Wow!! Amazing. Truly awesome experience. The food was so fresh cooked to order. The hubby and I ordered the abc and dantes inferno along with a beer pretzel and some craft beers. All of which were flavorful and served with genuine customer service. I'm heartbroken that I am about to PCS to Juneau Alaska tomorrow and will only be able to enjoy when I visit El Paso (once in a blue moon). The salad was good I enjoyed the vinegarette dressing and the spinach. However the pizza was doughy and the tomato sauce tasted like tomato paste, I was looking for something more authentic. Just here visiting and trying different foods. read more

This place is a cute little gem. Let's start with what's important, the food and drink. Absolutely amazing flavor combinations on the pizzas. They're truly artisan and authentic, meaning they're not loaded with toppings but balanced perfectly between toppings and crust as a authentic pizza should be. Good char on crust as a wood fire pizza should be. My husband had the Dante's inferno and I had La Vida Bella. I can't find the words to how amazing the flavors on mine were. My ONLY critique is that I wished I had a slice of pear on each pizza slice....it was so good. They have a nice selection of beer and wines as well and reasonable prices. Our server was very courteous, prompt and professional. Great service. Also want to note either a manager, chef or owner....not sure who he was, came out to check on us as well and asked how we liked the food and talked a bit about the ingredients. We just stopped in and were going to place a takeout order for 3 pizzas so we could continue on our road trip. Right as my wife was about to order I see a cockroach by the pizza oven I slide my chair back to to stand up and I see another by my wife's foot. She was not too happy about that, but the waiter was nice enough to step on it just so my wife could hear the crunch. I wish I could have taken a picture of my wife's face. If cockroaches are strolling around during the day in the middle of the restaurant it's a really bad thing. Needless to say we left. read more

I really liked the idea of the way the pizza was cooked and the variety of flavors they had but the execution was just okay in my eyes. We went for the grasshopper pizza which they had no grasshoppers and no indication on the menu that they were out. That already bummed us out. The beer menu wasn't updated either and they had a lot of items they were out of. The waitress was nice but would sometimes forget things and take a while to bring them while other guests I saw were taken care of quicker. My first visit here to St Augustine and I really did not know what to expect as it was a recommendation from my wife. She found out by visiting another place close to the restaurant. You see I am very picky about my pizza. Born and raised in Chicago, my wife says I am very critical about every pizza place I visit and I guess it's true. As I sat down with my wife I instantly felt comfortable as I was welcomed by Alex, one of the brothers that own this joint. I picked up a beer and took a look at the menu. I picked up the Dante's Inferno. I have to say, this is my new favorite pizza in El Paso. The way that my pizza was made, with love and care, really showed in the taste. The way all the flavors married each other, along with the delicious sauce and then the crispy and soft crust, made for a beautiful experience. Not to mention the smile it put on my face. As a frequent customer of the craft brew pub capital of America in Albuquerque New Mexico, St Augustine's may be able to set the hurdle very high for any other start ups in EL Paso Tx. I was in town for a senior softball tournament while a team mate was attending the El Paso Dual Athalon race in Socorro. Their pizza was outstanding and they have a wide selection of Wines. Their craft beer is local, tasty but limited (9). Once the New Mexico and Texas Craft brewers learn about St Augustine's they could handle about 15 more taps. . TV. Staff was great. They have two outdoors tables they may be converted into a pet friendly seating..I would have given them 5 stars but no TV..Vegas CJ facebook. read more

Like a lot of great places in EPTX this one's in a very unassuming little storefront strip. Don't be put off. What we got was great, but not without a couple of hitches. We were informed, (albeit in a polite kind of remorseful way, not a snooty way) they were out of this or that. So we made some simple adjustments and reoriented our expectations (no grasshopper pizza for Michael). Everyone was satisfied except for one who expected a greasier American style. This has a drier crispy crust. Winners - the All in All, the Salmon Spinach, the Pepperoni, and the Garden. They have an awesome lunch special- 1 topping pizza + tea for $6. So this is a great place for weekday lunch. Ambiance was pub-ish. Service was really friendly. M had a warm smile, a great attitude and took great care of us. And I must say, great tunes, nice play list that night! If they could just tighten up the availability of some common menu items they'd rate much higher in my opinion. read more
