From the initial body collection through the funeral service itself, their team helped shoulder a burden that felt impossible at the time. Ian, Michelle, Andrea, and Fabian were all kind, attentive, and deeply respectful throughout the entire process. Being able to have everything coordinated and completed within a single week was nothing short of a lifesaver, and their willingness to open early for us was an extra act of kindness we won't forget. On the day of the service, all of the flowers sent by loved ones were beautifully arranged, adding a sense of care and dignity to the space. Death is never easy to accept, and navigating logistics while grieving only makes it harder. While no one can ease the loss itself, the people at Berge‑Pappas‑Smith made an incredibly painful experience more manageable through their empathy and support. For that, our family is sincerely thankful.

Seeing it in person did not disappoint. A beautiful, humble, nicely gardened funeral home. Lots of parking, lots of greenery. Even more beautiful in person. Gorgeous chapel with a view of a lush garden. Very private, not huge, but good for a medium/large size gathering. Best fit for 30 - 100ish people. The staff were incredible and incredibly kind. It's a family owned business, and it is clear that they have pride in the business with good reason. Sam was our point of contact and director and he did such a wonderful job both in explaining the process and kindness in his guidance from start to finish. Ian, Art, and everyone who helped is with the day were wonderful. A wonderful day & so happy we chose BPS COTA for this occasion. Highly recommended.

It's always tough and a sad occasion to bear the loss of a friend and a loved one, but I guess on a positive note it also meant the end of ones long endured pain and suffering - it's a celebration of life... As family and friends gathered to mourn, the scent of fresh flowers and solemn music filled the air . She was a caring and a loving person; she helped many and asked for nothing in return. She will be missed by all... This mortuary offered one room for viewing which had plenty of seating, a podium with microphone, a built in LCD projector and screen, a reception room with stained glass windows, a flat screen TV, a kitchen and restroom. Designated parking and entrance available for family members. This place was well kept all around and directors' were on site to assist. God bless her soul and may she rest in peace...

My grandfather worked for Mickey for about 20 years helping out with services there. These guys know what they're doing, they're professionals. They help make planning for services a lot easier on you, in really difficult times for families. Fremont Memorial Chapel, which is located closer to Fremont Blvd, you can actually have the service then have a gathering in the back room after with food/drinks etc. They have a place to set up the food/drinks, and about 11 tables that seat 6 people each. If you plan on having a service where you'd like to provide food/drinks after Fremont Memorial Chapel is the way to go. Fremont Chapel of the Roses is nice also, but they don't have a gathering place to eat/drink afterwards. That's ok, you can have your loved ones service there, then go and eat/gather at another place afterwards near by which a lot of people do.

Monte Vista provided a great deal of comfort and care to our family, specifically through the efforts of Armando and Andy. The care, creativity, and dedication they poured into every detail--coordinating Tommy's return from the San Jose airport, organizing the Sunday lying in repose at their beautiful Livermore location, including the moving tributes by the local fire departments on the way, the funeral service, the procession through Livermore, the service at St. Michael's Cemetery, the press outreach, and help with the reception--was extraordinary. Their work reflected not just professionalism, but generosity and heart. They made us feel supported, seen, and understood during an emotional and significant weekend for our family. We are especially humbled by their offer to name the veterans memorial section at Monte Vista in Lt. Kelly's memory. We understand that T.W. Starkweather is the one with the vision, and we are deeply grateful to him for this honor to Lt. Kelly. This gesture speaks volumes about the care MVMG extends to the families they serve and their deep respect for those who have served our country. I was looking at mortuaries, alone with an unfamiliar duty in an unfamiliar location. I finally turned to Yelp to see what was posted about mortuaries I'd looked at when David from Honor Cremations popped up to say he thought he could help me. I truly felt an instant feeling of safety and trust. Sometimes we're lucky enough to get guidance. David is kind, sympathetic and morale. I spent the next several years feeling secure for when the time came. One of the few things I was able to feel secure about. When my husband did pass in the middle of the night in the veteran hospital hospice, they knew to call Honor. Because it might take time for Honor to arrive, the hospital wanted to take my husband to their mortuary and I refused saying we would wait for Honor. I trusted them and knew he'd be in good hands and those feelings were right. The gentleman who arrived to take my husband helped the nurse prepare him so when he came out of the room he was draped in the American flag. With everything else my husband and I went through with the change in care facilities, finances, and just 'handling it all' as my husband's condition worsened over the years, David's honesty and compassion took this step off my shoulders. I have purchased Honor Cremation for myself, so our children have the confidence to know everything will be taken care of. Thank you David and Honor Cremations. When so many unexpected doors closed with years-long tragedy, you offered a safe open door.

Losing a parent is incredibly hard, but they handled everything with such a high level of dignity and grace that it truly eased some of the burden for us. Communication: From the very first call, I felt heard and supported. They were incredibly patient with all of my questions and kept me updated every step of the way, which gave me so much peace of mind. The Process: I found their approach to be very modern, transparent, and straightforward. There was never any pressure or "salesy" feeling, just genuine empathy and a focus on what my mother and our family needed. The Memorial: They helped us navigate the details for her memorial with so much respect. Everything was handled professionally, allowing us to focus on honoring her memory rather than worrying about the logistics. I am so grateful to have had their guidance during this time. If you are looking for a team that treats your loved ones with true honor and provides a seamless, compassionate experience, I cannot recommend them highly enough. I also really appreciated the honesty in their business model. I know it could technically be cheaper if they did every single thing in-house, but they intentionally use outside sources for certain steps to ensure everything is handled by specialists. I actually felt like I got more value this way because I knew I was getting the best possible care at every stage. It's also worth noting for other families that they don't have an embalming service; they focus purely on a dignified, natural process which was exactly what we wanted for my mom. I am so grateful to have had their guidance during this time. If you are looking for a team that treats your loved ones with true honor and provides a seamless, compassionate experience, I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you, Honor Cremation, for taking such wonderful care of my mom.
