The hotel staff was nice upon checking in, but we had a few issues throughout the night. The rooftop hot tub was a key factor in selecting this location, but it was full of bugs. We asked them to come to clean it out, and they did, but they made sure to tell us before leaving that they couldn't get all the bugs out. After the hot tub, we took showers and the hot water was out by the 2nd shower. We went to call them and realized there were no phones in the room. We used our personal phones to call and when maintenance came they said it was hot and asked if was it just not hot enough for us. They then said that we were at the end of the hallway and there was a wedding that day. Were we supposed to have cold showers because of that? The hotel does not offer microwaves or a fridge but advised we could have one declined to the room. We had a fridge brought up and it was huge. Came to my waist. It was dented and did not smell clean. Luckily we traveled with Lysol wipes and cleaned it out ourselves. We also noticed several dead gnats and spiderwebs in the window area. The air conditioner is loud and outdated. Random bathroom hair that didn't belong to us. The list goes on. Not exactly a relaxing vacation location. Lobby and hallways were nice though.

I had one of the most memorable hotel stays of my life this past weekend…read more From before we even arrived, I knew we were in good hands. i booked online but called the front desk as I had a special request. Chris was incredible. We arrived a few days later and pulled right up for Lora's valet to park our car. We checked in and the lobby is so beautiful and smelled so good, we immediately felt relaxed. Our room was the Premier King and was stunning. I don't even know where to begin. The decor with the exposed old cream brick mixed with velvet and moody decor- I knew this place was somewhere special. The room was so thoughtfully designed. From the golden rabbit door knocker (there's a lot of symbolism throughout the hotel) to the sleek wardrobe with steamer and plenty of hangers (I'm happy hotels are getting away from closets that just eat up so much space), I was taking notes of everything that exceeded my expectations. The Honor bar was full of snacks and....other goodies that one may need and had local treats and cocktails too! There's a bluetooth Tivoli radio next to the bed so we were able to listen to our own tunes while we got ready for our night out. After we got home that night, we sat by the fireplace outside the hotel for a bit to wind down. It was so nice. Then we got ready for bed and let me tell you never have I ever had such a good sleep in a hotel. That bed was HEAVEN. I have a bad neck and I'm always nervous I'll have a flare up from hotel pillows and mattresses and you could not pry me out of that bed. The bathroom is amazing and the bath products are CO Bigalow- nice! The shower was literally perfect. I know this is so random to comment on but when you want to shower but not wash your hair and you aren't at your home shower, it's a bit of a drag. Not here! Idk who designed this shower but it had the perfect stream angle and flow to allow you to be warm and shower while keeping your head out of the water. Pressure was perfect. I want this shower in my home and I want it in my home today. Lastly, in a world where trendy hotels insist on BARN Doors for bathroom, Lora knows that it doesn't matter how long you've been married, bathroom visits for any reason deserve privacy and a REAL door. I loathe barn doors with every fiber of my being and I am grateful that such a hip and stylish hotel keeps the important things standard! They have a beautful restaurant, Feller, and bar, The Long Goodbye. Somehow time got away from us and we didn't get to try either! But their coffee and homemade granola bars at MADE were delicious. Overall, this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at and I cannot wait to come back. I will be recommending it to anyone with ears. The room, bed, shower, and customer service (Thank you, Chris you are a star!!), thoroughly exceeded my expectations. Just a note, as you're right on Main street, I suggest bringing ear plugs. The night life in Stillwater is booming on the weekend! Thank you, Lora. See you again and again.

You will immediately fall in love with this very charming hotel with a coffee shop and borrowed restaurant attached in the little downtown of Stillwater! The staff was fantastic and very accommodating. My room was comfortable, and the bed was very good, and made for great sleeping! Very easy to valet your car here, it's a very unique little hotel, tucked away in this very fun town which is loaded with shopping, restaurants, bars, breweries, and distilleries in about three blocks or so. They'll just love this place! I had a few issues with the room, but comfort was not one of them. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very comfortable as well. I got a room on a fourth floor, and when I opened up my window on the fourth floor, I had a view of a parking lot and when I said I had a view of a parking lot, I mean there was a car park there and I could reach out the window and touch the license plate if I wanted too. I was surprised and I've never seen a car parked so close to a room before. But in fairness, I never heard the car once or anyone to get in the car and later I noticed the car had driven away. The furnishings in the room were lacking, probably because the rooms are very small here. But there was no desk and chair. I was traveling for business, so it's critical that I have a desk in my room. I realize a lot of people that come to this hotel are tourists, but even if I were a tourist, I like to have a desk and chair so that I could read materials, or sometimes I still have to open my computer and check emails. There was no such desk and chair in any of the rooms. I asked to be moved to a different one. But an even bigger concern was that there was no sort of chair or small couch. The only place to sit was a small bench at the foot of the bed that did not have any kind of Back support. Basically you could not sit in this room, except on the bed itself. Having back issues I really need a chair or couch to rest sometimes. When I sit up in a bed, I tend to slouch down, which isn't good for my lower back. Because of these reasons, I will not be coming back to this hotel, without either a desk and chair, or some sort of couch or lounge chair in the bedroom. Is this a good place to get a room if you're looking for a comfortable night sleep right in the charming downtown of Stillwater? Yes it is.

Upon arrival there was a loud bunch of people in the pool area. The music was really loud and there were open glass liquor bottles around. There was no way we were going in there. Shortly after that we heard yelling and someone saying they were going to call the police. Apparently there as a homeless man wandering around. Yikes. Besides that the room was musty, only 1 of the 3 lights above the sink were working. It was not a great stay. Thank goodness it was only 1 night.

BED BUGS & VERY Poor Management Response…read more My husband, our 2-year-old daughter, and I stayed here for a wedding from 9/19-9/21. My sister and her boyfriend stayed in the room across the hall. I'm sharing our direct experience so others can make an informed decision. The first night was uneventful, though our room had a strange smell and didn't feel very clean. We stayed because of the wedding. The night after we checked out, I found multiple bites all over my daughter's back. They became swollen and painful enough that she needed steroids. Around the same time, my sister--who was still in her room--found a live bug. She physically brought it to the front desk, and staff saw it and acknowledged it was a bug. I later noticed I also had several bites on my chest. We immediately began trying to reach the manager, Sanjay. For weeks, neither my sister nor I could get a call back. Staff repeatedly told us he was out of town. I finally reached him well over two weeks later. When we finally spoke, I felt he was dismissive and unprofessional, even when discussing our toddler's medical treatment. He refused a full refund--in fact, we never received any refund at all--despite the situation and the expenses we paid afterward (medical, hot-drying/ruining clothes, and hiring a detection dog to check our home and car). He also asked for my daughter's medical records, which I was not comfortable providing due to privacy. My husband later called, and that conversation also became extremely defensive. The manager claimed the bug my sister brought to the front desk was "a wood chip," even though she had watched it moving and the staff had already seen it and agreed with it being a bed bug. He repeatedly referred to my husband as "your lawyer husband," which came across as rude and unprofessional. I was also told that the health department had been contacted. When I called them myself, I was told they were not and haven't been notified at that time (this was nearly a MONTH later). They eventually checked only the rooms we stayed in--and that was about a month after our stay. When I spoke to Tammy the employee at the desk 3 days later, they had no record of any issue and the room was still open... which is highly concerning. At that point, we refused further direct communication with the manager and worked only through corporate. Even corporate staff expressed they were surprised that a refund hadn't been offered. Instead, we were eventually told we were placed on a "do not stay" list. Honestly, that's fine--after this experience, I would never return. This situation cost our family close to $1,000, not including the stress and worry over our toddler's reaction to the bites. And we never received any refund of any kind. I waited to write this until I had cooled down so I could be clear and factual. I can only speak to our firsthand experience, but based on that experience, I personally would not stay here again and strongly encourage others to use caution. I see another recent review also stated bed bugs were found (and that was not from my sister or her boyfriend), so we are not the only ones experiencing this. Please use caution when staying.
