I come here when I want to feel frustrated lol All jokes aside, this place is very inconsistent. First experience, I asked what was the difference between the Okinawa and the Hokkaido. There were no descriptions of the drinks - no ingredients listed. The girl proceeds to give me a history lesson of Okinawa and Hokkaido. I thank her, but then ask again what is the difference in the drinks and she doesn't understand me. Another girl comes over and says one is sweeter than the other. I chose the less sweet one. Next time I go back, I order the same beverage. Now I taste coconut. This girl tells me there is coconut milk in the drink. Well, I can't drink coconut milk and almost panic... My husband orders his drink and every time we go - he orders the same drink and it is made a different way each time. One girl says it has brown sugar, the other guy says its caramel...we both don't know if it's brown sugar or caramel - it depends on who is working. So...there is a big language barrier, the service is spotty, and the menu does not list the ingredients in the drinks lol They have a huge space and offer Karaoke and game night - I have not been to either. The drinks are good, but be warned you may not received the same drink when you return. Also, be careful if you have an allergy because they may serve you something you're allergic to. read more

Apparently this place has been here for a couple of years now but I never really noticed it. So glad I took the chance to stop in! The selection of coffee/tea was great. They had regular coffees, a variety of boba options, and also milk teas and even thai tea! I will definitely have to go back to try the thai tea but it was a super chilly morning so that was not in the cards on this visit. I tried the macha coffee on a whim and it was even better than I expected. I will have to go back and try the food options also. This is a great space with some tables and a back room that would make a good space to work quietly, play some board games or work in a group. The staff were also super friendly. One caveat is that this is not going to be your super quick coffee stop. Things are certainly made with care and take a bit of time. That said, definitely stop in and check it out!! read more

I'm obsessed with Lala Bean & Green Cafe. It's pretty much everything I look for at a cafe. Good selection of drinks and something savory and sweet to eat. It's also clean, with lots of parking and space to sit that I never have to worry about not having space to sit and chill. Great family feel staff! It's also open early in the morning everyday and stays open til evening time! I also think the place is so affordable! You can get a combo drink and a sandwich, bagel, sweet for just $8. What more? They have a frequent customer card that gives you perks every 5 drinks. I have no idea how this place stays open with so many nice things for it's customers..I only wish it stays open so I can continue to stop by here to relax for a long time! read more

The first thing I noticed though when walking in was the bright, comforting atmosphere. There is so much space for meetings or study groups, events like Karaoke on weekends, and a relaxing area with massage tables. I ordered a honeydew smoothie. It was creamy and only had 4 ingredients: honeydew, apples, ice, and almond milk! So healthy and delicious!! The hostess was so friendly, showing me around and talking with excitement over the things they have in the works like partnerships with local artists, BBQ nights, and much more. Lala Cafe is a boba and coffee shop located on Montgomery and San Pedro. The inside is a large space - plenty of room for larger groups and a pleasant area overall for casual hangouts. The boba was quite good and available in a variety of sweetness levels. My taro milk tea was perfect at 25% sweetness. My wife ordered a latte which was made well. They have a variety of non-dairy options such as almond and oat milk. They have a few baked goods and sandwiches available but we did not try them. The service was overall good, although they did get one of our drink orders wrong. I would definitely return and get some more tea from this store! read more

Happy and surprised with the interior of the café, which is spacious and there's room between the tables so that you can have your own space while enjoying your coffee. There's also a back area that is separated off so you could study and not have to deal with noise. They have a large selection of coffees and tea, and you know fru-fru drinks. Went here for the first time on a weekday morning. Absolutely lovely location with so much thought put into the details. Perfect for sitting with my friend. The americano was fantastic, as was the cheesecake. Very kind staff. There's lots and lots of seating, so we didn't feel rushed. This seems perfect for so many reasons. The coffee is good, but I don't think I will return. I was excited about this place when I first discovered it, but that didn't last for long. For one thing, I never know how much I will be charged for a cup of coffee with cream there. It has been as low as $2, and as high as $4.50. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it, just purely random. Secondly, the staff is VERY aggressive when it comes to upselling things. You can tell them you're not hungry. You can tell them you just ate. Will that stop them from making yet another attempt at upselling you on something? Absolutely not, and this made me both angry and uncomfortable last time I was in. Another thing I want to touch on is their massage chairs. They're very nice chairs, and the rates are reasonable. However, I have found that I can't relax and enjoy a massage there. Why? Because the owner stares at me the whole time I am in the chair which makes me feel uncomfortable and gives me creepy vibes. So, if you're seeking a massage chair, I recommend the malls. Even with hoards of people walking by, you're far more likely to feel at ease. read more
