First visit to this dental office and prior to arrival, they verified my insurance and provided an estimate for the extraction and bone graph procedures of $600 -co-pay. After 2.5 hours of butchering my gum they handed me a bill for $675, which was $75 more than they quoted. I was nausea and felt dizzy from the slaughtering of my gum but they pushed me out of office anyway. My mouth hurt for 2 whole weeks. Month later they invoiced me for another $780 because they miscalculated the services and insurance verification. NEVER go there and consider visiting them for service!! read more

Dr. Brown is an amazing dentist. She knows ALL of her patients and asks about their families and remembers all the details. She cares. I trust her because I know she has my health as her first priority. She will also work with you when developing a treatment plan. Dr. Brown will deliver all news (good and not so good) in a truthful yet caring manner. I recently moved within a 3 hour drive to her office. Dr. Brown is the ONLY doctor that I have continued to see. Yes, I drive 3 hours at least three times a year to get my cleanings and any dental procedures done. If I could I would give 0 stars I would. Horrible service. They had an intern take my x-rays nearly cutting up my gums every time she had to adjust them. I went in thinking I was going to have my cavities fixed, instead they took a look at my teeth then told me they had to reschedule (and they charged me 75 for that visit). As if that wasn't annoying enough, they refused to give me my x-rays THAT I PAYED FOR, unless i payed an additional 50 dollars!!! After switching doctors I told them that SRB dental had said I needed a deeper (expensive) teeth cleaning. My new doctors response was that they were trying to scam me and that a regular teeth cleaning was enough. There are many dental offices in Chicago, I'd strongly suggest finding somewhere else, they seemed extremely amateurish. read more

I have been going to Dr. Brown for over four years. Even after I moved from the neighborhood I continue to go to this office due to the quality of care that I receive. The staff is extremely friendly and treat me like family. The receptionist always makes sure I get the maximum care that my coverage provides. Dr. Brown is thorough in her examinations and takes care of concern areas before they become a problem. Please note that the dentist recommends a more frequent cleaning schedule, but you can request the standard twice a year cleanings. read more

Dr. Brown and staff made me feel very at ease when I informed them of my fear of dentists. They have great follow up and are concerned with making sure you are notified when treatment is required. I was very happy with the service and will return. The only minus is she is out-of-network with my dental plan, so I end up paying more for my services. read more

I was just blown away how polite they are. I had to go and get a filling and they were just amazing. I'm coming back in March for a cleaning. Dr Brown is the consummate professional. She is intelligent, knowledgeable and caring. Her staff makes what could be a daunting experience relaxed and informative. Everything is explained and given extra time for any follow up questions. The dental assistant Katrina is smart, polite, kind and knows each patient's needs as she works to make sure all the procedures in the office flow seamlessly. The hygienist Pam is thorough and knows when you may be uncomfortable and her recommendations for at home cleaning helps the in-office cleaning process. My twenty plus year relationship with Dr Brown has kept this senior smiling with healthy teeth and gums-no dentures- real teeth! Can't say enough positive comments about my dentist Dr. Brown! The staff is very friendly and they really care about your oral health. The receptionist was very diligent calling me several times to retrieve my insurance information. I was set up with a follow up appointment before I left. Staff gave several recommendations on how to address concerns I had over my oral health. Excited to get these cavities filled. read more

Before making an appointment at this office, I would make sure you find out what they are going to charge you and what services they plan to perform. When booking my appointment over the phone, they failed to mention that they were out of network. I arrive and they gave me tons of forms to fill out asking personal information such as, "do you own or rent"? After filling out some of the forms, they said it would be $250 for my visit (i was going for a cleaning and xrays for a wisdom tooth coming in). They said I had not met my deductible and my insurance only covered a certain portion. That should have been my red flag and I should have bailed at that moment. But no, I paid and they got me in the chair and performed all of these exams which none of them I could understand what they were for. 2 hours later, they said I would need a special cleaning that will require me to come back for 2 more visits. What! So I left there, with a bunch of xrays, swollen gums from all their poking and no cleaning! To top it off, they send in "the closer" to go over your recommended "treatment plan" which they estimated $1k out of pocket. I felt like someone was selling me timeshare! Advice: ask detailed questions and beware. read more

Long story short, I haven't been to this office in a while but I agree with the one star ratings. Receptionist were nice but Dr. Brown and the rest of the staff were extremely rude. Even though I have pretty good dental insurance, I was always coming out of pocket on fees. Didn't get the best advice on dental decisions either (new dentist is great). I could say more about my negative experiences but suffice it to say just go somewhere else. I did get an apology letter from the office but by then I was just too done. read more

Good news!! I received my money back, the amount this "business" was keeping from me. It was a check in a real professional type letter withOUT an apology from the doctor, the receptionist, or anyone wise for that matter. It is pathetic that an investigation from the state is what it took. But that is funny, how after all that, the insults, the neglected call backs, the hangups that it was nearly a week after my case was assigned and I spoke to the investigator that this check appeared. This place is a professional scam. Under no circumstances should anyone go or continue to go there. Do not use 1800dentist for that matter, that's how I found this snake oil. read more

I guess you could consider me a difficult patient who has a love/hate relationship with the entire profession of dentistry. However, recruiting Dr. Brown to handle my dental is a decision I have not regretted. This business is a complete fraud. Unless you want terrible service and a dentist who misdiagnoses you and scams you out of your money, choose another dentist. I speak from experience, I was scammed and ended up paying $1000 for a cleaning a reputable dentist has since then told me I did not need. Dr. Brown has an exemplary staff. You are warmly greeted by receptionist and offered refreshments while completing paperwork. Once called, you encounter professional, friendly members of her staff who are patient, accommodating and knowledgeable. The doctor has an angel's touch and is endowed with a skillset that any procedure done is so proficient that you never believe this is a dentist. Moreover, the ambiance, soothing instrumental music reminded me of a spa environment instead of a dental office. Impeccable service and incredible people. I would not recommend this dentist. I waited a ridiculously long time for each of my appointments, and the cleanings themselves took perhaps twice as long as any cleaning I've ever had. I also received questionable treatment, since SRB misdiagnosed a few things (I've since been going to different dentists.) Another very frustrating point is that I can't get SRB to stop contacting me. I have asked to be taken off of any lists, and I've blocked several numbers and email addresses. Yet I still receive voicemails, texts, and emails asking me to come back for more treatment. This is unprofessional behavior. read more

Excellent care and excellent service! I am a "difficult" patient - I want what I want and I'm not satisfied with "basic" care. SRB Dental knows me and provides the level of service that I want. They would get 5 stars if they were in my Dental network plan but I have NO intention of changing dentists! My dental hygienist, Pam is wonderful too!
