On a quick camping trip, my wife and I decided to try this place due to the fact we have a hard time finding mead establishments where we live. The building is wonderfully decorated and set up and the mead is excellent. My favorite was the John Lemon but all the ones I tried were wonderful in their own way. Had tried the John Lemon mead at a local establishment and really enjoyed the fresh Summer flavor- so much so that we decided to pay a visit to the cellars. They were not busy, couple of guys at the bar and two bartenders. Were completely ignored, had to ask for assistance, never got to sample anything else to see if we wanted any additional flavors. Bartender even left us to finish our payment on the iPad. Good product, lousy customer service. Good customer service gains loyalty. read more

The most friendly staff I've encountered at any winery. This in addition to some of the best tasting mead/wine I've had. I will be back with every trip I make up north. The knowledge of the products being served was fantastic. It's nice to know what is being served and how it got the taste and even the color it had. Thoroughly disappointed...longtime regular and informed that we now have to pay to try a taste of anything if interested in ordering a drink. And because I'm there when there's live music, there's no tasting allowed. How do we know if we want to order a glass if we have no idea what it tastes like. This place is awesome. We stumbled upon it one day when they were closed and preparing for an event but they let us taste anyway. They have delicious meads and other products in addition to a lovely staff. If I didn't live so far away I would visit regularly. Stop in, you will not be disappointed. read more

Amazing location and meads! It is out of the way but very worth it if you like wineries/craft drinks. Unfortunately, the assistant tasting room manager, Samantha, was extremely rude and ruined the experience. She did not smile at all, and we were there about an hour after they opened. We were celebrating my birthday and check she checked my ID she said "happy birthday" so dryly and rude, it was so disappointing! Their drinks are amazing are pretty well priced, but I was shocked when a server told me that the rude bartender was actually management. We won't come here again. Also, they were still bussing dirty tables from THE NIGHT BEFORE. On the patio. :( wish I had a good enough experience to recommend it, but luckily you can buy their meads at some liquor stores. read more

I don't think you'll find a nicer, more professional and more helpful place to do business. That said, I'd like to review three of their products. While on a Disney trip in Florida, my wife and I went to Disney Springs where we were introduced to the St Ambrose Cellars mead. We bought a bottle of X R Cyser and really enjoyed it. When we got back home in Georgia, we started looking for a store that carried St Ambrose but only found stores that would order it, if you bought several bottles. We bought more X R Cyser and also tried the Evil Twin. Evil Twin was ok but not as tasty to us as the X R Cyser. Then we ventured into the Still Mead and bought the Tupelo Ambrosia. We ordered the Rose Ambrosia but somehow we got Tupelo. End result was that the four of us that tried the Tupelo Ambrosia all gave it a "Thumbs Down" for flavor. St Ambrose Cellars = great people, great business. Tupelo Ambrosia = not so tasty mead! read more

Found this while looking for a winery or brewery near Beulah on Google. So glad we stopped. Super quaint on the outside and beautiful and surprisingly spacious on the inside. Don't just stop at the tasting room for beverages though. We bought 4 jars of cremes and mustards, 1 bottle of wine, 1 bottle of wine/mead mix, and a growler of the ginger mead. Absolutely will go back next time up north! read more

Yeeeeeeaaaahhh.... so we had a lovely time and enjoyed the meads and food truck. Then we went back into the taproom from the garden about 2 minutes to closing and we were told our tab was already closed out with tip and we couldn't buy any of the bottles we wanted to buy to go. EVEN THOUGH they admitted that they didn't come to the garden to announce last call or try to find us (even though they were looking and that's part of the patio) Shame on you. You not only lost a lot of sales, you ended a great experience with a VERY bad one that makes us not really want to come back. Older woman working was snotty and short and we were nothing but polite. It's a weekend in the summer. You close at 6pm. But don't even find your customers on the grounds and respect your potential take away sales. Shame on you. I was going to give a 5 Star but that attitude and lack of effort is inexcusable. Coming from someone in the industry. read more

Sweet surprise. Great honey creme options. Lemon is wonderful. The on tap meads are the best I have tasted -fresh, clean, and flavorful. The wines were also good but not what made the biggest impression on me. Worth a trip by car or bike. read more

This is a great place to go. The mead and wine is wonderful, and they have activities to do on the lawn including corn holes and bocchi ball. I only wish they were more consistent with their pours. read more

We stopped in with friends a few weeks ago. The wonderful proprietor spent a lot of time with us explaining the different wines and meads. The tasting was fun and we all took home some wonderful wines. We will be returning soon! Nice place to stop when you are Up North in Michigan! read more
