This place is clean, my girls commented the bathrooms were super clean, the grounds were well manicured. A pool was offered, a mini front office/store, and bingo. You will be assigned a key card to re-enter the grounds, there is a gate at the front with only one road for incoming and outgoing. Owners were very nice. There are a few rules and might sound a little strict but any sensible camper won't have any issues. I can see where the Pocono Speedway could bring in the party people, again I had no issues. We stayed here as were doing Camelback adventures which was conveniently 10 minutes away. 15 min away is a Walmart, CVS. I would stay here again, and cost was reasonable. My site had full hookup.

The staff was friendly and since we have kids were were happy they enforced quiet hours of 10pm. The bathroom was clean and new, however you have to hold the chain to get water. If you do not hold the chain, there is no water so you stand there freezing while you shampoo your hair. We were able to see wildlife and even went fishing. Luckily the pool and playgrounds were open. There is 2 different playgrounds which is exciting for toddlers. They also have a place you can mine for gems, which the kids enjoyed. Unfortunately, due to COvid,some activities were closed, but it seems like there is tons of stuff normally. It does seem to be primarily RVs but that's not a problem for us. We will likely go back next year.

That includes using the restrooms or taking your dog to the dog park. This confinement policy is nowhere on their site and we didn't find out until we read the fine print of the deposit confirmation. You know - AFTER we had paid the $350 deposit for 3 week stay! As soon as we realized we couldn't take our dog to the dog park, we immediately called to cancel the reservation, only a day and a half after we made it. We were planning to leave Texas on the 1st, arrive there on the 3rd and stay until the 24th. It's not fair to the dog to keep him chained up and on leash for two weeks, and the dog park was one of the reasons we chose the place. I called to explain the situation and they did cancel the reservation, but then refused to refund the deposit, because "We've held that site for you". For a day?! And when I tried to explain that had their policy been anywhere on the site we wouldn't have made the reservation in the first place, I was met with attitude, rudeness and then the lady hung up on me! I would have even been happy with a half refund. And I don't even have a problem with the policy! Just tell me before hand so that I know this is something I can't do! This is essentially a bait-and-switch: I paid for something I'm not allowed to use I'm disappointed because we were really looking forward to the trip and the campsite looked great. Before I made the call to their office, I was even planning to go there at some point in the future. But now, between their business practices and flat out rudeness, that's not going to happen. I'm attaching 2 pictures - one is the reservation confirmation with NO mention of the policy and the other is the deposit receipt with first mention of the quarantine policy in fine print at the very bottom of a long email. And I hate that I have to give them any stars at all.

It's next to Hickory Run State Park, where you can hike or cross-country ski, visit a waterfall, or explore the 18-acre boulder field. It was a perfect respite from the hot summer in the city.

Just the two of us but we decided to rent the container for four people. Glad we did, it was just enough space. One thing to keep in mind is they don't provide utensils. Bring your own knife, fork, spoon, plates, cup, etc. The blanket provided is very thin. So either turn the heat on, or bring your own. Broken/missing blind from the window. Water was leaking frm the shower door. Walked out to a puddle on the floor. There was also a brownish stain in the toilet. It was a rainy weekend when we went. So we ended up having internet and wifi that first and only night only. Called and spoke with someone, was told there's an outage due to weather. The umbrella outside had a hole so didnt help much when we were grilling in the rain.

We stayed for our second time at Hemlock campground and are super happy we found our go to spot to…read morestay in the Poconos! The owners are very friendly and the campsites are excellent. We stayed in an RV spot (#51) which was perfect. Easy back in and plenty of room to hang out outside of the camper. The majority of the campground is heavily shaded by trees which is exactly what you need during summer months. Not to mention you get the full camping experience here vs other campgrounds that clear the trees to pack in as many spots as possible. Although we were only there for a few days the long term RV campers were very friendly to us which made us feel even more welcome. Also the wifi was perfect the entire time we stayed there. This isn't something to take for granted at a campground so it's worth noting and we are thankful for it! Although tent camping isn't our thing anymore we noticed how awesome the tent sites were. They looked spacious and comfortable so based on what we saw I'd recommend tent camping there as well!

Room was smelling of smoke and dog pee. I asked the owner to change the room but she refused to do it with the reason no available cottage right now. Despite all cottacges around were empty. Then we told her that we have no choice but stay(because didn't want to ruin vacation on first day) but also my wife told her that she will write review about smell. Then she turned to angry bird and switched to mood "karen" mode. She and her husband tried to find justification to kick us out from the campground. And they found it. My 13 years old daughter was in a swimming pool and suddenly she approches to us with aggression like: "your daughters lied to me with saying she is almost 14 when she is actually 13. So she can't be in the swimming pool by herself and for that reason we have to leave. After back on forth police came and told us that the business owner doesn't want you guys on their property so leave. So again, first day and they asked us to leave in middle of the night with two kids(5 and 13). She said going to refund all amount and I didn't argue at the beginning tried to be nice and deescalate the situation but barbara openly said that she doesn't like my wife and will not let her stay here. Wow... she really was a mean to us promised to refund but after packed up she hide behind a closed doors and didn't even want to take the key )) Long story short every bad review about rudeness of these people are true. This business with this behavior's should go out of the business very soon.

On the other hand, because of so much COVID-related isolation, quarantine and fear, it was refreshing to be in a place where that fear was not present. You could hear the laughter and jovial conversations of neighbors as well as children running and playing together. 1 big con for us was that the showers were only open 2 hours in the morning (9-11 AM) and 2 hours in the afternoon (5-7 PM). We wake up early and shower every morning before our 6 AM meditation but since the water was off in the morning we had to resort to "birdie bathing" in the sink. And even then, they did not turn on the water one afternoon and we were there waiting in the bathroom for 30 min until one of us finally told the employees to turn it on. They said that the person on duty must've forgotten...It was 5:30 by then. The limited hours is annoying, I would recommend extending them and also being punctual and responsible with turning the water on so that you don't have a bunch of dirty campers lined up outside of the bathroom to use the shower. Overall, the experience was positive and the environment was relaxing. We enjoyed our stay and it was a worthwhile visit because we had first-time campers with us. That being said, I would probably not visit again. Been there done that.

I am revising to clarify my original 2 star rating after a question about our experience. We are in a 45 ft 2015 RV towing a vehicle. The gal at check in sent us up to a close area where we never should have been for our size. We then called the desk and they sent people to help us get back out of the area and brought us down to the lake where there was one spot left and was sufficient. Point is that we were lucky not to damage property and someone should have known better at the desk. I will give the park a 5+ star rating for being great for smaller campers, tents, kids, etc. Clean and obviously the owners care about their park. Educate the desk employees. If we had agreed to the spot we were first sent to, the neighbors' fire pit would have been burning under one of our slide outs. Impossible situation. A great spot for families in smaller accommodations or tents.

There is no cross-ventilation, and the tin sidings of this structure absorb the heat, and the room is unbearably warm. Also, the heat from the kitchen adds to the discomfort. The Park provides two large industrial fans, but unfortunately, offer little help, and they are loud. Perhaps some modification can be done to accommodate the season and with that​ more rental opportunities!
