4 stars for originality. One burger cost me more than a Chipotle burrito, however it was huge and tasty. Definitely a unique cheeseburger, eclectic interior, extremely friendly waitstaff. Worth it one time for the experience, but i would rather get a double double for 3 bucks from in n out and be just as happy. the angry complaints about wait time and quality are really not accurate, if they are busy, good for them and you are gonna wait more time. Do not expect a gourmet 5 star burger, but expect a burger joint experience you have never seen. I had their cheeseburger (or Squeezeburger) and aside from the ridiculous amount of cheese, it was just an average American burger. All the excess cheese looked good but really it was just burnt-tasting cheddar cheese (I say burnt-tasting because it didn't look burned but it tasted like it). I don't get it..... I have been waiting to eat here since all the hype about the cheese skirt, since that nut job Guy Fieri rolled into town and sung its praises, and all the publicity about how amazing the burger is. Seriously!? The cheese skirt was flat out disgusting from my standpoint. I guess I expected a more rich, sharp cheddar flavor. Instead it was this strange half gummy / chewy salt bomb with that distinct taste of grill / grease grime. I couldn't even tell I was eating cheese. Yummm?! WTF? The bun was not my cup of tea. Extremely fresh, awesome. BUT also borderline raw such that it turned into an additional texture offense. I like my bread robust and able to stand up to a little drippings. By the time I finished the burger, it was slimy and nastified. The meat tasted fine, not especially cooked with precision. Mine was well on its way to well done and was starting to get rubbery yet still it had a decent amount of moisture. Produce was decent, application of condiments was reasonable. The fries were bad, over fried to a dark brown and again tasted like burnt oil. Perhaps the original location was a more legit experience but my perspective is this is an over hyped burger shop because of its kitschy cheese skirt non sense. This was my first and last time coming here. The price is extremely high. The fries were mediocre and the burger was nothing to rave about. Their only claim to fame is the gut busting grilled cheese skirt. I felt 70 percent of my burger was bread from the huge bun they put on. From start to finish: rude service, way too expensive ($45 for 2 people without any "extras") then we had to clean our own table, even though they weren't even that busy. Plenty of workers could have done that! Then when we asked for a box for our fries, we were again reminded of how unhappy the workers were when we not only received attitude for asking for a to go container, but then a paper bag for our leftovers. I ended up paying $20 after it all with tax and a small tip. Burger looks great, luciky I got so much extras that it hid the plainness of the patty. The burgers were pretty good, however, if you have heard that you will have to wait a while to receive your food, it is true. Although, the staff is constantly working and cooking, it still takes about 40 minutes for 3 burgers and orders of fries. Ordered a cheeseburger with the cheese skirt and it was nothing short of amazing, I was so impressed! From a first glance at the uber 90's decor it didn't really seem like anything too special. However, the food and service were stellar. I went with a friend who had been there before and we decided to share a burger since they are on the big side. When the woman taking orders heard us talking about sharing she told us she would cut it in half without us having to ask which was nice. When it was ready another woman brought it out to our table, it was cut in half with each half in a separate paper tray. She was very friendly and asked us if there was anything she could bring or do for us. Another thing that I was very impressed by was the house made jalapeno ketchup! It was spicy and paired wonderfully with the salted french fries we ordered. The best burger in town, no way. OK at best if you don't mind a wait. Get there before 11:20 AM and you might find a seat and eat by noon. Burger meat is nothing special, grilled and juicy, straight out of the cryovac, somewhat better if the cook remembers to dust the batch on the grill w/ seasoning. Buns and produce are fresh. Fries are nothing special. I guess everyone should try it once to say they have been there. Anyone who says they aren't impressed is ridiculous- the food is a little expensive, but that's b/c it's awesome! Recently had the privilege to partake in the The Squeeze Inn's cheeseburger w/the famous cheese skirt w/the Irish Mallet. He has savored the fried cheese deliciousness in the past and had yet to try.
