One of my favorite Mexican spots in the Roseville/Sacramento area. Good prices and always delicious!

I was in need for a genuine taco fix, and decided to give Barrios Kitchen a shot for the first time since it was relatively close. I arrived to the taco truck with a few others already parked awaiting their orders a little after 3PM. I wasn't sure how to order but observed they had a QR code posted on their truck, scanned through the menu and ended up getting the 2 Carne asada plate. I received my order a little over 5 min later - very reasonable price. When I got home and tried it, boy was I happy I went here! The tacos itself had a distinct taste I'm not normally used to with "authentic taco trucks" but it was so good that I plan to visit here regularly from now on and WILL be ordering more than just the 2. I only wish their servings were a bit larger but for the price, I shouldn't be picky. I also really enjoyed the red and green salsa - red was very spicy and green was flavorful. 100% I'll be back - sooner rather than later! read more

We love having this crave-worthy food truck parked in the area. It's become one of our go-to spots. Ordering online is easy with a record of past orders. If you order in person, there are chairs to sit & wait in some shade. We are always met with friendly, accommodating customer service. Our favorites are a Super Shrimp Burrito (the chipotle sauce is so good!) with an addition of meat, a Super Burrito with Adobada (meat is so tender & flavorful), & a Crispy Carne Asada Taco that little one eats up. Freshly fried chips are available & we always add on a bag when we show up. We enjoy their salsas as well. A Chile Relleno Burrito is sometimes available, but we haven't had good timing yet. Sometimes the dust kicks up, but that's a small price to pay for the deliciousness & great service of this food truck. read more

Burritos, chimichangas, tacos (including birria, shrimp, and fish), taquitos, nachos, quesadillas, beans and rice . . . all good. It's being a while since I found a good Mexican food truck that remind me one of my favorite food trucks in Bay Area. I ordered, Quesabirria- the flavors are wonderful, but wish it had more meat and cheese. But overall it was very delicios. Tacos- carne asada and al pastor - my favorites l, very authentic. The meat was super tender and savory. Carne asada super burrito- it was good, but mainly rice. I didn't see much sour cream or guacamole. For me it was more like a regular burrito than a super. Special plate- 6 crispy carnitas tacos- very delicious . Carnitas were very tender. Plus their salsas ... yum! They were very fast after you put an order in. We were craving breakfast burritos so we decided to give this place a try! We ordered the California burritos as they come with fries inside. I got the adobado (based on a review rec) and he had the chicken based on what the employee recommended on the phone. He said his chicken was very flavorful and tender--one of the best breakfast burritos he has had. Unfortunately my pork was very dry and bland..I pulled it out in order to enjoy the burrito. Maybe it wasn't fresh or was a bad batch. The salsas were flavorful. Based on my husbands experience, I'm giving this place another try but will stay away from the adobado next time. read more

Hands down the BEST Mexican food we have ever eaten! The fish tacos are to die for! So fresh, crispy, and delish. We also love the shrimp fries and carniatas tacos. I ordered the carne asada super burrito and two soft carnitas tacos. The burrito was one of the better ones in the area. It had a nice balance of ingredients so nothing in the burrito was too prevalent (e.g. too much sour cream, too much meat, etc.). The carne asada was a bit too gristle-y for my taste so I'd probably pass on that meat and go with carnitas instead. The carnitas tacos were your typical street tacos, simple but good. The prices are great and the people working were so friendly. I can't say I was wowed by the food but I will say I think it's probably some of the best Mexican food in the area so it's good enough that I will be back to try it again. read more

I finally tried here today afterseeing their truck on Baseline for over a year. I placed an online order and the food was prepped quickly. The price is reasonable and the portion is good! I had 3 different tacos and they were all good. The packaging for takeout tacos was not great so they were smashed tho. The buritto was packed but just okay. I would try their tacos again but right there on the spot, so they will be nice and fresh. read more

It's a great experience and pretty much the best you can get from a taco truck. It's real, authentic Mexican food. I love the chicken and the carne asada. I would recommend calling ahead because it can get a little busy. They are not open during heavy rain. read more

I will always go out of my way to try a new taco truck or stand especially if its got good reviews and the food looks legit, I just happened to be in the Roseville/Rocklin area with a couple of hours to kill and an empty stomach, so I was sitting in a parking lot looking for something good. And to be honest I wasn't even looking for tacos, but tacos found me! Even though it looks like it inland and would take some time to get there, its really not. Super easy to get to and hard to miss, its sitting on the side of the road in front of a field. I was excited, this is the kind of place I like. At new places, I like to get a feel for how the meats and flavors or in their simplest forms, and to me thats the taco, tortilla, meat, and some onions with cilantro. You can tell a lot on about a place just with tacos, is the meat going to be dry? is it going to be bland? chewy? The meat sets the tone for every other menu item. So I usually get a good variety of tacos, before I dig in I take a little bit of meat from each taco and try it on its own before its covered up with salsa and onions. I ended up with quesabirra, carne asada, pollo, abodoba, and carnitas. the birria taco was a little thin on the meat and cheese side, but the meat was moist and had that good birria stew flavor, I wish there was a little bit more to it but it was a good way to start of the sampler. next up was the carne asada, the meat was nice and tender and also had good flavor, the pollo was on par with the carne asada also, they used some good seasoning to make it stand out and not get lost, but the stand outs were the abodoba and the carnitas, if I wasn't already getting full I would of gotten a couple more of the last 2! I have noticed that some taco trucks and stands have started to raise their prices but the quality of the food doesn't justify the prices, I am happy to say that Barrios was priced well and the quality and flavor is better than a lot of the more expensive places I have been to. Would I go back? 100%! I am now looking forward to finding myself in that area again, and hopefully sooner than later. read more

I've been stopping at this place off and on for the past year. The food is always fresh and made with love! Today, I wanted a challenge. I ask for a spicy chorizo breakfast burrito. The gentleman taking my order asked if I wanted jalapeños. Yes! He then asked if I wanted Diablo sauce. Of course!! We'll see how it feels coming out tomorrow. When they handed me the burrito, they warned me about the dice level and said to have a Coke nearby. Lol. By far the best breakfast burrito in a long time! The ambience is welcoming and unassuming. This place is so good! Super fresh and tasty. It's nice because it's fast- pull up get what you want and leave or eat there. I got regular street tacos because I was in a rush and they gave me the green and red sauce. SO good. Can't wait to try other food. They have quite a variety and a large menu. Every single time I come up to this food truck I'm greeted with smiles, the smell of amazing and authentic Mexican food, and prices lower than the other Mexican restaurants in the are by DOLLARS, the breakfast burrito is huge and to die for, the nachos actually have nacho cheese, and the quesadillas are practically sliced by lasers and come with onions and cilantro. I have had such amazing experiences at Barrios over the last couple years, it's been nothing short of great. The family that runs this location are top notch. Everyone is always so friendly. I am so glad they have been successful here. Everything from the breakfast burritos to the plated combinations are great. The 6 pack carnitas hard shell tacos are a staple for me. Now, when I walk up to order one of the sons says, 6 pack of tacos? lol. I guess I go here too much. Either way check them out. Food here rocks. We have been here twice. The first time I had shrimp tacos, they were delicious. Husband had Birria tacos with consommé, he also loved it. This time I had Camerones a la Cora. I got medium spiciness. There was enough food for 2 lunches. The shrimp were succulent and tender. It is served with rice, beans and tortillas. Husband got a burrito, he also had enough for 2 meals.
