    Fajita Bowl
    Kelse S.

I've been coming to Crazy Bowls and Wraps since I was little, and I love how I can always count on my order to be flavor consistent. It's a great way to get something quick on the go that's not fried fast food. I went to workout yesterday and decided to stop by to eat inside and listen to a podcast. Since the pandemic started, we've only done takeout. The service was quick at the counter. I ordered a regular sized fajita bowl with chicken and jasmine rice. I took a seat and grabbed some presorted condiments. I love their corn salsa! The seating area hadn't really been bussed, which I feel is due to short staffing. The crew was working hard and quick, I appreciated how they took care of me with my interactions! I love their black sesame seeds :) My bowl was good and spicy! I feel like the chicken portion wasn't as big as it typically is, which is why I'm giving the 4 stars. If you're looking for a good suggestion, you can't really go wrong with anything here! I love the chicken Caesar wrap as well.

    Salt and Lime Edamame

I wish I had an amazing "fast food" healthy restaurant such as crazy bowls and wraps in Chicago! Went to STL for work twice and had my meals here to make sure I stayed fueled up. The spicy teriyaki bowl is amazing and I was so full afterwards. Salt and lime edamame was good, but tasted like plain edamame- needs some lime zest or something! The cauliflower appetizer was a bit bland. Go for the bowls and you will not be disappointed. They also have bottled kombucha available here.

There is no flavor in the protein and everything is SUPER dry. Also the "vegan" protein is cooked on the same grill as the meat

Great service, friendly staff, but the blandest food ever. Nice try though. At least it's kind of healthy.

We were 11th in line when we signed up, and by the time we arrived, we had moved up to 5th. Since it was raining, we decided to wait in the car. When we reached 3rd in line, we were unexpectedly removed from the waitlist. I tried calling the phone number listed on Yelp, which was the same number displayed on the building, but it went straight to what sounded like a personal cellphone voicemail. We decided to go inside anyway and discovered the waitlist wasn't necessary because there were plenty of tables available. The menu had a lot of interesting options, although I wish it included photos of the dishes. We ordered the Hawaiian Bowl, the Truffle Burger, and what I believe was the Blueberry Jam Burger, along with regular fries and sweet potato fries. The burgers were juicy and flavorful, and each bun was stamped with the Circle 7 branded logo, which was a nice touch. The Hawaiian Bowl was delicious and generously portioned. I had enough left over for another meal. The atmosphere is definitely more of a sports bar than a traditional restaurant. Every wall seemed to have multiple TVs, making it easy to watch the soccer matches from just about anywhere in the dining room. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and checked on us several times throughout the meal. Before leaving, we couldn't decide on just one dessert, so we ordered the dessert sampler. The cobbler was the standout--it tasted homemade, especially the crust, and all of the desserts were served with ice cream. The only disappointment was the brownie, which was quite hard instead of soft and fudgy. Overall, we enjoyed the food and the service. The only downside was the confusing Yelp waitlist experience, which could definitely use some improvement.

There are only about 12 to 13 seating options, with only about 5 or 6 of them being non-bar height options. Nikki was our server; she was awesome, helpful & attentive! Everything is a la carte. Boooooooo! Lol. I'm not a huge fan of restaurants that serve a la carte. But whatevs. I started with the Charleston drink. It was good and strong; came out in a fancy box w a lil smoke. It was semi dramatic, lol. We decided to order the collards and spinach artichoke dip to start with. It was good. It gave spinach and artichoke dip for the most part. The seasoned saltine crackers that accompanied that were not my favorite, but not the worst, & we had to ask for more to finish the dip (we were unexpectedly charged for them -_____-). I wish it was pita bread or pita chips instead, but I guess the crackers are Lucy's special touch. We finally decide on food; she got the catfish po boy, I got the brisket sandwich. She said her sandwich was FIRE but I didn't try it so I can't speak to that unfortunately. My brisket sandwich was ok; it had queso on it and it was kinda cold which was wack. The sandwich was a decent size for sure, I just could have went for a different bread personally. The ciabatta bread overpowered the actual meat. I asked for bbq sauce to dip and eat pieces of the brisket. I want to come back and try the Brussels and catfish po boy myself.

Because who just eats at one place when you can aggressively commit to 2 places? At Little Lucy, I ordered The Charleston, which is their smoked old-fashioned, and yes, it comes with a whole dramatic tableside smoke show. It's like dinner theater but with bourbon. It tasted like a campfire if that campfire also happened to major in mixology. Alongside it, we got the collard greens and artichoke dip, which was creamy and earthy. Loved it?! I didn't catch his name, but the long haired boy who sat my family and I threw our silverware on to the table; and I mean quite literally threw it on to the table. I made it a point to watch him sit a couple other families and he didn't repeat the gesture. I should mention we're a black family. Nonetheless, our server was a very nice lady throughout the whole meal, so she was tipped well. I ordered their sportsman burger. While it looked great, it didn't taste as good as it looked. They used a cheese spread which definitely isn't for me. The quality of the meat and buns was great, however; and my family found their meals filling. Lastly, The restaurant is small but extremely well decorated. We enjoyed the ambiance.

The place was mostly empty and there was nice slow music on the background. Our server was nice and helpful. Our food was ok. My husband was excited to try the famous chili and did not love it. I was looking forward to trying the potato skins and those were very underwhelming. It was more of a loaded baked potato situation. And one of my favorite ingredients- green onion was not part of it. I got chicken sandwich with bacon, had to ask for sauce because it had none. Husband got a Ruben and said it was lacking good amount of sauce and sour kraut. Steak fries are very very plain. Curly fries were ok. It is hard to say whether we will return or not.
