We went to buy my daughter's first communion dress today. We were greeted so kindly by a younger employee- but then directed to wait for someone to help us with the dress selection. Antonella came to help us- and it was entirely unprofessional. She was opinionated in every aspect. My mother was paying for the items and she kept shutting her down. Did not allow us to really look at each dress and she chose the veil. Not a great experience for my daughter. Luckily she found something she liked. Would not recommend. Keep your employees in check! I visited this shop today, searching for a baptism dress for my daughter. I found this store online, which took me 1hr 1/2 drive. At arrival, I was not greeted by anyone at the store. I was looking through the dresses, and I was not sure what size to get for my daughter. I asked if I was able to try it on her and the lady at the register stated that per their policy, " I am unable to try on the dress nor exchange it if purchased for a different size" I find this policy obnoxious! How can one expect someone to buy a dress without even knowing if it will fit. I understand the "no return/no exchange policy." However, I think that being that I am unable to exchange for a different size, I should at least be able to try on the dress. I will not recommend this store to friends or family that are looking for baptism/ first communion apparel. read more

BUYER BEWARE of purchasing from St. Jude Shop out of Havertown, PA! I ordered a Nativity Scene that was advertised as "figures are average of 20 inches". The tallest was 18". The owner, DiCocco, had their employee, Doloras, to refund my money without paying for the postage and did not want to change their narrative so that they can continue to fraudulently charge people. Went to the store in Havertown PA. Bought my grandson a pair of white first holy communion shoes. Unfortunately they were too small; tried to get a refund and was told that they do not issue refunds on apparel. Nowhere online does it tell you that. Well, I won't be back. Located in the heart of Havertown. Plenty of off street (metered) parking $1 an hour This store has everything that you can think of that is needed for the church or for anything associated with the church. We went in for a white suit for my son and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I let my 7 year old take charge since he is friendly and he knows what we need. The salesperson was very good and patient with my son and giving him items to try on.. We ended up ordering a suit so I'm hoping it will be here next week as promised (update - It arrived on time). There are so many things we picked up since the place is really cool and well organized. We will definitely be back. read more

I looked for a First Communion dress for my granddaughter online as we have very few selections in town. This shop had the dress I wanted. Dolores was patient and so kind to pull the dress and made sure it was what I was wanting as the manufacturer had changed the lace a bit from the picture I had first seen. The dress arrived in Nashville promptly with time for any alterations if needed. But the dress fit perfect, exactly as described and was the right style for my tall slender girl. Called this no. 800-523-7604 to get an update on an order i made back in August, lady who answered was RUDE. I was not even half my question and she just shut me off. Ironical how you can work in a religious store and yet manage to be RUDE on the phone. You guys need to up your manners, by phone and email. read more

Purchased again from this store and .. I don't know why I did when I wasn't satisfied with my first experience here. I ordered an item, and a couple days later I got an email saying that my order was refunded and couldn't be fulfilled. I wasn't told why or given any additional information, so I called and asked. The guy on the other end, told me there was a price mess up on the website so they couldn't fulfill my order.. Ok well, how is that my problem? The price & order should still be honored. Everyone that works in retail knows this... Not to mention, how condescending & rude the guy I spoke to was. I already mentioned to him that I don't want the order (being a good person - I let them slide with this instead of having them take the loss) but he was just rude and condescending even when I said that. As I said in my last review.. I live in metro detroit, where majority of the people are Catholic Christians, so as always, I'll make sure nobody I know gives this place their business. If you're gonna be a Christian store, you should probably act according to Christian values.. as in, being nice to others. read more

We ordered a statue for a Christmas present in November. The statue was never delivered and they kept making excuse after excuse. Promising delivery that never happened. We finally cancelled the order and now they won't refund our money. We have had to file a claim against them to try and get our money back. This place seems like a complete fraud to us. I must say Judy was so helpful in shopping for a Communiond Dress. The Dresses they have are amazing top quialty . There is truely something there for anyone at any price point . She will make you feel like a princess all her items are beautiful and very special. Her attention to detail and truley caring about her customers is so heart warming ! She is such a kind women in so many ways ! She wants everyone to leave her store happy with whatever you came to buy. I would highly recommend them. The customer service is over and beyond superb ! Excellent customer service! Purchased Communion clothes for my son here. The jacket buttons (5 out of 7) fell off before we got to the church for the service. St. Jude employee was extremely professional. Gave us a full refund, fixed the jacket and gave it to us. Customer service is top notch! read more

Wow I can't believe I am the first to review this store. I was in here only once around christmas time to see if i could find a gift for my grandmother and I did, I found a lovely pendant in fact. I was surprised at how large the store is, really it's huge and they carry everything, just everything. Books, jewelry, statues, figurines, gifts for many occasions, anything you need for a first communion (party favors, clothing cards etc) , church supplies and more. Truly it was remarkable. Even though everything in the store is religion themed and I'm not really religious myself, I enjoyed just browsing around for awhile, and ended up getting more than I came in for after seeing a few books I couldn't resist. The store was clean, well organized and easy to navigate and the staff were very nice. I recommend it! read more

Mr. Robert DiCocco went out of his way to get me the specific candles I needed, and also guided me to options for a robe that was better suited for my clerical needs. This is a family business in the worst sense of the term. Every time you call you get a different person who knows nothing and must transfer you around. 9 days after my order I got a curt email saying my order was cancelled. I had to make two calls to find out they lost my credit card numbers. They promised me free shipping but 7 days later still no notice. After going through two more people who knew nothing they irritably told me they would call me back. I ordered a candle and I'm still waiting to hear if its even been shipped! The prices look good but be warned. read more
