without double-checking the price, I filled up little ziploc bags assuming that bulk was cheaper than packaged item. I had 2.5 bags of groceries with no meat and a 12 pack of Modelo. My bill was $227. When I got home I looked at my receipt and with some checking on the website, I saw that the bulk items I bought were more expensive than if I had bought them in packages. Not happy. For this who drink, their wine selection may look small but it's actually very well curated. You'll find something you like. I typically go through the self checkout but there is often an employee for when you're fighting the machine. The employees I've met are very sweet. This should always be your go to grocery store! I'm a regular here and always get the ready to cook dinner meals. They are easy to follow and have great flavor. Sprouts Seal Beach is my favorite store to shop. The employees are always helpful and nice. Their new salad bowls are delicious, especially love the Sirloin Beef Hibachi Bowl. Just came in to grab a quick lunch. And I was so satisfied I was like I have to pull up Yelp!!! I wanted something light, and not too pricey. I got a turkey sandwich on multigrain bread and let me tell you- it was sensational. I had a sweet young man in a beanie help me- Luke. Absolutely darling and killed it on the sandwich! Very great customer service and I was in and out quickly. They have a really yummy chocolate covered honeycomb in the bulk section as well. In my family we call it "angels food". Potato, potahto. Discolored precut packed deli ham prepared in the morning is what they want you to buy in the deli section. I went there at 5pm and asked to cut 3/4 pound of Black Forest ham in the deli section and the lady told me she can't cut it for me because there were already prepackaged ham in the refrigerator section they prepared this morning. They were all discolored and didn't look good at all. Sorry but I'm not buying deli ham that looks like this: dry and pale. read more

Update: This Sprouts continues to impress. I have been to several others recently due to a changed work schedule and still keep returning to this one. I have quietly watched them go above and beyond for (demanding--per the area) customers. Grabbing things from the back on demand, making special requests for stock items in the deli, organizing long lines so the wait is quick and service efficient. Damien, Tom, Sara, and really the entire team have been nothing but professional and kind each and every time. My friends and family that shop here have all raved about the exceptional customer service. They could all work in the most exhausting and stressful conditions and still take the time to ask how you're doing. I miss visiting for the Sprouts brand siracha. Keep it coming team. Don't bother getting sandwich at the Rossmoor Seal Beach unless you want to wait forever. They act like it's the last thing they want to do. They'd rather talk a walk around. By the time they pick up the requests others had dropped off requests . I had to wait the longest even though I dropped mine first. read more

This is one of my all-time favorite markets to visit. It always has fresh, crisp vegetables and fruits, a wide variety of organic produce, and plenty of specialty items. The selection of vitamins and natural supplements is also impressive. I love ordering fresh sandwiches from the deli - they're always made to order and delicious. The market is always stocked with freshly baked muffins and pastries, which are truly exceptional! The bulk section features a vast array of nuts, seeds, and dried fruits, all of which are consistently fresh. I try to refrain from leaving negative reviews but I'm pretty annoyed to say the least. I went into sprouts on my 30 minute lunch (I sometimes go on my 15). I get a prepackaged sandwich and it's pretty good for 5$. However I need a condiment so I ask for mustard. Since they don't have them out I go up and ask at the counter and I usually have to wait a minute or 2 and I don't mind but today was different I felt like I was waiting forever. I noticed that I usually have to say something to whoever is working behind the counter rather than being checked on, but today I looked right at someone and asked and they just looked at me and smiled. Then I asked again and it literally took forever for them to grab me my mustard. I know it's little but the build up of constantly waiting to be helped is annoying so if your on a time crunch don't bother with the deli whatsoever. 10 minutes waisted on waiting. read more

Off putting sight when I first walked in... only two registers opened and two long lines of people, at least 5 deep in each. So, I just walked around and meandered until they opened another register and the lines died down. Customers in line were complaining amongst themselves. It's hard for me to fully criticize this particular location, because they did have two shining stars...Brian and Pauline! The first thing I noticed when I walked in was Brian's genuine greeting, but for the next hour, no one spoke a word to me. I was literally standing on my tip toes trying to get something while 3 of the employees stood around talking, I even asked and they gave me the 1 min hand signal. That one min never came. Around that time, Brian found me again and asked if I needed anything, I thanked him for seeing me and he responded "I never want to bother anyone so I wanted to give you some space". Talk about a thoughtful employee, for the remainder of my time shopping, Brian always made sure I was ok. There's a slight possibility that the minute he saw me tearing up in gratitude, he realized I probably needed more help than I was leading on. Sometimes, when I go shopping here (esp in sweats and sneakers) I notice the employees are more concerned at what I may do or what I may take then helping me find what I need and get out. Pauline was an amazing cashier, I had a lot of stuff and felt bad because she was so fast at scanning and bagging that she was finished by the time I got everything out of cart and attempted to help her bag. Our Sprouts feels like a local mom and pop store. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. Plus, they actually chit chat. I asked about an obscure fruit that I knew they carried, but couldn't find. While Jared showed me where it was, he asked about my weekend, how the beach was, etc. Seriously, he was helpful and a cool guy. Made me want to come back to find out how summer school was going for his kid. Oh, and yes, they have a great selection of stuff you just can't get anywhere else. I primarily go to Sprouts for their blueberry pies (my preference is the no sugar added one). I've had the ones from other grocery stores such as Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, but I like the Sprouts one the most. Although I find that the pie is a too sweet for me, the taste is still better than other grocery store ones. The crust is flaky, the berries are plump and juicy, and it satisfies my craving. In addition to the pies, I enjoy perusing their bulk bins and sometimes purchase nuts, seeds, etc. especially when on sale. Their offerings are plentiful and they oftentimes even have seasonal items. The produce section offers harder to find items such as black garlic (compared to a other mega chains); the butcher and seafood counter offer various items as well. I hope to try their hot foods and made-to-order sandwiches eventually since I see many customers buying these coffees. Coffee beans are available too; I've bought some in the past and found that beans made a good cup of Joe. Staff are friendly and helpful. What I don't like is that the some cashiers can be slow during the checkout process and carts are sometimes hard to find. Prices also tend to be on the higher side though but I kinda expected that for this place. Nonetheless, this location is convenient, clean, and easy to navigate. A solid grocery store. read more

Two things I LOVE about my experience with Sprouts that actually just started: 1 - the smiles behind the phone (yes, we can actually sense if people are smiling through the phone, people! I sooo appreciate this.) 2 - the kind words used by the staff and how willing they were to help me, going out of their way to help me. WOW! I've been working in the Customer Service/Hospitality industry for over 25 years now, and I can honestly say that your staff cares about what they do and are proud to serve everyone!
