Good food for a good price. $ like $5 for a coffee and an omelet. Workers are cheerful and nice! Plenty of cushioned seating.

Five stars for a great little cafe inside CHOC - Children's Hospital of Orange County. This cafe is…read morelocated in the North Tower - you need to have a visitor badge - but its past the security booth on the first floor main lobby. Keep in mind this food won't knock your socks off - it's not going to win any awards, unless its awards in awesome comfort food. There is a variety of food options including a salad bar, hot food bar, pizza/fries/onion rings, as well as healthy food like acai bowls, poke, premade salad. A soup, as well as baked pastry bar is in the middle of the cafeteria, as well as chips, bottled drinks/juices/milk. They also sell Uncrustables and has an upright freezer filled with ice cream!!! What's great is that they pack all their hot food items in a to-go container - handy if you're on the run and don't have time to finish your meal. Service is great - the staff here are friendly and always smiling. Condiments and basic sauces (ketchup, mustard, spices, etc.), as well as utensils/napkins - are behind the cashier. Plenty of seating both indoors and outside on their patio. If you're looking for something lighter - there's a room full of vending machines just outside the cafeteria, to the right. No complaints about any of the food I ate the three times I stopped by here! I only took photos of my food, cuz it's a bit frowned upon to be snapping random photos inside a hospital.

Everything is à la carte but I had eggs, potatoes, toast and bacon with a fountain drink for $10…read more Decent food great service plenty of places to sit. Everyone is super helpful. This was the first floor cafeteria but they say the second floor cafeteria is a lot better but it's closed on weekends.

It's the perfect place to unwind with friends. Recently, my buddies ordered the beef stroganoff while I had my usual steak salad (which was spot‑on, as always). I tried a bite of their stroganoff and instantly knew I needed my own. The portion was huge, the flavor was incredible, and it completely exceeded expectations. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. The Tartan Room is exactly the kind of place locals like me keep coming back to. Thanks again -- you've earned another loyal visit from someone who's been in Orange for nearly five decades.

You can tell by the way the owner responds to reviews that he clearly doesn't take criticism well…read more Instead of addressing concerns professionally, he resorts to personal insults and low blows about people's appearance and financial situation just because they had an experience he doesn't want to own up to. The owner claimed we forgot our IDs, which isn't true. One of us simply left it in the car and went back to get it. He also claimed one of us was wearing a tank top, which was completely false. It was a regular short-sleeve shirt. Maybe the owner should learn what a tank top actually is before making assumptions and insulting customers. On top of that, making comments about people "living at home" and not being able to "afford sleeves" was immature, unnecessary, and honestly just embarrassing behavior from a business owner. The whole experience was strange and uncomfortable. Considering it was a weekend night and there were only about four people there, the place already looked like it was about to close down. After the way we were treated, it's not hard to see why. I give it a few years since most of it audience is old and passing away with it

From coffees and designer drinks to delicious meals and deserts the 4th Street Market has it all. A collection of great start up restaurants that offer friendly service and comfortable atmospheres both inside and outside. I love when I get the opportunity to work in the area and get to have lunch at one of the many restaurants. They occasionally have locations move out and new purveyors move in. Sometimes it is sad to see a location leave but the new restaurants that move in are almost always a great new experience. This is a place to visit when in the area or when planning a day passing through or near by. There is something for every taste including great coffee and deserts. Put it on your list and enjoy.

The options they do have are solid, though, and I enjoyed what I got. It's also a pretty cool place to walk around, and there seemed to be plenty of seating for everyone. Parking - They have a few parking structures available. It's free for the first hour, then $1.75 for each additional hour, which wasn't too bad.
