Impromptu wine taste on a slow weekday pays in spades. Had time to kill before the dinner hours so what better way to taste some new wines and culture an education. #vacaymode Rolled through almost on their last hour of the day. Parking lot was empty and thought they were closed but decided to take a peek anyways, and lo and behold the lights were on and the door open. I was greeted by a super cool dude who didn't seem the typical tight and stuffy wine country host. I was an able to sit at a bar setting, told the details of their tasting (price, tasting line-up, fees waived if wine purchased etc). For a $25 fee (which was waived at the end cuz I always buy a couple of bottles) I was able to taste at least 5 different wines with a bonus at the end. I was also given a small ramekin of macadamia nuts, which I've never had with a wine tasting. But totally works because these nuts are very hearty and full of rich oils which counter the acidic and tannic nature of wines. Dude then plays some tunes from his personal playlist as their main sound system seemed to not be working that day and it was straight music that I personally dig. Lol. And for a full hour no one else came in which was a new experience for me. We just sat there as he poured and educated me on each of their wines and we just casually talked about random cool things, so not bogged down with wine banter. At the end I walked out with 3 new bottles, wine country air on blast and a nice dinner looming just a half mile down the road. S E R V I C E: My husband and I came here for our anniversary, and it's the same day as Veteran's Day. We weren't sure if there were any wineries open, so we decided to be spontaneous! There's plenty of parking available, and it looks beautiful and rustic. It seemed honestly dead, so when my husband and I opened the door to walk in, we saw one woman who looked like she was cleaning the table. We asked if they were open, and she responded with an annoyed, "Yeah?" She was the only one working that day, and told us there's seating in the back which we had no idea of. From that point on, our tasting experience lacked connection and excitement. W I N E: I really wanted to like them, but everything was just too strong for me, or the taste didn't surprise me. We asked if there were other options for me to taste, but we were told everything was sold out or they didn't have anything else opened. O V E R A L L: Beautiful place, however, customer service and wine fell flat for us. I like that they're dog friendly, and they seem to have the best wine club membership in Sonoma county (you get access to a bunch of other wineries which is honestly pretty cool). read more

St. Anne's Crossing is an absolutely charming vineyard known for their exquisite zinfandels and bold reds! I'd be remiss not to mention their beautiful vineyards which only add to the ambiance! This is a perfect spot for a date, girls trip, or outing! We recently had the pleasure of stopping in for a tasting on our girls trip. Scott Ricci guided us through our tasting- what a guy!! He was quirky, friendly, and knowledgeable beyond belief throughout each pour. The highlight of the tasting was a bold 2021 Angelo Zinfandel! Also pleasing our red lover's palate was the 2021 Los Chamizal Primitivo- So flavorful and full bodied! Overall, it was a delightful experience! We came here to St. Anne's crossing with our Matrix wine club membership (Wilson Artisan wine group). So glad we did. We were greeted promptly, and must have come at a slow time as we were immediately seated (with no reservation). We chose the outdoor seating and had a nice view of the Mountains. Our "wine" person for this sitting was Scott, he combined knowledge with some good humor for a very enjoyable time. We had various wine pourings, and some nice little additions. The absolute topper was the 2017 Kennethwood reserve Zinfandel, which was not on the list. With a list price of $150, on sale for $75 it was absolutely a very delicious wine, with a great story that we were left wondering was in the 5% embellishment . Calling all Zen lovers! St. Anne's Crossing is a member of the Wilson Family of Wineries, and they take the prize for the best Zinfandel wines. The staff is always friendly and, most importantly, knowledgeable about the wines. They represent the Wilson brand extremely well with their professionalism. When they were required to provide food with your tasting, they curated a wonderful sampling of local charcuterie products. We find that a price comparison with similar wineries in the area St. Anne's is on par. However, their quality and care used to make their wines is a step above. When visiting, I would suggest making a reservation as they can become very busy at random times. You have two options for your tasting experience. You may enjoy your wine indoors, where you will experience a mix of modern and rustic furniture that includes the natural warm tones in the wood. Inside, you are also able to view the different soil types that help create the wonderful flavors from their vines. Outside is another adventure as well. The patio is a wonderful place to enjoy your wine as you look over the surrounding grape vines. Take some time and stop by. St. Anne's Crossing is easy to locate; just look for the large bear statue, you cannot miss it from the road. read more

St. Anne's, you are quite the charmer aren't you?! Cozy and intimate with beautiful views, amazing service, and delicious wines aka all of the wonderful elements that Shayla craves for in a winery. St. Anne's, YOOOUUU got it babyyy! We had a fabulous time tasting here at St. Anne's Crossing. I'm a Wilson Artisan Wines member and I love the fact that I can visit so many wonderful sister wineries. I've tasted St. Anne's wines before but this was our first time tasting at their estate. I just have to send a HUGE shoutout to Teresa! She was absolutely fabulous and super fun! She kept our group entertained from beginning to end and let us sample some really exquisite wines. If you're a fan of red wine, specifically Zinfandel, then St. Anne's is your baby! Their Zinfandels are top of the line, especially their reserve line. The great part about their Zins is that they offer a variety of different types. I'm a jammy, fruity, floral type of girl when it comes to Zins. Their Angelo Zin just spoke to me. It was right up my alley! So much fruit, great sweetness. It was just everything in a bottle. If fruit forward isn't your thing, they also have more smoky and earthy based Zins too. My friends really enjoyed their Bacigalupi Zin which has more of a robust mineral and smoky taste. Also impressive was their Sauvignon Blanc which also leaned more toward the fruitier side and ended with a nice crispness. I don't usually tend to go for sauv blancs but I thoroughly enjoyed this one, especially in the hot heat that we were in. They've got the cutest back patio with tons of shaded tables set right amongst their stunning vineyards. Life doesn't get much better than that when you're in wine country. The service from Teresa truly stood out the most to us. Her personality and knowledge really reigned through, and you can tell that she loves what she does. If you're able to snag her for a tasting, you'll be so lucky! Great times were had at St. Anne's and I can't wait for many more to come in the future. read more

My first visit there and was quite impressed. Scott took excellent care of us, provided lots of fun facts about the wines, and has a great sense of humor. He never pushed us to purchase anything. One of the numerous wineries close to our home. I hadn't been here in some time but the sign out front showing a 97 point Zinfandel brought me in. I was with a wine club member so our tasting was complimentary and she poured a few yummy wines off the menu including the 97 point Rowe Vineyard Zinfandel - it's darn good. Lovely back patio tasting area that feels intimate while giving expansive views of the vineyard. They're mainly a Zinfandel producer and those wines seem solidly good. I also especially liked their Chardonnay. I'd get into tasting notes but they're really individual anyway. $25 for a flight of tastings and free if you purchase two bottles. Downsides are the lack of overhead shade structures. This was Feb so the nearby trees were bare and didn't provide much shade. That said, when the leaves are there it should be much better. Another downside is no food service but you can bring your own food! Bathrooms: Just one, but that's plenty, and very clean and modern. read more

The wines themselves were delicious and some of the best we've had so far, and everyone was super hospitable. A colleague of ours was a member here, so we made the trek to Kenwood to this winery. I did not realize we had free tastings with his member pass, and the employee there was so nice and knowledgable. Although I'm not a huge fan of red wines, I appreciated everyone allowing me to try the zins. It is owned by the Wilson winery group which has many years of Zinfandel making experience. In a sentence, St. Ann's Crossing wines are fabulous. Highly finessed, deep flavors, smooth, pleasing mouth feel, subtle tannins, and a long lingering pleasant finish. Prices are medium high. If I could afford to spend $28 - 50 per bottle everyday, this would be my staple house wine. read more

Decent (if not spectacular) wines poured in a lovely setting. The tasking fee is reasonable (I think it was 25 per person). The fee is waived if you buy two bottles of something so of course I bought two bottles of something, but then again it does not take much coercion to get me to buy two bottles of wine if not just to sock away and see if it develops a bit later. There was not much banter with the person who was bringing our pourings out to us but it was a slow day and maybe they weren't in the mood. Came in on a Saturday afternoon. I've had St Anne's wines before and have always enjoyed them. The tasting room is quaint and down to earth. Outside has plenty of tables backing to vineyards. We decided we would have our picnic lunch here with a bottle of Zinfandel. We weren't offered new glasses for the bottle we just bought. Had to ask for them. We were pretty disappointed with our tasting experience here. The pours were veryyyy small. I suppose they were the standard one ounce pour but they really did seem tiny. The woman pouring for us would say what it was, pour the wine, and walk away immediately. I have to say we learned nothing about their winery or the wines we tried. It was a very boring wine tastings. Wines were good but I won't be recommending friends to come here anymore. Very underwhelming. read more

We stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon based on a recommendation from another winery. Gina greeted us at the door with a smile and immediately made it known that her job was to make sure we enjoyed the tasting and the wines. And she exceeded expectations! Very knowledgeable, was able to find a wine my particular husband liked and made sure we had plenty of laughs along the way. St. Anne's Crossing is known for their zins and had a good variety on their tasting menu the day we visited. It was reasonably priced at $15:tasting. The only problem I have with this place is I can't decide which wine I like the most! The girls pouring here are so nice and knowledgable - they had so much to say about the wines and all the family vineyards. It is always great to have staff members at wineries who are so personable and make it obvious they love their job. We purchased some wine and candle decorations from their shop, but I cannot wait to return and get more wine. This place was the last of the entire list of "partner wineries" and I would have to say that our favorite's would be Mazzocco and St Anne's -- primarily for the high-energy staff, the enticing Zinfandels, and the chill outdoor space. They are known for their zins and I am not personally a zin fan. BUT, I really enjoyed these wines. We had a new employee help us (I forgot her name) but she's been there for 2 months& yet very knowledgeable and friendly. St. Anne's was our last stop on our wine tasting tour, and it was one of our favorites. They are truly Zin experts! We loved sitting outside on the patio for our tasting. We tried one Sauvignon Blanc, which was great, and a handful of Zins. You can really taste the difference between them, and they are amazing even for people who aren't normally big Zin fans. St. Anne's Crossing is an answer to anyone's prayers living in Zin. They have a wonderful variety, along with friendly hosts. It has beautiful views of nearby Sonoma Mountain&Sugarloaf Ridge State Park. There's an astounding variety of zinfandels. Some are fruity, some are spicy, there are real differences. One is a blend from 5 different vineyards. They draw from the Russian River&Sonoma Valleys. The St. Lawrence River is on the winery's label, so not everything is written, but everything is definitely drunk down! St. Anne's Crossing is an answer to your prayers. read more
