they have a poor selection of clothes, and the boutique is way too overpriced and has items from Ross listed at the same price you could get it from Ross. Most of the clothes are not worth the price listed, and the way they organized most of the clothes is very frustrating, its a whole workout just to look at shirts since they're on racks that should just be for dresses. they have plenty of furniture and the workers are very nice, but if you're looking for clothes you won't find anything good here. read more

It feels clean for the most part ... they are getting much better with their organization! Should really consider a free bin for broken or slightly damaged items. I could send a real long time here in this thrift shop. They had so many things I wanted to buy or get! I bought Band of Brothers DVD set for $4, old vintage hard cover books from the 1800s for only $1, a marbleized tee, and a red purse for $4. I was very excited to buy the books. Some of them were poems and stories by Edgar Allen Poe or Robert Browning. They are a treasure to me. My friend bought one of the old books there too. She was fascinated by how people wrote and talked back in the 1800s. $1 for antique books - a major steal! So every thrift store I visit, I like to take pictures of angels or signs in the store. Just a little ritual I follow. In this thrift store, I found a black angel. Thrilling! They are rare finds. read more

Wow! I was so excited to find time while in St Augustine to stop in at this gigantic thrift store. My excitement soon turned to sadness. I am usually not one to leave negative reviews but.. what a terrible attitude the staff had especially the woman at the front door register. The attitude and way she spoke to patrons was unprofessional and frankly just rude. She needs to remember it may be the 1000th time she had answered a question but it is the 1st time that person has asked it. Easy, customer service. I had found a few treasures while shopping but quickly put them down as I did not want to interact with the staff. I will take myself back to Jax Beach where the staff at my local St Vincent Thrift is fun, welcoming and kind. read more

Have been a customer at this store many years, off and on depending on prices and management. The current manager is a nice guy, but the powers that be, apparently above him that dictate pricing are out of touch with what other thrift stores are charging. For example, they clearly are overloaded with books that are not selling, so someone there (who clearly knows nothing about the used book market) gets the great idea to jack up the prices. There is no reason behind how they arrive at these prices other than someone is just making them up. No one is going to pay $5 for a 10 yr old used textbook or $4-8 for some random beat up fiction book that sells at Goodwill for $1-$2. I can see going from 50 cents/$1 to $1/$2 to compete with the other thrift stores, so why not just change your sign to reflect flat prices instead of random crazy prices? Not to mention the time being wasted having someone sticker every book. Flat pricing that matches other nearby would fix things for all (give store an increase without alienating long time customers) Customers are not going to pay triple over what other thrifts charge. I already know of one guy who is a volume buying book buyer (and he is not an online seller) who said he will no longer shop here. I will still check periodically but expect to only spend a few dollars occasionally .There was a time (prior two managers) when I spent over $100 a week. Disappointing for now and hope for a better change down the road. read more

St Vincent's is a thrift store that accepts, cleans up, and resells charitable donations, one of several ways in the community to find new homes for gently used items. Inside, you can find a little bit of everything. They have furniture, clothing, books, kitchenware, furniture, electronics (some a little dated!), and numerous other items. The patient can certainly find some gems here. Real wood furniture can be difficult to find though, as those items get snapped up pretty quickly. Donations are incredibly easy. If you're by during off hours, they have a drop off area. It's not terribly protected from rain, so pay attention if you choose to do that. (It's also open to anyone walking by, if you're particular about where your donation goes) If you have a large donation, you can request pickup with their truck. A great thrift store located on the north side of town, very easy to find off US1 and tons of parking. The store is clean and fairly well organized, with a nice selection of clothes, books, and housewares. The real star of this place is the furniture selection, it's pretty impressive for a thrift store. They have a huge room in the main building and also a giant warehouse in the back with tons of furniture, shelves, tables, etc. I can usually find something cool here, but man if you are in the need for some furniture this is the place. Friendly staff, good prices, and an easy going experience. I try to stop in every few weeks to check out the new selection. Definitely worth a walk through. read more

This place is Ridiculously overpriced! Clothing is relatively cheap but all furniture is the same price you would pay at a brand new furniture warehouse and it's very used and some of it just junkie. It literally cost $35 for a plastic lawn chair with a broken arm. Really really really disappointed with the store! You would also think that because everything is donated and they have a warehouse in the back filled to the brim with stuff that's been in there for over a year that they would discount but no. Words cannot adequately describe this store. It is the cleanest most organized, well thought out and arranged store, bar none I've been in. And I thrift a lot. Big cities little towns this one out ranks them all. The items were all in A-1 shape, a huge selection of furniture, the chair I liked had already been sold. The prices were reasonable. I've never been happier, instead of a souvenir T-shirt for $25.00 I got a got a wagon load of treasures that will make me smile for a long time. Thrift shops receive donated goods for resale to the communuuty at large TO RAISE MONEY FOR SOCIAL PROGRAMS TO ASSIST THE POOR AND HOMELESS." This does not mean the prices will be set for sale to those who are poor. Additionally, most thrift shops have voucher programs where qualifying applicants can receive, for example, a $100 voucher toward the purchase of items in the store.
