St. Anne's Crossing is an absolutely charming vineyard known for their exquisite zinfandels and bold reds! I'd be remiss not to mention their beautiful vineyards which only add to the ambiance! This is a perfect spot for a date, girls trip, or outing! We recently had the pleasure of stopping in for a tasting on our girls trip. Scott Ricci guided us through our tasting- what a guy!! He was quirky, friendly, and knowledgeable beyond belief throughout each pour. The highlight of the tasting was a bold 2021 Angelo Zinfandel! Also pleasing our red lover's palate was the 2021 Los Chamizal Primitivo- So flavorful and full bodied! Overall, it was a delightful experience! The combination of excellent wines, picturesque surroundings, and informative guidance from Scott made it our memorable tasting of the trip!

This is a cute place! We tried it for the first time the other day and the customer service was great! She really talked about the wines and the wine makers and was super knowledgeable. We got to sit by the fire and relax. Definitely try this winery!

We came here to St. Anne's crossing with our Matrix wine club membership (Wilson Artisan wine group). So glad we did. We were greeted promptly, and must have come at a slow time as we were immediately seated (with no reservation). We chose the outdoor seating and had a nice view of the Mountains. Our "wine" person for this sitting was Scott, he combined knowledge with some good humor for a very enjoyable time. We had various wine pourings, and some nice little additions. The absolute topper was the 2017 Kennethwood reserve Zinfandel, which was not on the list. With a list price of $150, on sale for $75 it was absolutely a very delicious wine, with a great story that we were left wondering was in the 5% embellishment . Thanks Scott for helping us enjoy your very good wines, we will be back.

Like zin? Looking for a quaint place for a tasting? St. Anne's Crossing, one of the Wilson Wineries, is just the place! Joining their club opens up free tastings at all of the Wilson Winery tasting rooms! Today we had the best tasting with Scott as our wine guide! He has a great and very unique approach of introducing each wine. We are members of a different Wilson winery that specializes in cabs, but my husband and I both fell in love with the 2022 Old Vine Zin. I bet you will too! Be sure to ask for Scott!

Superb... Need, I say more! This Winery has lovely reds, very amenable prices, and a fun & friendly Staff! Cannot say enough about Scott, our wine host. Just lovely! I highly recommend this winery for a visit.

St. Anne's, you are quite the charmer aren't you?! Cozy and intimate with beautiful views, amazing service, and delicious wines aka all of the wonderful elements that Shayla craves for in a winery. St. Anne's, YOOOUUU got it babyyy! We had a fabulous time tasting here at St. Anne's Crossing. I'm a Wilson Artisan Wines member and I love the fact that I can visit so many wonderful sister wineries. I've tasted St. Anne's wines before but this was our first time tasting at their estate. I just have to send a HUGE shoutout to Teresa! She was absolutely fabulous and super fun! She kept our group entertained from beginning to end and let us sample some really exquisite wines. If you're a fan of red wine, specifically Zinfandel, then St. Anne's is your baby! Their Zinfandels are top of the line, especially their reserve line. The great part about their Zins is that they offer a variety of different types. I'm a jammy, fruity, floral type of girl when it comes to Zins. Their Angelo Zin just spoke to me. It was right up my alley! So much fruit, great sweetness. It was just everything in a bottle. If fruit forward isn't your thing, they also have more smoky and earthy based Zins too. My friends really enjoyed their Bacigalupi Zin which has more of a robust mineral and smoky taste. Also impressive was their Sauvignon Blanc which also leaned more toward the fruitier side and ended with a nice crispness. I don't usually tend to go for sauv blancs but I thoroughly enjoyed this one, especially in the hot heat that we were in. They've got the cutest back patio with tons of shaded tables set right amongst their stunning vineyards. Life doesn't get much better than that when you're in wine country. The service from Teresa truly stood out the most to us. Her personality and knowledge really reigned through, and you can tell that she loves what she does. If you're able to snag her for a tasting, you'll be so lucky! Great times were had at St. Anne's and I can't wait for many more to come in the future.

My first visit there and was quite impressed. Scott took excellent care of us, provided lots of fun facts about the wines, and has a great sense of humor. He never pushed us to purchase anything. The setting is lovely with some shade that protected us from the sun on this hot day. We especially enjoyed some of the delicious Zins he poured us. Thank you for a superb experience!

One of the numerous wineries close to our home. I hadn't been here in some time but the sign out front showing a 97 point Zinfandel brought me in. I was with a wine club member so our tasting was complimentary and she poured a few yummy wines off the menu including the 97 point Rowe Vineyard Zinfandel - it's darn good. They are a Zin house for sure and have lots of options at various price points. Highly recommended when you are in our area. And thanks to Theresa for a wonderful tasting experience!

Delicious! Teresa did a great job!

Teresa was awesome! She was knowledgeable about the wines, helpful, enthusiastic and passionate about the wines! We loved meeting her and trying all of the wines! We loved our experience with her! She made sure we tried the wines that we were most interested in as well. People like Teresa make the wine tasting experience when on vacation the best memories to have!

    Delightful wine

Ok This place is OUTSTANDING. A wonderful experience from beginning to end. Theresa was our server, and was so well informed and educated us on each wine. She was delightful we had a charcuterie followed by dark chocolates all which complemented the wine so very well HIGHLY RECOMMEND going here. Jeffery John

Bar tastings didn't require a reservation for groups under 6, while the others did. The bar tasting flight came with 4 wines, though there was a welcome prosecco pour not listed, as well as a few off menu pours we got to try. I didn't personally love the wines, but I'm not always huge on Italian wines. Both of the friends I was tasting with ended up taking bottles home, one of them quite a few! They have a kitchen, gelato shop, and a small market located in the tasting room. The gelato shop and kitchen were pointed out to us from a far, but we did get to explore the marketplace and the fun goodies in there. Along with the deli case food items, they also had jarred pastas and sauces to go. The piazza was a cool area, but on a hot day I was glad we were tasting inside with all the heat from the cement. They had some areas under a trellis that were nice and fully shaded, that would be my go to if tasting outside here.

The history of this winery can be traced back to the 1920s, when a rich mining family moved west from Michigan and purchased the land where it sits on. The winery business actually started in the 1970s by several businessmen from the San Joaquin Valley. 50+ years later, it remains one of the more recognizable names in the NorCal wine industry. I got here with my buddy David A. and his wife at around 4:15pm. The first thing that struck me was the tranquility. I was dealing with a major protest in my city that morning, so the peacefulness was truly appreciated by me. Aside from that, nature's beauty was on full display. The sky was blue, the hills were green, and the temperature was a perfect 72F. Sarah couldn't have asked for a better day to have her wedding! The ceremony was held in a covered area near the chateau, with seating set up for 100-150 guests. After the ceremony, a pre-reception cocktail party was held in the courtyard area. After about an hour or so, the dinner reception was held under the giant palm tree. The food and service for the entire event were fantastic. From appetizers to main course to desserts, the food was well prepared and delicious. Service provided by the staff was friendly and attentive. There were a couple minor hitches during the reception, but they resolved them quickly. Chateau St. Jean is definitely worth checking out if you are in the area. As a non-drinker, I don't know enough about their wine to have an opinion on their quality, but I think you will really enjoy the serene setting.

ROSÉ SPECIALTY In…read moreOctober 2022 I visited Deerfield for the first time wine tasting with a group of hop hip dancers I performed with in a showcase in the summer that year. There was a tasting menu that consisted of five wines. The two wines I enjoyed were the Checkerbloom Rosé, which after tasting became my favorite rosé, and Merlot Cuvee. During this visit I didn't purchase any wine because there was another winery we were visiting for a tasting menu. At that winery I preferred one of their red wines over the Merlot Cuvee from Deerfield. However I really loved the Checkerbloom Rosé. When I came home I ordered Checkerbloom Rosé online through Deerfield. I wasn't sure when I was going back to Deerfield. As I really like their one wine I wasn't driving to Deerfield just for the Checkerbloom Rosé. About the last couple of months I've been receiving emails from Deerfield Ranch Winery about the @Rose 2023 was soon to be sold out as it was selling for $10. I'm not going to order wine that I never tasted before. Before going to Deerfield I had to check online if the Checkerbloom Rosé was still available. Apparently it wasn't. Also the @Rose 2023 wasn't $10 anymore. On a hunch I decided to go to Deerfield. I went to Deerfield last week on a Sunday. As I entered the cave I went to the cash register. One of the workers Ben approached me. I asked him if @Rose 2023 was still $10. He answered yes. I also asked if the Checkerbloom Rosé was still available. He showed me the bottle. I decided to buy the Checkerbloom Rosé. Before buying I asked Ben if I could take a sip this rosé. It was sweet. Ben replied the @Rose 2023 is sweeter than the Checkerbloom Rosé, which is drier. I decided to buy three bottles of @Rose 2023 at $10 each. There are certain wineries that have specialties. For me during my two visits at Deerfield their rosés are better than from other wineries I've tasted.

It's rare that I'm able to find a place where I love every wine poured - but La Rochelle truly hit the mark!!! I wish every winery did this - it made our tasting so much more enjoyable knowing that they knew our expectations! VISIT: We had requested to sit outside, and even though it was a chilly day they made us comfortable with cozy blankets and heaters. I love that they made every effort to help us sit outside & have the experience we were aiming for. We were the only visitors and loved the intimate experience sitting in their back garden complete with chickens & a wine cat! WINE: In regards to the wine itself, superb! Their Pinot Noirs & Chardonnays are small lot, single vineyards. Every Pinot was different than the last and it was such a treat to taste a Pinot Meunier and their special Pinot Noir Polyphony. There is ample seating at picnic tables, etc. and while tasting, you'll enjoy the sounds of water trickling from the koi pond on the property. In fact, you'll feel as if you're in a friend's backyard, rather than at a winery. The croquet course and wide open grassy area further enforces that vibe. And how could one forget about the chickens! They have a few chickens on the property that occasionally have been roaming on our visits, but usually are in the coop. The owner's dog also occasionally makes an appearance. The wines are delicious and the staff is knowledgeable about the tasting notes and growing details of each wine. My parents are members at this winery, so I've been several times, and they are PHENOMENAL at making their members feel at home. In fact, they even just held a complimentary Member appreciation event where they provided an extravagant "make your own wreath" event, complete with fresh eucalyptus, pine, and all the decoration options you could possibly imagine, as well a turkey and mashed potato meal.
