    Stuffed mushrooms

The server was amazing. I wish I could pronounce his name, but I can't. He always had a smile and was exceptionally polite. My husband had the bowl of black bean soup with sour cream and tortilla strips and andouille sausage. He gave me a bite and it was delicious. I had the florentine stuffed mushrooms. They were amazing. Five huge mushrooms, with a salad was so fulfilling. The music they were was just instrumental Christmas music which was so calming and beautiful. We enjoyed our lunch so much.

Shrimp and scallops linguine. I love that the shrimp don't have the shell on the tails! Just ready to eat!

Our favorite restaurant in the area. A wonderful outdoor patio with umbrellas and twinkling lights. Top notch knowledgeable servers and of course an excellent choice of marvelous dishes. A bit expensive but worth it!

Citron is tucked away nicely in the Village Shops on A1a, and has plenty outdoor seating, most of it shaded by umbrellas. Not the cheapest but the quality of the food is overall good, and the setting is worth the extra bit. As to their menu: if you are vegan you can get a salad and that's about it. No vegan desserts except the sorbet, which they had run out of. The salad was good but I wouldn't expect some wilted leaves at a place like this, and a bit more creativity would not be misplaced. Service was good.

We really like this place for lunch and plan on trying dinner some time. The service and food are always great.

This is our new favorite restaurant in Vero Beach! It was so quaint and in an unexpected location. It's important to know that they don't have a bar. We went early, thinking we would have a drink at the bar before our dinner reservations. They were so kind and set up a table for us outside to have drinks before our reservations inside. I actually loved sitting outside because they had the trees all lit up and it was just lovely. Our waiter was fantastic! He let me taste a few wines before choosing which one I was going to have and was happy to do it . He also gave perfect pours! There were so many things on the menu I wanted to try and so many unique preparations. I was happy there was four of us so we could all share and Taste each other's food. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend the shrimp and grits. There were so many different flavors going on in that dish and it was so delicious and comforting. ( and I don't even like grits!) my husband had something similar. He ordered the special of the evening, which was mushroom risotto with garlic, shrimp, and spinach. His was good, but mine was better! My sister-in-law ordered the salmon that was flavored with a bacon, jam and red pepper sauce. This dish was very unique and the salmon was delicious. It was a huge portion. My brother-in-law ordered the fish of the day, which was Mahi . That is one fish that I don't love so I did not try his but he had a nice big portion and it came with steamed vegetables and rice. He said he enjoyed it very much. We started with the crab dip and it was delicious! My husband and I split the pizza salad with citrus and goat cheese and I wish I could eat that every day! That one's a must order. The other couple split the pear salad and loved that one as well. The food here is particularly special. I wanted to compliment. The chef and our waiter told me it was the sous chef cooking that evening. Whoever the sous chef was, he is truly gifted. This is definitely a foodie's restaurant! If you find yourself in Vero Beach and truly love food, this is your restaurant! 10/10

    Duck with blueberry sauce

Excellent, nice decor and friendly staff! Ate dinner here recently and had a very nice experience. As far as food goes, the conch fritters were delicious. I had never had conch before, and they were very fresh and had a nice heat to them. For dinner we got the steak frites and duck with blueberry sauce. A lot of places can cook a steak medium rare, but rarely do they make fries worth really digging into. The Parmesan fries that came with the steak were super crispy and delicious. The duck was great too, though a smidge overdone. For dessert, the blueberry bread pudding was phenomenal. Truly one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. Very much recommend this spot!

Great Place - We thought we found a secret gem because it's sort of off the beaten path and not very big....BUT....the locals ALL know about it and keep it hopping! The outside seating area is so large we had no idea the whole courtyard would fill up with happy people! Lovely staff and good service -but a bit slow and leisurely ( which worked for us). We split everything and we have been here twice. So the two of us have tried 2 salads, one soup, two deserts and three mains o we the past few months and each dish is delicious.the shrimp n grits deserves special mention as does the blueberry bread pudding!!! Good place!!!

We have been coming to Vero Beach for over 20 years and we just discovered this place. Before it was just open for breakfast and lunch now they're open for dinner. When we got there we were surprised by how many seats were outside. It was a really nice set up even when it was dark out. I wish we ate outside instead my reservations were for inside. They don't serve cocktails and the wine list was very expensive. The bottle of wine that we got is normally around $12 in the store and it was almost 50 to purchase. The beer menu was limited as well. The waiter didn't rush us, some might say service was slow. Since we placed our appetizer, then waited, ate it and then placed our entrée we missed out on what we wanted to have. We placed our order for the special, but then he came back and said that they were out of it, and we need to order some thing else. The waiter was very apologetic. My mom and Husband wanted the steak Frites and they were lucky enough that they were able to get it. He said that there was only a few left. It seems that it's a limited menu, so I recommend not going too late. The waiter was very nice and was working really hard. The food was good, not great. I really enjoyed the shrimp bruschetta appetizer, but the meals we felt were something we can make it home.

Pompano fish special with garlic mashed potatoes & roasted veggie

Ambiance was nice it felt great outside. The service was good but very slow we got to the "almost hangry" stage but it all paid off with wonderful food. The white chocolate espresso crème brûlée was amazing!! We got the Mahi special as well as the Pompano white fish and both were delish!

We sat outside to eat and it was busy, but were able to get seated fairly quickly. Our service was amazing! I am saying 5 overall for our service, main dishes, salad and Mac and cheese. All were really good. The only place that fell short was the guac and chips. Chips were not homemade by even a local shop and guac was not chunky fresh. I am a guac lover though so I'm a tough sell when it's not authentic or close to it. Swordfish was absolutely amazing, my husband enjoyed his steak, the pear salad was a perfect blend of flavors and the Mac was so good. I'd definitely eat here again, just would skip the guac.

Do you provide outside dining as I have a small dog and leaving him in the car is not an option?

I believe they do have outside seating but I'd call to ask about your dog.

*INITIAL REVIEW*…read more Today, my family and I celebrated Mother's Day given the fact one of my sisters and I would be too busy to celebrate it on the actual day. Ergo, we made a trip down to Vero Beach and had fun at both McKee Botanical Gardens and the Vero Beach Museum of Art (VBMA), both which got stellar reviews by me in the past. In between both locales, we were hungry and needed to eat someplace local. I had some suggestions, but my mom was in the mood for seafood. As a suggestion from reviews, The Crab Stop of Vero Beach was ultimately decided upon. I have to say, I am happy this restaurant was suggested because it is very good. Even though an address is provided, The Crab Spot of Vero Beach (which I will shorthand simply to Crab Spot for the remainder of this review) is located on the southside of the entryway into Royal Palm Place, one of the many extensions leading out into the water near US-1, but this one is known for the Royal Palm Park at the end. Initial display, decor, and ambiance has the stereotypical local dive bar look with elements showcasing they specialize in seafood, and the little bits of rustic flaws adds a bit of character for what they are. I would not expect such a look for a high-end restaurant, but this works for a local place on the river. The chairs squeeked, the table wobbled a bit in which the waitress fixed with some coasters, and the plates were chipped. No problem at all. There was even outdoor seating in the back bar-style which gives you a nice view of the canal that leads to the river. It was high sun, so we opted for the air conditioning. Now we move on to the food. I have to say that the majority of our food was really good, and when you adjusted to what you are eating, it was top-notch. Key word, however, is the "majority." The good: the hush puppies basket as you get 10 hush puppies that are lightly-seasoned with 1000 island sauce. If you eat one, it is probable you might think it is light on seasoning. However, they are small and finishing all 10 won't be a problem. The flavor builds with each hush puppy, which was smartly done compared to what most seafood places do: give you like two to five hush puppies of large size and high flavoring. The wings, however, used a hot sauce that was mostly vinegar. This ruined the wings for me, and if my stepdad ordered 20, he'd be eating the majority of them. Everything else was top-notch and delicious. Altogether, my family ordered the Fish and Chips, Mahi Sandwich, Fried Catfish Sandwich, Sea Scallop Snack Pack, and the Crab Cake Dinner. Details for each dish in the pictures. On a sidenote, the restroom was okay as in clean and stocked, but not the best-looking restroom I seen. Maybe the "character" could have not be extended to the restroom. Ultimately, I am giving Crab Stop four out of five stars. I do enjoy a good "mom n' pop" place as I prefer to support local and small, but since this is the only time I went, I can't justify a five-star rating until they prove to be consistent. I will be back as there is another park just south of this business that has geocaches that need to be found AND I may also try to hide a traditional letterbox here. But take note for a local seafood stop, this place is good to go.

It's such a beautiful spot, especially during the holidays when they really go all out with the decorations. The ambiance is hard to beat, and the view alone makes it worth the visit. The food is consistently delicious and well-prepared, although it is definitely on the pricier side. It feels more like a place for a special night out than an everyday dinner. On our most recent visit, the only downside (besides the prices) was that there was a very long wait time to get our food. Still, the setting and overall experience was positive so I wouldn't be against another visit.

It's an unassuming, small, restaurant that is easy to keep driving by, but it has some of the best food we've eaten here. Everything you could want with crispy skin, plenty of meat, and a sticky sauce that is flavorful and not too spicy. The shrimp and grits are the best I have ever eaten, and I've been to many of the landmark restaurants in New Orleans.
