As a homeless veteran who recently found housing, I came to this Goodwill hoping to find a few affordable items to help set up my place. I had read a lot of negative reviews beforehand but decided to give it a chance anyway. Unfortunately, my experience lived up to those reviews. I encountered multiple rude employees. When I asked a male employee for help, he dismissed me by saying, "I'm busy." At the register, an older white female employee who identified herself as a manager was extremely unprofessional. When I asked for her name, she refused to give it and walked away mid-conversation. She told me that lowering the price would be "taking money away from those who need it," while laughing and chuckling as if this were not a professional work environment. I tried to explain that Goodwill is a nonprofit and that the items are donated to help people in need, but she seemed unwilling or unable to understand that perspective. She refused to adjust the price on donated, used items that were already overpriced. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, especially for someone who genuinely needed affordable household items. I won't be returning, and I hope management takes customer service and professionalism more seriously--especially when serving vulnerable members of the community. read more

The girl over charged me ,so I spoke to a Manager and she said they don't give refunds, but I lived in St Augustine since 1991 and the old goodwill on us south was cheaper, but after they moved it is too expensive, clothes stained and very worn out, they need an electrician to make sure electric stuff works, due to no refund policy. It was my first time going to this new store, but not returning my money because of the girl talking to the other cashier, she rang up items twice, the Manager even said she identifies herself as a male, what in the hell has that do to her mistakes? I will never go there again. Nothing is organized as small, medium, Large or extra large,plus the shoe's are the same way, it takes hours to shop in an unorganized store with stupid rules and managers telling customers about identity like the girl identified as a male, managers should never speak private information about there worker's. Shoes were dirty and expensive, Goodwill was to help poor people, not Rich people. Very disappointed read more

Whoever is responsible for shipping items purchased through ShopGoodwill.com is incredibly bad at their job, and if you inquire about it they send a snarky response. I'll steer clear of this location when I shop online in the future. read more

My mother passed away so I had about 3 bags of clothes and a suitcase as I start getting rid of her things. It is 95 degrees and I'm disabled. There was a car in front of me but they were pulling things out one by one and looking at them. I didn't have time for this I had people to meet. So I went and put the things in an empty bin and they start yelling at me, but they don't help. So I got the other two bags and the one lady there who was doing nothing but bossing the other one around started yelling shit at me saying I can't wait, then she got nasty. I don't have time to sit there and look at things one at a time. They were so ungrateful I will never donate there again. Too many charities here. read more

Last year, it was sort of blah. Now it's in disarray. Lots of women's stuff. Almost no men's stuff by comparison. Maybe they'll have it sorted by the time you arrive. It's odd that this location has so much competition, but it does. One gets the feeling there's change afoot, but it wasn't worth my time. read more

The one and only time I visited this place was about a year after I was hit by a truck as a pedestrian. As expected, I was wheelchair bound. I rolled in IN MY WHEELCHAIR. Keep that in mind. We looked around some, but there were cobwebs on everything, dust everywhere, and the items had the original price stickers on them and Goodwill marked up the price. So much for a donation... (TL;DR: Made eye contact with cashier when entering the store in my wheelchair, parked in disabled space, look obviously disabled - lady still tried to assert that I stole my own wheelchair and tried to call the police all without me saying a single word to her. Did not apologize, hid in the back instead.) Anyway, we leave without buying anything. The whole time I am in my wheelchair, with my boyfriend pushing me. The chick, Nicole I think, at the register yells out after me, pointing and on the phone. I get in my car, parked in the disabled space in front of the store with my handicap placard visible. She is adamant that I stole my own wheelchair. It's not in perfect condition, it's a basic one you get from insurance, and she's saying I stole it. It cost $25 brand new. Come on. Two guys come out and inquire about it, apologizing when they immediately see that she was completely wrong. Another lady comes out and tells me it's not that big of a deal as if I have called out the manager and security guard myself. Like, no, this lady was presumptive and apparently blissfully unaware that we had made eye contact when I entered the store. I have never been back since. She offered me no apology, no admission that she was wrong, she instead went to go hide after she was made aware of her mistake. What's even more embarrassing is that I even LOOK disabled. I can't imagine what unimaginable stink she raises for those with invisible disabilities in wheelchairs. 1 star is a kindness to this store. read more

Went to drop off donations and the man didn't wait for me to walk around to help, DRAGGED the dresser out of my trunk, left paint transfer and scratches on the back of my bumper, and then proceeded to rudely tell me "wipe it with soap it'll be fine" and then walked away. I would rather drive an extra 20 minutes to donate items at a goodwill that isn't going to ruin my property whilst trying to be charitable. read more

This Goodwill is set up totally different than what I've ever seen in a Goodwill before, and I've shopped in locations in many different states. This location does not sort by size, so it is extremely difficult to locate clothing in a specific size. They just group all clothing together according to type, like all dresses together, all pants together, etc. Then you have sort through them all looking for your size. It gave me extreme anxiety. It was also hard to locate pricing. They did not make the signage very visible. I would recommend going else where to thrift shop, especially if you're in a time crunch. read more

Clothing was very poorly organized, if at all. Store was incredibly dirty. Moved a piece of luggage to look at something behind it and bugs scattered from under the luggage. Would not return nor recommend this location to anyone. read more

Been in her 2 times when I've been in the area, and both times sucked. Clothing is arranged by color instead of sizes, which makes for a very frustrating attempt to find particular sizes. This is a pretty nice Goodwill store located right on US1- easy to access and plenty of parking. They have a nice drive-thru drop off area which makes donations easy. Friendly staff and a clean and well-organized store make it easy to browse and find items. This store is mostly clothing items, mainly women and children. Each area is very well organized by type of clothing, size and color. They also have a decent size housewares selection. Not a whole lot in terms of books, movies, and furniture, but if you time it right I'm sure you can find something that tickles your fancy. Overall I enjoy stopping in to this store from time to time, I usually don't find a lot to purchase but it's fun to browse and check out the selection. read more

Big store but isn't organized by size which makes it hard to find clothes. I did however find a cute picture frame and glass storage container . Both equaled to be around $5 which was fair for me . Quality of clothing wasn't very good though. read more

My favorite Goodwill so far. I like their books, dvds, and cds. Clothing seems pricey, yet you can find brand new clothes there with tags.

This place sucks for men. On vacation from Miami. And i love to go thrifting when out of town came here to see what i can find. And i was so disappointed. When i first walk in it was a pretty big place but then went to the mens section and it was only and the had only like 2 rows of men stuff and it was all horrible stuff. The ONLY Goodwill I have visited that sorts the clothing by color, not by size. So instead of being able to just go through one aisle in your size, you have to search the entire Women's section ... VERY time-consuming. read more

Pretty nice store. Has a large selection of clothes, some books and misc items. It charges $5 for a women's blouse which is high. Other things seem ok. Store is rather blah in appearance inside. Some stores are fabulous and others aren't. Good parking lot and easy to get to. read more

Awesome thrift store! You can find quirky stuff here, DVD,s cd's, records, household knick knacks, clothes and just about anything else. It has good parking and is a big store but it does get crowded when there are a lot of customers read more

This is my favorite thrift store in St Augustine. It is ALWAYS staffed by very nice and helpful ladies. The items are well organized and displayed and it is always neat and clean. If I have items to donate this is where I take them. read more
