The staff at Bogarts are always amazing! So friendly and helpful! The other week I (betrayingly) went to javatinis because I was parked right in front of it, and my toddler was begging for an iced water. I went into javatinis since it was right there and I felt bad about just asking for a water without paying so I ordered an iced latte (even though I don't care for their drinks). After I had already paid, I asked them politely for an iced water. They said they would have to charge. I was like "what? Even though I paid for a drink?" And the girl said "yes we charge for the cost of the cup." So pathetic. So I walked over to bogarts fully expecting to have to pay for something else I didn't need just to get an iced water for my toddler. The girl at bogarts, without hesitation, gave me an iced water. I said "are you sure? I can buy a muffin or something" she said "seriously it's no problem." And because of that, I went back a few hours later to get an iced chai, and now bogarts is the only coffee shop we'll give our money to every week in seal beach. Funny how not being cheap and a penny pincher with your paying customers will benefit you in the long run. Javatinis could learn a thing or two from them... I tell all of my seal beach family and friends to only go to bogarts from now on. read more

I've been coming here off and on over the decades since they opened in early 2000's. I love getting a cup of coffee after a stroll along the chilly pier. I've honestly only had their black coffee or the cold brew, never anything fancier. They're open late so nothing like a steaming cup of coffee when the marine layer is rolling in. They have a few food items too and have eaten a few crepes over the decades. Prices are getting really high but that's the norm everywhere now. Service is friendly and the atmosphere inviting. I was amused to see the basket of buttons by the register is still there. I remember buying a few buttons over 20 years ago from the same basket. read more

Got the Iced pumpkin spice latte and iced lavender honey latte. If you like sweet drinks then this would be good for you. The pumpkin spice latte was pretty strong in flavor but didn't quite taste like a usual pumpkin flavor, not sure what it was. But the coffee taste was still pretty strong. I liked the lavender honey latte more but again the flavors were all very strong, especially the lavender and the coffee, so not a light drink at all. The inside is pretty dated as well as the menu. Not a typical specialty coffee shop like most cafes nowadays. It was also pretty warm inside so not very strong AC but good spot right across the water. Cute cozy spot. I tried their lavender Honey Latte and it was good. I didn't really care for the charge of $1.10 for oat milk . I wish there wasn't an up charge for specialty milk. I also tried the banana, strawberry and Nutella crepe. It's was cooked perfectly and hit the spot. read more

We decided to take a walk on the pier since it was such a beautiful day. We came here to get coffee before heading to the pier to catch the sunset. I ordered a Candy Cane Latte. I didn't taste too much of the candy cane flavor but it was still good. Not too sweet. I ordered a small and it was a pretty good size. He ordered the eggnog latte. I took a sip. It was just okay. It did not taste like eggnog. It tasted just like regular coffee. The place is cute with tables and comfy chairs. I wouldn't mind going back for coffee since it's right by the pier. read more

Gone here consistently over the course of 10+ years on vacation and their drinks always are great. I think their chai is one of my absolute favorites that I've ever had, it always makes me think of fall! Another favorite of mine is their Mexican mocha, it never fails. Baristas are always so sweet & personable, I love the vibe of the cafe. The music consistently hits and the featured art is always so beautiful! Not to mention the super cute hats they sell, I also love browsing the pins at the register and checking out the sticky note art! My favorite coffee shop at the beach. It's always a cool vibe whenever I pull up. The owners are very nice and I have been knowing of them for about several years or more now. Never any complaints with the service. It's always professional, friendly and welcoming. The coffee is always fresh, hot and refreshing. I love arriving at the beach early when it's still dark so I can park, grab a cup of coffee or tea and begin my morning walk on the pier. It's impossible to not enjoy the sound of those waves. Visited Bogart's this morning to get some work done and had such a pleasant time! With free WiFi, it is a great space to enjoy the view of Seal Beach while working at the same time. To help with this they print their WiFi code on small slips of paper so you can help yourself. There is limited seating, but if you're able to snag a seat you have the perfect spot. I grabbed a mocha and it was a lovely treat. Coffee is a little pricey, but worth it considering how good it was and how friendly the vibe was. Overall, I highly recommend! read more

The coffe house itself is so cute as really vintage decor and they play music which is also nice. They have many flavors to choose from and they also serve food. Alternative milk is offered makes nice for choices. I ordered a coconut oat milk latte which was very tasty. Their prices are about average and their barista. Very nice. You can find parking in front if you're lucky or just go down the side streets for free parking. So if you're ever in the seal Beach area come check them out. read more

This may be a more non-traditional review, but feel obligated to leave it. We love coming here and supporting a local business, not just the big chain coffee shops as the young employees here are always great and their drinks are fantastic. What we have noticed, however, is how dirty this place has become. There is a white oscilating fan mounted to the wall which is actually grey now due to the layer of dust all over it and the walls. The ceiling fans have a thick layer of dust on the all the blades and the floors under the chairs and towards the back room are filthy with dirt and dog hair as dogs are allowed inside. There is clearly no janitor service here, but this business really needs to shut the doors for one day and do an all-hands-on-deck, top-to-bottom cleaning session. Just my $.02... read more

There is indoor seating, but I've only been lucky to find seating once (it does it busy). Outdoor seating is available as well. I got a cold brew with sugar-free almond syrup. They offered a wide variety of syrups, including many different sugar-free. I thought that the almond flavor was more like marzipan, I'm not sure if it is something that I would get again. my friend ordered smoothie and they made her the wrong one. She ended up saying that the one that they made sounded good so kept it, but they did offer to remake the correct one. She also got a double chocolate muffin and some apple juice for her children. They all seemed to enjoy. Throughout the ordering process, the barista did not seem very attentive or thorough. they made the wrong smoothie and said "i dont know" to a number of questions and also were eating what I assume was lunch. Afterwards, though when we were sitting outside one of my friends children had left their toy in there, and they went to personally return it to us. They offer multiple sizes. They accepted contactless payment. There was a restroom available for customer use. The interior was well decorated and I enjoyed the ambience overall I had an okay experience. I love their coffee and their employees. If that was the only criteria I'd give them 5/5. It's the management that cost them a star. But don't ever go on a weekend. There will be a line of people and their kids, strollers, and dogs getting everything from crepes to shave ice. Usually one or two employees only so be prepared to wait during prime time. Very small inside and you end up standing outside while waiting for your order and constantly going inside to check if it's ready. Thrift store furniture could use an upgrade, or at least a cleaning. Free pup cups are great. Please hire an extra employee so the person taking the orders doesn't then have to step away from the register to make your drink, leaving the next person(s) in line having to wait. read more

This place by Seal Beach was very cute and felt cozy when we walked in. It wasn't too busy and the view of the sunset from here was gorgeous. Theres indoor seating, but not a lot. We ordered the Lavender Honey Latte and the Vanilla Bean Frappe. Im not used to the taste of lavender in my drinks, but this was surprisingly tasty. The vanilla bean frappe tasted pretty standard too. Overall, a neat place for some coffee. read more

Oh, how I love this place! It's a really cute coffee house on Ocean Avenue with great coffee and tea and delicious pastries, bagels, paninis, and crepes - - but one of the best things about it is that you can step outside, cross the street, and be on the beach. Seal Beach is my hubby's beach--close to the home in which he was raised and his dad still lives. So now, it's my beach, and I love it!! Inside, there our tables and plenty of seating to work or gather with friends. There are also tables outside on the sidewalk which have a great view of cars driving up and down Ocean Avenue. Since the seal Beach Pier is right across the street you also get to see the ocean and the pier. The staff is so helpful and so friendly and make you feel welcome. Today I had a toasted, buttered jalapeno and cheddar bagel and a blended vanilla latte. Both were absolutely delicious, and a perfect start to my day. read more
