My eyes were so bad that my optometrist would not give me a new glasses prescription. I was so blind I could no longer read street signs or see traffic lights well, especially if I had the sun in my face. I like Dr. Schnipper. He has a quirky personality. Some of his staff however, especially in the surgical center, could use some CS training. While I was laying on the gurney waiting my turn to go into surgery, there was a lot of in-house gossip going on around me. I found that to be rather unprofessional. I'm glad my first surgery on my right eye was a much more pleasant experience compared to my second visit for my left eye. The IV insertion was nothing the first time. I barely felt it go in and when it came out all I was left with was a tiny red dot. The second time, OMG, I walked out of there looking like my hand had been slammed in a car door. The person that tried to do this IV destroyed my hand. There was no hope of finding a vein so then she tried my arm. A week later and I still have a big bruise from that. Do NOT let the lady with blonde hair in bob style with bangs do your IV. Ask for somebody else. If she had been the one to do my first IV, I would have been terrified to go back for my second surgery. I felt like I was being stung by bees. I added pictures just to show I am NOT being overly dramatic. It's a week later now and my hand is still bruised up, just not as dark now.

They're shoveling bodies into the disorganized waiting room where the average wait time seems to be over an hour. I know this because my appointment was at 9:10am and its 10:10am and I'm still sitting here waiting to be seen. I can't comment on the actual doctor. My comment is towards whoever is mismanaging the appointment and patient intake process. Stop scheduling people 15 minutes apart when you know full well the average wait time is over an hour. Your staff and all of the patients will appreciate it.

The reason I am writing this review is. after 4 visits to their office after my surgery, and 6 months later, no one, his partner Dr Agee or any of the techs, or Dr Adams himself has given me any relief for my severely inflamed eyes after the surgery. I was told it was, dry eye, then allergies, then both dry eyes and allergies. They prescribed me some eye drops, that I told them didn't help and said basically live with it. Being the bulldog that I am, I did not accept this diagnosis. There is a whole world out there that treats dry eye. There is even a name for it "Blepharitis and MGD". Neither of these conditions where every mentioned before or after the surgery. There are specialists who treat this problem. I never had this problem before cataract surgery. They should of at least let me know it existed and had someone to send me to. I am seeing a specialist in Atlanta now, North Georgia Eye Clinic, that treats this problem. And I am not in pain anymore. I will not go back to Riverside Eye Clinic again. I am angry they left me just hanging with such a horrible condition and even more angry they either didn't know of the condition or chose to keep quite about the condition. Either way that is why a one star rating. Now they have the nerve to send me a bill for one of my visits that I had outstanding. So I am charged for not getting any help.

That said, the follow up experience has been extremely frustrating. My one week post op appointment was cancelled, and now my 30 day post op follow up has also been cancelled. I was told the reason was overbooking. I am a busy person as well, and I made a real effort to adjust my schedule to be available for these appointments. Last minute cancellations like this are disruptive and disrespectful of a patient's time, especially after surgery when follow up care matters. The issue here is not the doctor's skill, but the scheduling and practice management. This experience has left me disappointed and frustrated, and it needs to be addressed.

You walk in and a massive waiting area surrounds you. The check in window is easy to navigate and the staff quite efficient to verify your appointment and get further instruction. Depending on your type of appointment, there may be a bit of a delay getting in to see the Doc. However, this should not sway you, as it is about the quality of care which is undoubtedly the best around. Have dry eyes, cataracts, or glaucoma? Give them a call and take care of them peepers.

For starters, Vue Optical describes itself as a boutique eyeglass shop with independent designer…read moreframes. That's a bait & switch. Few top designer lines, and those they list on their website - like SALT. - they have in barely a handful of styles. They also use some funky lab, and first filled my RX (from an ophthalmology office in town ranked on the "Top Doctor" annual list) - without my approval, I'm all about brands - with some no-name label that was awful. Vue said they couldn't offer Zeiss lenses, the very best. And then when we agreed to try Hoya (or was that Shamir?), it was done by the same lab! With the $1k "office" progressive eyeglasses I bought from them last year, I should be able to see clearly from 12 inches to about 20 feet. Make that 8 ft, barely. And I get headaches and sleepy trying to read closeup for more than 30 minutes. Plus, super frustrating on top of that, the AR anti-reflective coating is obviously of such cheap quality that it's almost impossible to get rid of the smudges - even with those special eyeglass cloth wipes or washing with dishwasher soap. The shop is pretty, and the 2 saleswomen are lovely. The woman who sold me the frames and lenses sent my eyeglasses back to the lab 2x to "fix" them. I accepted them finally because it was embarrassing, and despite her politeness and seeming patience, I felt like a nuisance and flake. I greatly regret not being more assertive and demanding a refund. I'm 67, and have worn progressive eyeglasses 30+ years. I've bought in my former towns - NYC, Philly, SF, LA. And I've never ever ever had a problem, much less this maddening experience. Ok, I've got to stop. I'm getting sleepy from typing close-up. I'm giving 2 stars for the pretty shop and nice saleswomen. And I don't like to totally slam a business. But I'm certainly not coming back here.
