This used to be a great place for the buck but we hadn't been there in about a year cuz we moved away but now we came back and they changed the menu and up to prices on everything and including the complementary bimini bread you used to get for free. The scallops where very good, I am a minimalist when I cook, so everything was cooked well I just like less is more. Interesting venue. It's a building hanging over the water. We were lucky enough to get seats right at the edge, so we could see boaters coming and going. And fish in the very clear water. A bit crowded inside but not uncomfortable. The free appetizer (through Yelp! Yay!) was fish fingers. They were delicious. A huge shareable serving of delicately battered and fried fish strips served with cocktail sauce and tartar sauce. Unfortunately that was the best part of the meal. I had fried shrimp. The shrimp were barely larger than popcorn shrimp and nothing to write home about. Came with seasoned fries. I would have asked for no seasoning if they had been listed that way. Hubby's grouper was very fishy, unlike most other grouper, which is usually mild and white. His came with homemade potato chips. They were cold and dry. Maybe we just ordered wrong. So I finally made my way to the famous Squid Lips and my expectations were high based off some reviews I've read. The atmosphere was great and ofcourse since I have this serious fetish for calamari, I'm surprised I hadn't come here sooner! Lol! Well I ordered the deep fried squid~afterall it's one of my favorite things to eat and was scrumptious to say the least, just not the best but good. BUT they brought my Cuban sandwich out first and it was just so so, nothing special. The good now, since we ordered two sandwiches and by checking into Yelp, we got a free appetizer! Great deal. Not impressed in the least bit. The menu is very limiting with the majority of the fish being what I call "junk" fish - Swai fish, seriously, it's a restaurant near the ocean and they serve that junk. Of course you can upgrade to grouper for $33 for a small square block of fish rolled in cornflakes and fried. I thought the place was so dirty. I did not even want to touch the menus. They were sticky and dirty. The place was not busy and as we were leaving some guy was telling people they were closing early and it was only 8:15pm. Stopped at the Sebastian Squid Lips location for 2 drinks, ordered NO food. Though the bartenders were nice, upon cashing out we noticed a 3.00% service charge on our bill. We were told this was a charge in order to give the kitchen staff a bonus at year end, AGAIN we ordered NO food, just 2 drinks. One drink was a specialty drink that was to come in a souvenir cup with the Squid Lips logo. An extra $2.00 charge was added to our bill, though there was no logo on this plain plastic cup. We questioned the bartender and were told they were out of logo cups but still charged us the $2.00 regardless. Very disappointed and will not return. read more

We arrived around 7:30 and we didn't have to wait. We had a party of 7 and we were very well accommodated. All of us got a different entree and we tried many different things on the menu. Their seafood pastas were very good, as well as their fish fingers. After dinner we had their banana pudding and chocolate cake. If you are between the 2 for a dessert the banana pudding is a better choice. The seating is area is pretty cool and a great place to watch the sunset. read more

Really pretty spot in Sebastian. We came with 4 adults, 3 kids, and a baby. I repeatedly requested a high chair and they told me the restaurant only had 3 high chairs and all three were in use. By the time we had a high chair to use I was 3/4 finished with my meal. They were out of Mahi as well as several other menu items. My friend and I ordered stuffed flounder and it was pretty good. My stepmother had a crab cake sandwich that looked really good. Their bread was delicious. Service was just okay. When I asked what this extra charge was, I was told that it's a gratuity for the kitchen staff! WTF. A mandatory tip for the kitchen staff?! Other restaurants don't do this BS! Squid Lips in Sebastian is over the water. One walks down a pier to the restaurant. It has a nice atmosphere and some seating outdoors. However, I'm vegan and the only thing on its menu that I could eat was a salad. So if I go back it will be only to sit over the water and have a drink. read more

We do live 45 mins away but it's a great family putting specially since it's on the water. It's beautiful , clean and the staff is always excellent. This spot is serving meals and in house seating. We opted for take away and went to a nearby park to enjoy our repast. It was fresh, hot, and generous in portion size. The fried shrimp was excellent with quite enough to satisfy my hungry appetite. The fries were great but more than I could handle alone. The crusted fish sandwich was also hot and very tasty and came with potato chips. Overall a great value for the price, which I initially thought high until I saw what we got. Well worth it. I started off with the Conch Fritters and they weren't my favorite but they were good!!! For my meal I took my waiter Jeff's recommendation of the scallops. Pleasantly surprised by this overwater seafood restaurant: we enjoyed our cocktails, the coconut onion chips, clam strips basket and the key west combo, as well as the drunken sweet potato...I'll be dreaming of that potato. After several days of chilly weather it was lovely to sit by the water in the sun for our midday dining experience, watching the birds and boats. Relaxed atmosphere. Ample parking. There was a long wait for large parties but our party of two was seated quickly at lunchtime on Saturday. And Sparkle was a wonderful server. We will be back. read more

Awful!! Everything was awful, from the Steamed Mussels that half weren't opened, to the Conch Chowder that had absolutely not one piece of conch in it.
