THE BEST PLACE ON EARTH for bread! I have been here in years and I am so happy I had the chance to return while I was in town. Their bread is by far the best bread I have ever had. There juniors bring back great memories for me....ate one with others as soon as I got back in the car! I also ordered a fantastic chocolate and raspberry mini cake. The raspberry filling was in the middle. The outside was a chocolate ganache and the inside was like a truffle. This is one of my favorite bakeries on Long Island. All of the bakery items are freshly made. Love rustic bread and beautiful pastries. Not only does it look good, but it tastes even better. OMG. Not only do they put out some amazing pastries. They have some great Italian food as well. Went to the St. Rocco's feast. Had tons of pasta dishes like rigatoni a la vodka , sausage and peppers , Chicken parm and eggplant parm. Just a heads up they only take cash in the bakery. The lobster tails with French cream are out of this world amazing. The chocolate chip cookies here are different then any other place. They actually shred the chocolate chips so when you bite into the cookies your getting a bite of chocolate in every bite ! Pretty smart. Everything here is always fresh. They bake breads for Most of the local restaurants. Great Semolina and a great Raisin bread. You will not leave this bakery hungry !! They just recently expanded with tables and chairs. I can't say enough about St. Rocco's Bakery in Glen Cove, NY. They are located by the St. Rocco's RC Church. All the food is heavenly. I met some friends at St. Rocco's to enjoy a hot breakfast and their delicious pastries. For years, St. Rocco's was known for their baked bread and fresh rolls. They were warm and delicious. Now, St. Rocco's has expanded their indoor seating area, so there is always a place to sit inside. There are tables outside, as well, so it's your choice where you choose to eat your food. There is a wide variety of breads, rolls and pastries to choose from each day. Everything is fresh! If you want hot food there is plenty to choose from. On my last visit, I enjoyed a blueberry pastry that tasted amazing. We had hot coffee and tea all fresh. If you want local flavor you must visit St. Rocco's Bakery. The owner and the servers are friendly and always willing to give you suggestions if you ask them. Next time you are in Glen Cove stop at St. Rocco's Bakery and enjoy their food and pastries. Well sorry but it's getting overrated. They don't post any prices and play stupid when you ask them why they charge you differently everyday. they change the price every time I order the same items. I've addressed them about this kindly and the owner acted like it was a one time thing meanwhile it's not. If they were honest they'd post the prices like every other business. The bread is good everything else is cheaply made. Don't ruin the bakery and be HONEST POST PRICES it goes a long way. It's not about a dollar here or there, it's the principle. read more

I'm a 90's kid so when you say the name "Rocco" I immediately think of a cartoon wallaby (also spelled differently). This is no disrespect to the saint, because I'm pretty sure that animal-Rocco didn't have an awesome bakery in his possession. I ventured to St. Rocco's with my buddy a couple weeks ago and it gave new, delicious meaning to that name. I mean you can head over to Glen Cove during the ever popular Feast of St. Rocco, but good luck finding parking and any room to breathe. A better time to swing by is any other nice weather day. Yeah you could grab a seat at the handful of tiny tables inside the bakery, but you'd be missing out on the beautiful brick exterior of the place as well as the lovely grass courtyard. Take in the regulars as they throw a few lines of Italian to one another and you almost feel like perhaps you're not on the North Shore of LI. Honestly, I came here with my buddy for lunch, not thinking we'd actually grab any dessert....don't even think you're leaving here without at least a small post-meal morsel. But first, pizza. Yes, you read me right. SR uses their bodacious brick oven to cook up some fresh pizza love and so we each chowed down on a slice of Sicilian. Though it wasn't super hot, the sauce, cheese, and most importantly bread/dough was cooked wonderfully. It hit the spot when it comes to pizza slices. Beyond this Italian item were some paninis, savory breads, and trays of hot food which had me intrigued for the future. And now, dessert. Exquisite cakes, cookies, and pastries line multiple glass display cases. There's even gelato if you need to cool off. But what I wanted was a cannoli. Don't happen to see them? Don't worry. That's because they're made to order meaning you're getting high quality here. Oh god (or Rocco), this was one of the creamiest, most delicious cannolis I've ever consumed. If calories didn't exist I would've considered a second round, but that'll be next time. Overall, there will be a next time, because St. Rocco's does things with extra attention, giving the customer true tastiness in their food. A friendly group of employees along with respectable pricing makes this an easy five star spot (or 4.75 just because my pizza could've used another minute in the oven). So if your idea of Rocco is a little outdated and/or you like fresh Italian grub, get here and bask in the glory of this tasty saint. read more

I love the pastries, but the customer service was not good. The girl that helped me rushed thru my order and when I got home I noticed she got it all wrong. I was so upset because I drove from far to try this bakery for the first time and my experience was not a good one. And I'm not sure if they don't accept credit cards or their machines were just not working that day. Luckily I had cash on me but otherwise it would have been a bust. read more

I came here and got a chocolate cake for my friend's birthday. The cake was super good and the writing on it was clean. The wait time was pretty long, but it was worth it. There is a nice seating area outside. It is also worth noting that they're cash only. All in all, I would recommend St. Rocco's for a cake better than one from the grocery store. read more
