    Bratwurst

Cozy lodge style ambience and friendly staff. The food was great. I tried the bratwurst with fries and my husband ordered the cheddar jalapeño burger with garden patty. My husband loved his burger, he said the veggie patty was really nice and juicy unlike other places where it's usually dry. The bratwurst was grilled to perfection! The fries were crunchy. All in all a great meal and we will be back :)

The best Reuben I've ever had and the soup of the day, which was the most amazing homemade chicken noodle soup.

Great little spot to grab a bite to eat or to bring a large group. We ate on the restaurant side, but the bar side looks very fun. Best Reuben I've ever had and the lady serving us was such a sweetheart.

Starting off, I'm not understanding all these 3 and 4 star reviews with nothing to complain about or mention anything to improve on. So I see it as this restaurant should have a higher rating than yelp presents. The service was great, I believe the owner was our server and he was great. The atmosphere was cozy and warm and clean, that's all I can ask for in a mountain town. I also see some reviews about how the food was just ok or compared to bar food.. honestly some bar food is fire so not sure why that would be a negative comparison. I had a BLT and fries, my husband had the mushroom burger and we both loved our food, he kept talking about it after we left. We both came during the Leavenworth power outage so the power went out right at the end of our meal, the staff handled it all calmly and professionally so all in all it was still a good experience. I also have to add, per one review, we all were treated equally and with respect. I saw lots of different groups and types of people. We also stayed at the motel right next to the restaurant, it was nice, clean and quiet. I definitely recommend both the restaurant and the motel, especially when the hotels at Leavenworth are all overpriced and booked a year in advance.

We went here for Taco Tuesday. You get a choice of 3 ground beef, chicken, or cod tacos. We had the fish and ground beef tacos. They do not come with chips or a side dish. They come with sour cream and salsa. The ground beef was good but our favorite was the fish tacos. The ambiance is cozy and they have a big yard with yard games and a bar area. The margaritas were OK. They were carbonated but still yummy. Service was fast and friendly.

Hole in the wall dive bar with incredible burgers! Their outdoor patio is beautiful! They have games and even live music some nights! Definitely worth a visit!

Nice vibe and cute decor, very friendly service and staff and great breakfast options. We stopped her 2 night on a family trip and everyone loved it.

Great location next to an EV charger. Bumped into the owner who mentioned he just opened an RV resort next door. If you have to pick between the two restaurants on the highway I choose here!

Food was almost cold when we got it. Service was ok. No creamers or salt shaker on the table.

I loved my plate. The Bavarian is a nice savory hearty choice for meat lovers, or for those who have a long eventful day of ahead of them. The potatoes were crunchy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. The portion was huge for me, and I'm not someone with a small appetite. I ended up sharing most of the potatoes with my vegetarian partner, who ordered the avocado toast. Btw, he said the avocado toast was on the smaller side compared to the Bavarian, and it was actually perfect paired with another plate of sweet toast. The French toast was tasty too. I also ended up taking a few bites of it in between my Bavarian plate. In short, this is a lovely breakfast spot with friendly staff, reasonable prices, and generous portions. It's a place worth visiting again.

The grilled potato's were crispy and smoky filled with grilled bacons' meaty aroma. Grilled mushrooms were smoky and tender. If the over easy egges could have been cooked less would be better. The honey butter mixture was not overly sweet, the butter and honey perfectly mixed together as a great topping for the crispy outside and tender inside waffles. They offered maple syrup on the side as well. The Irish coffee was filled with the aroma of the Irish whiskey but not overpowering by it. It was a great blend. The server was so friendly, hospitable, helpful, totally recommend you!

Wow does this place need some help! I am so sad to write this review because this place was a…read morestaple in our book for so long, but today was bad enough that I am sure we will not come back. The wait here has always been long due to the size of the place, but today it was due to poor training and staffing. We walked in and these two girls are shouting at guests they are the only people working today and there is going to be a wait. Of course I sympathize. A few small tables are sat quickly but everyone else is told to wait. A party of 6 told them they were on a schedule and the waitresses told them it was fine. Being a small group we got sat, but there was a lobby FULL of people who stood there while we ate our whole breakfast. There were about 5 open tables but the waitresses didn't try to bus them and were running around like crazy and returning to the kitchen time and again empty handed. Eventually they shouted to the waiting area of people they were going to bus the whole restaurant (seriously) and seat everyone at once. Obviously no training here at all because the kitchen must have had no orders for 30-45mins and all of a sudden are going to get hit with a whole restaurant of orders at once so now the wait worsens - what a mess. The table of 6 that arrived at the same time as us was sat as we were finishing, but we never served. They left un-fed after an hour and a half. The food was fine but there was no excuse for the wait (forgot to mention this is a Monday at like 10:30 so not a breakfast or lunch rush happening, also not a weekend). This place has always been a dive and totally falling apart in regards to decor but it was forgivable because the food was good. I feel bad for writing this because those poor girls were working hard but they are completely untrained and the place was understaffed. There are SO MANY fantastic new restaurants in Leavenworth they are really going to have to step up their game to survive!!

Decorated like your grandma's kitchen - no real theme, save for just stuff on the walls - not usually a big deal for me, but for some reason it was super distracting. Staff was friendly and they were constantly on the circuit with coffee warm-ups and water. Half and half are in the tiny containers - can I get my half and half in a dispenser please. Traditional breakfasts - heavy, buttery, greasy, meaty and decent portions. The food was good - but nothing really stood out. I had the chicken fried steak and the gravy was bland - no spice, or even a hint of pepper. For a waffle haus - the waffles were a bit soggy and didn't have that crisp which really holds syrup. But hey - if you are looking for some chow - then this is a decent spot.
