It had been about 6 years since we had our wooden-sided house painted and we live in a fully wooded shady area where mildew loves to grow. Andrew did a great job washing the siding. I've had one…read moreother deep clean before from a different service, and let me just say, Oak Hill Cleaning blew the other service's cleaning out of the water! They cleaned so much more than I expected them to...they cleaned things I had forgotten existed in my house! lol They came and saw our house a week before the cleaning to quote us a single price for the cleaning (they don't charge by the hour; they charge by the job). The price they quoted is what I paid, and I absolutely got my money's worth! They moved everything around to get under things, to clean shelves, all of it. The last cleaning service I used did not move anything; I had spent hours moving all of our appliances and any objects that might impede cleaning on to our tables -- so they didn't clean our tables. But, Oak Hill's owners told me not to do that for them. I decluttered, of course, but they moved all of my appliances around and even took things off shelves to clean the shelving and then put it all back! It was quite strange for me, because I had to come home before they were finished, so I walked in to my house in clutter chaos as they moved what they needed to move... I went upstairs, and when I came down as they were leaving, my whole house was just as I left it! Why can't I clean this well?! Will absolutely use again and already recommending them to others!

I reached out and worked with Don, who was able to give me a quote based on measurements and pictures without forcing me to schedule an appointment and sit through a sales pitch. As a working mom I loved that! Chris (owner) also followed up offering to answer any questions. After getting quotes, I decided to go with Care Contracting because of their reputation (I was referred by a colleague who used and lived them), price, license, and warranty. After letting Don know I wanted to move forward, he scheduled someone to come out for measurements so that my doors could be custom made. Doors took about 5 weeks from measurements to when they were ready for install (also over the holidays and snowstorms--actual times are likely faster, but we had told them we weren't in a rush). Install day came and they sent clear instructions to make it smooth (remove furniture and items from the area, including curtains and rods). A small team showed up, did a quick walkthrough, and confirmed everything was correct and before they started work. They then worked quickly and cleanly--didn't even have to remove the interior trim which saved me time and paint! I had been looking for someone local, and established, to power wash my 2-story home. Last year I saw Buena Vista's truck put didn't get the number. This year I caught them in the parking lot and asked for a quote. That evening, I received a very complete quote via text. They (Briggitte and Bryan) arrived on-time with a text prior to arrival. We did a walk-around to confirm what would be done and they got to it. Several hours later the job was complete. I was very impressed with how clean they were able to get the back patio. Before they came, I personally wiped down all cabinets, had cleaned most baseboards within the last several weeks, did a full house cleaning in the week before, and steam cleaned my carpet. However, I wanted the move out cleaning nonetheless because there was a tight time frame for the move out. I thought it would be helpful. They knew the size of my house and how many bathrooms. I was told 3 hours likely and no more than 3 1/2 hours if it required extra cleaning. Since it was in good overall shape given the detailed cleaning I already did, I thought the 3 hours was more likely and told them that. It instead took over 4 hours (more like 4 /12) and I was billed additional funds. I also checked on the house 2/3rds into the original time estimate and most of the house had not yet been touched at all yet in the cleaning. I do also think that 3 hours was a reasonable up front time estimate for the size and condition of the house. Move out is a vulnerable time. I was disappointed in having this experience on an important day.

I recently hired Basha again, this time to do my bathroom countertops, and was very disappointed in the quality. The price was also not as good as the first time. As others have mentioned, it was difficult to get Basha to call me back. When I finally managed to schedule a time to meet with him at his office, he was almost 30 minutes late. To his own office! (And I use the word "office" loosely, because it was pretty disgusting - covered with dust and litter, and even coffee spills on the floor that had never been wiped up.) The granite itself wasn't cut to the right size. The 4 inch backsplash was shorter than the countertop itself, so they don't line up. The backsplash is also too short (height-wise), so when the installers first put it in, there was a 1 cm gap between the top of the backsplash and the bottom of the bathroom mirror. I complained, and 15 minutes later, the installers magically "fixed" the problem so the backsplash lined up with the mirror. It was only after I paid them and looked under the countertop that I realized what a shoddy fix it was. They literally found 3 splinters of wood, and stuck it under 3 spots on the countertop. So now there's a 1 cm gap UNDER the countertop - between the countertop and the wood cabinet. They didn't even bother caulking the gap so it was less noticeable.

At one point I genuinely thought I was being scammed. When the work was finally done it was rushed, performed by an unauthorized sub without my knowledge, and used the cheapest consumer-grade products available despite contracting for professional-grade work. The contracted preparation method was skipped entirely. An authorized add-on was billed for, never completed, and a fraudulent receipt was submitted as proof of work that was never done. Work I had explicitly declined in writing was performed anyway without authorization or agreed upon price. I was lied to about worker availability, the products being used and the scope of what was completed. Do not hire this contractor.
