This little ice cream shop is located right on the main road in Seal Beach. There are several ice cream shops in the area, but this one I think has more unique flavors. The attendant greeted us right away and offered us samples to try. I ended up with the coffee chocolate chip and it was pretty tasty. Very creamy and soft texture with plenty of chocolate chips. I do wish it had a little bit more of the coffee flavor, but overall it was good. read more

Affogato is laughable! I ordered 2 of them and they gave the smallest scoop of ice cream that was literally all melted from espresso before it was even handed to me. It was literally a hot paper cup of espresso with some vanilla milk floating on top. I figured it was a mistake and asked the server if that was normal and she said affogato comes with only one tiny scoop. It HAS to be a mistake though because the affogatos I bought are $9 but the menu shows you can buy a small cup (which is TWO scoops for $6) AND an espresso shot (for $2.75) for $8.75... The server did not want to hear it and just said that is what it is and I was forced to shamefully buy another medium cup of same ice cream just to add to both to make them respectable edible affogato. Pretty lame service, understanding, and training if this was a mistake. read more

My family and I really enjoyed Paradis. This is our first trying it. We tried several flavors all were really good. It was a perfect summer night for icecream. It def hit the spot. The atmosphere was chill, lots of people were just standing around enjoying thier treats. The only reason they did NOT get five stars was poor Melissa. She was by herself with all the customers most of the day. What made it worse was everyone wanted a sample; different flavors; additional toppings etc which made the wait pretty long. But Melissa was patient; attentive; and handled everything very well. It's a shame that in the summer months and on a Friday she was by herself. Not once did she complain. Hopefully management will get some more assistance for thier employees asap. It's going to be a summer... read more

Great place and memories for me since this this the place that my kid and I hung out when he was little and during CoVid period plus also a play where I took my kid and his cousins and/or his friends to have sweet treats. Small but great vibe with cute and clean cut and bright place. Great choices and seasonal choices throughout the year. Also they do have great coffee here too. Staff mostly are nice and friendly service. There are benches outside and throughout the street plus walking distance to the beach and the pier. The ice cream are fantastic, perfectly mixed well, smooth and tasty, not too sweet but perfectly sweet too hit the sweet tooth. Love this place a lot. read more

Paradis Ice Cream is located in Old Town Seal Beach and everything here is handmade. I originally came in because they offer custom hot cocoas, including an ice-cream hot cocoa, which sounded amazing. I sampled the s'mores flavor and wanted to use that for my hot cocoa, but since it was close to closing and only one person was working, the espresso machine was already off. Totally understandable. What really stood out to me was how fresh and delicate their ice cream is. Nothing felt overwhelming or overloaded with ingredients. I ordered the chocolate chip caramel banana sundae and honestly thought it might be too sweet or heavy, especially with caramel and chocolate involved. But it was the opposite. The chocolate chips were thin shavings with the perfect light crunch, the caramel was subtle, and you could actually taste real banana. Nothing artificial, nothing excessive. The same goes for the s'mores flavor. It tasted like the real thing, super soft, creamy, and well balanced. The textures were amazing. I usually never finish my ice cream, but I finished the entire thing and already can't wait to come back. I'm especially excited to try their s'mores hot cocoa next time. read more

Coming down Seal Beach with some friends only gets better when you order ice cream. I thought this place was great for that. My friend treated me some ice cream when I meant to pay for it myself, but this ice cream was pretty good. There were a variety of options to order, but I wanted mine not to be too sweet. After the Pasadena location closed down I didn't think I'd be able to ice cream from Paradis so I was really happy to find this location close to my new home. My husband and I drove out on a weekend night and it wasn't too crowded when we arrived. There were maybe two customers in front of us and only one employee working. We were able to sample a couple of flavors so I got to rediscover the flavor that I loved most. We ordered a drink, scoop of ice cream and ended up purchasing 3 pints to go from the grab-and-go freezer. When we were sampling the flavors, a bunch of people came in after us so I think the employee was overwhelmed. Overall flavors are delicious, service was average (hopefully they're more staffed for those who come after meals), and store was clean. There's a good amount of parking available. Since we went later in the evening, I'm sure most people were either home or still out eating. We will definitely be back once we finish eating our pints at home! read more

We got their taro and cookie butter. Both were good but he completely finished the cookie butter so he liked that much more. I liked the taro though. Both weren't too sweet and were both creamy and good. I also liked that they had other unique flavors such as creme burlee. They also had vegan options. Walking through the neighborhood the other afternoon on a recent visit and came across this cool little frozen desserts shop. Really great small batch ice creams and sorbets made fresh daily. Seriously small batch work. Walk up counter service is friendly and kind, offering samples if needed and time to look, with a variety of size options and container choices, the amount of flavors available is impressive for how small this shop is - I went for a waffle bowl regular (3 scoops) orange and peach sorbet, salted caramel ice cream and rocher (as in almond rocher) ice cream for my three scoops and each was steller in its own right. The sorbet, orange and peach was so flavorful it was reminescent of an orange crush soda and fresh peach overtones. Both of the ice creams also reminded me of true old school rock salt "hand cranked" soft style like my grandmother made - that consistency and creaminess that was time honored tradition from my youth. The salted caramel was rich and full caramel flavor with hints of saltiness in every bite. The rocher, spot on like the crunchy little chocolatey hazelnut balls wrapped in foil. The "waffle" bowl a delicious crunchy butter waffle flavor and consistency, very good. I visited on a hot weekday afternoon. Their signage proclaims this to be Danish ice cream. I'm not exactly sure what that means. I guess they have locations in Denmark? They pride themselves in finding the best natural ingredients and make ice cream fresh daily. I ordered two scoops in a cup - stracciatella and the second scoop was caramel chocolate brownie chunk...or something like that. I forget the exact name and can't find it listed on the flavor options on their website so maybe it's one they don't normally have. There is only a table or two inside, both of which were occupied, but they have several tables outside so I took a seat outdoors to enjoy my ice cream as I listened to a street musician strum his guitar. The stracciatella had great flavor and a vast number of chocolate chip pieces. The texture was light and creamy. I was quite pleased with this choice. My other scoop had some delicious chunks of brownie throughout. Honestly, I didn't really get a caramel flavor, it was just kind of sweet. Still enjoyable though.
