This place is simply convenient to my job. This was my second rapid order, first order for my go duo went without fail, second one I did have to ask for a spoon per my order request and the cashier seemed upset that I ask her anything, but frankly I had no time to digest the rudeness, I'm grateful and unfortunately sometimes shocked these days when I receive a correct orders AND good service. Being Mother's Day my wife wanted a souffle from Bread company today. Got dressed and drove there. Walking in there was no line walked up and ordered a bacon and spinach souffle. Without missing a beat the cashier says, "We're not making soufflés today". Stepped away and called home informing her No go on the souffle. She then settled for a bacon, cheese and egg sandwich on brioche. I proceeded to order 2 of those sandwiches . The cashier asked, " Scrambled egg or over easy"? I ordered one of each and 2 cinnamon rolls. The cashier collected the $17 amount and gave me the cinnamon rolls. She directed me to wait at the far end for the sandwiches. There were 4 people working on completing this order of 2 sandwiches. The one girl had to tell the other 3 numerous times what the order was. After about ten minutes they handed me the completed order. Looking into the bag 1 sandwich was in wrapping paper while the other was in a carton. I proceeded to check the contents and informed them that both sandwiches had scrambled eggs not the 1 scrambled and 1 over easy. The counter girl proceeded to scrape the scrambled egg off 1 sandwich and stated she could not get it all off. The cook/counter person told her to put the over easy egg over what was left on there. She did and bagged it up. I got the obligatory "Sorry" and left. I fail to see what my wife likes about this place. The food is average and I feel overpriced, and service is always slow. One of our favorite places to stop when we go through Collinsville. I've been going to St. Louis bread Company for a very long time. I started a new job at one time, funny story, and everyone wanted me to try this new restaurant called Panera and they couldn't believe that I've never eaten there. They called me at Panera virgin. So I finally went to Panera and I thought this is an awful lot like St. Louis bread Company, Then the next time I went to St. Louis bread Company I realized yes they are than the same. But I love both I have a Panera near me now well not near enough but I do still like to go to St. Louis bread Company when going through St. Louis or Collinsville. Because I generally wait much longer here at this location than I am told for my food to be ready I switched to their on-line where you can pick ASAP (10-15 minutes) or pick a time. I picked a time over 30 minutes later. I even showed up 5 minutes late. I went to pick up area. Nothing. Spoke with the manager. She said they are swamped all of a sudden. I explained when I ordered. While I enjoy Bread Co from time to time as a St Louis resident this location always finds a way to surprise me with their underperformance. First I walk in while numerous employees working frantically behind the counter, yet none of which wanted to take my order for the first 3ish minutes that I was in the store. Once the order was placed it took 10+ minutes to be served, unfortunately my food came without a baguette; the staple of StL Bread Co. Then I noticed my food was lacking proper silverware another sign that they cannot get ahead on service; this was also representative in the general lack of cleanliness on the floors and tables. I honestly like this place, I like their food, I just want to have the same experience I have elsewhere in the Panera chain when I am at the closest location to my house. read more

This is by far the worst bread co around. I will always drive further to avoid this one! They never get our orders correct for breakfast. They are usually out of everything (I can only assume because they don't plan on doing much business and don't want to waste product) that in mind it is rather annoying when I want to go purchase bread - which is like their thing only to be told I can't because they need it for sandwiches because there wasn't enough made. I always enjoy going to Saint Louis Bread Company restaurants and this one is no different. It's in a good location and there are windows on two of the four walls, giving it a light and airy felling on the inside. The layout and items sold is the same. I've had nothing but excellent service from the staff at this location, although at times they do seem a bit rushed which can come off as rude. But there's always a smile and a "have a nice e day" when it's time to pick up my order. read more

I don't know what happened to their thinly sliced roasted chicken breasts that were in all of their dishes? This flatbread was full of inedible goop (I saw one cranberry) and the rest was white?? And the chicken was chunked with some very chewy - gross - pieces...and I would be lying if I said there were more than 4 pitiful "chunks" of chicken in it. Are my husband and I the only people who hate Panera's new,improved,healthy menu??? We both had many favorites from the old menu such as the onion soup and the oriental chicken salad. I walked in and instantly smelled the freshly baked muffins and cookies and was delighted to be greeted by a smiling worker on the cash register. I ordered a Frontega Chicken Panini with creamy tomato soup and a baguette. After a short wait, my buzzer went off and I was greeted by a well mannered young man with a Cathy name tag.
