Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan

Wonderful indian food here at Sree. Our service was kind and the restaurant was clean.

Saffron Bread Basket

Chaat Samosa, where have you been all my life? All the goodness of a mashed vegetable samosa with chickpeas and chutneys. Ordered mild but comes with a little kick, as does the Veg Samosa. Dal Soup (lentils) was perfectly comforting and delicious. Very filling. I should have stopped there! Saffron Bread Basket comes with regular naan, garlic naan, and one with shredded coconut (and other goodies) on the inside to make it sweet. Perfect to share as a table. Butter Chicken - The kids loved this. Ordered mild. Goat Vindaloo - Goat and potatoes. Big chunks of goat which were not as tender but not super fatty like other places. I was so full I could only eat a little.

Mysore Masala Dosa, Carrot Halwa, Gobi Manchurian and mango lassi

Ordered from DoorDash as the roads were a bit icy and snow falling and didn't feel my moving the rental car. Did the Mysore masala dosa, carrot halwa, Gobi Manchurian and mango lassi. Other than the Mysore masala dosa being as hot as a Carolina reaper (well in my eyes and palate probably a 2 out of 10 heat index rating) LOL my mouth was on fire and I was sweating but once the lassi calmed it down and the halwa I was able to breath again. :-) Great tasting food that was freshly prepared and next time I will order some milder items.

Not sure what the server brought out....i did order chicken corn soup. I neither had corn nor chicken. Lol

Less than average in terms of food quality. The chicken dish I ordered : chicken tikka pieces done with grilled onions - called Kabab. Not really sure what dish he brought. Also got some chicken corn soup but it neither had any yellow corn nor chicken just baby corn cutting pieces. if you'd like baby corn, this is your soup. They should baby corn soup!! Server was nice, just seems bored with his job I'm not one to make a fuss, just eat it and pay, and leave then write honest reviews. 2/5!!

Food is terrific. Great flavor and spice options. And the delivery has always been ahead of the promised time. Love this place.

Very good butter chicken. They didn't have something I wanted to order so they provided extra rice, which was nice of them.

One of go to place for Indian vegetarian cuisine. Curries are great; however, breads can be better and well baked.

We haven't eaten here in over ten years and were happy to see they were still in business! We…read morearrived about 90 minutes before closing time so it wasn't very busy. The fellow who waited on us had such a thick accent we could barely understand him, the lady bussing dishes didn't speak any English. But with pointing at the menu and careful listening we got our orders in. The food arrived pretty quickly, and it was amazing with plenty for leftovers. I found a bit of star anise in mine which just proves the sauces are home-made and not dumped out of a jar (like some places do). The rice was sprinkled with black sesame seeds just for that added extra, and the naan was hot and soft. The atmosphere was...odd. No music at all, which made it feel awkward. Boxes and storage and piles of supplies crowded the dining room and plenty of Christmas decorations were still up (we visited in March mind you). The restroom was clean and decorated for spring with an exorbitant quantity of silk flower arrangements on the counter. They were out of chai Masala, so I'd ordered something called "rose milk" which I never did receive but at least I wasn't charged for it. Again, the language gap proved to be a real thing to contend with. By the time we left around 8:20 the place was empty, but then it was a Thursday night. The food was worth putting up with the rest of it, and looking forward to dining there again.

Delicious. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for good Indian cuisine in the EL arearead more

Cleanliness, freshness, variety…read more Every once in a while place will surprise you. I walked into this place while traveling as a soccer parent. The freshness of the produce was the first thing I recognized in the buffet. Normally the texture feels off in a buffet but this reminded me of the freshness of my auntie's garden in India. The chickpeas were not over or undercooked (steam cooked?) and the raita was the rich consistency of home, not the quick and watered down version typical in casual fare. I am vegetarian and cannot speak to the meat dishes, but felt like some real heart was behind the cooking. Perhaps the Naan was the only drawback, losing its texture made in bulk perhaps. But the taste relied less on salt and oil and more on the ingredients and a sense of freshness on many items I might serve in my own home. I cook these dishes at home and on a few I felt like asking for some cooking tips.

I love flavorful food. I tried this place on a recommendation and it was a good recommendation…read more It's not a fancy restaurant. It has your basic booth and table setup. The service isn't the fastest. It is good service at the same time. The food came out hot and full of spices just the way I like it. The samosas were flaky with a satisfying vegetable filling. The curry shrimp and fish had a medium plus heat which was just right for me. I would eat here again.

A mixed bag...incredible Tikka Masala, but skip the lamb…read more We stopped in for dinner and had two very different experiences with our entrées. The Chicken Tikka Masala was absolute perfection, velvety, creamy, and hit the perfect spice level. The naan was also excellent, fresh and pillowy. However, I was really disappointed with the Lamb Biryani. The meat was unfortunately dry, extremely fatty, and lacked flavor. I'd previously tried the Butter Chicken, which was decent, so there's definitely potential here if you order the right thing. Pros: Massive parking lot and plenty of indoor seating. They have a buffet! (Didn't realize this until we arrived, but a great perk). Food is well-packaged for takeout. Cons: Service over the phone was a bit "prickly" and felt rushed. Pro Tip: Read the menu on DoorDash before ordering; it actually provides much better descriptions of the dishes than their official website or Toast.

We ordered Paneer Masala, Lamb Curry, naan, and lassi to go. The total came out to just under $60, which I expected to be comparable to other similar places I've tried. I'm from California, so this definitely isn't my first experience with ethnic food. I'm very familiar with these flavors and even cook them myself. Unfortunately, the tadka didn't seem to be cooked long enough because the masala tasted more like Campbell's soup than a traditional curry. We didn't finish the food and ended up ordering from somewhere else. I'm glad I tried it, but personally it wasn't my favorite.
