I usually like thrift shopping, but something about this store just gave me a disgusting feeling. First off, the store is filthy, and a lot of things in there are very overpriced for a thrift store. I made the mistake and used the restroom and it smelled like very strong cat pee and I literally thought I was going to throw up. I think I was inside the store maybe five minutes and I had to leave because it was just disgusting. Also, I said hello to one of the Hispanic workers and he looked at me crazy. My GPS had a hard time finding this place but we did eventually locate it. If you're used to shopping at Goodwill, be aware that there are huge signs saying "Do not shop the bins" (despite said signs, a guy was doing just this until the staff called him on it). There was some furniture here, which you don't see at every thrift. Worth checking out, if you can find it! read more

So far this is the best thrift store in the Joliet area. It's in a great area. The parking lot is just awful and they're currently not taking in donations.. The inventory is immense. Tons of clothes and nic nacs mainly. They're sold at great prices. Store is sadly dimly lit as well. Employees are super friendly none the less read more

I can't believe the state this store was in! I've been in here before and it wasn't as bad as this! It looked as though someone had backed up a truck and just dumped the contents in here. It is WAY overloaded with stuff! Too much to even begin to look. It was also filthy! I hate to say it, but it was. What a mess. This store is in a small space and it is packed with items. Even though it is an older building, it is clean. Parking can sometimes be difficult because it is so limited. They have numerous and varied items; I have purchased knick-knacks, housewares and shirts. There are some clothes that I would not put on the floor because they are faded but there are usually several nice items, too. Employees are fairly friendly, but there used to be one man in particular who was great; however, I have not seen him in among time. He was perfect for public work. This is My favorite place for buying movies and clothes. They keep their DVD and VHS Section very well stocked and I always end up buying tons of good movies. They're all 1.99 so you can't go wrong with that price. The employee who rung me up was very calm and sweet and actually took the time and opened each dvd case to check if the right disc was in and let me know that one was really scratched up. I also find lots of really nice clothes there from time to time but pants are not easy to find if you're a man and wear size 40x40. Most of their clothes are women's and I really think they should expand the men's section. read more

This location is okay, but not great. Recently we cleaned out some spare rooms and the basement and so we donated several van loads to St. Vincent's, as we like their mission. The items at this location are not bad, but nothing to make a special trip for. I will say that the merchandise at the location downtown Joliet seems better. But, as a donation location, this branch was ideal. read more

This review is based solely off of their children's clothing selection. Personally the best thrift stores I have been to are in sketchy areas of town, are dirty inside and out, and require some "digging" to find a treasure. This place does not disappoint on the neighborhood or level of filth, but unfortunately that's where it ends. They have shopping carts which helps a ton if you have to drag a child along for the ride. Speaking of children, the children's clothing is absolutely awful. I have tried this place on numerous occasions because I know thrift stores are hit or miss, but I've never had any luck. The clothes they're trying to sell are stained, ripped, and just plain disgusting. It is laughable when you see their condition and then look at the price tag! I wouldn't use those nasty clothes for cleaning rags. Mondays are half off, that's the only day I recommend visiting. read more

Zero stars!!! The employees at this location are absolutely despicable. I went there on 10/22/17. I watched the overweight Mexican lady that said she was the manager and the guy with red hair treating a customer like garbage. The woman was there with her small children trying to redeem a voucher for free clothes and received the worst service I've ever seen at any place of business. The woman was unfamiliar with how the vouchers work. Rather than calmly explaining it to her, the manger took it upon herself to belittle her and also talk down to her children. Then the manager also claimed that the woman was giving her an attitude. I witnessed the entire interaction and the attitude was all on the other side of the counter. The red headed employee was trying to describe the color tag system to the customer. When the woman's daughter (who was no more than 10 years old) asked her mother what the color ivory was, he replied in a real snotty tone of voice "it's a color, that's what it is." Who talks to a child like that?!? The woman said she would come back on Tuesday when the vouchers are valid and the "manager" refused to give her back the vouchers. This was after she SNATCHED them out of her hand. So not only did she walk out without the clothes she needed, but she also had to forfeit the vouchers. What these employees need to realize is that Joliet is a primarily low income city. People around here live paycheck to paycheck. They're shopping at a thrift store, not Nordstrom's. There is no excuse for anyone to be treated like that. It's hard enough for someone to swallow their pride to come in with these free clothing vouchers. When they're treated like garbage, it makes it even worse. I felt so bad for her that I didn't buy a damn thing. I walked out right behind her and I will never return. I will also advise everyone I know to stay clear of this place. I had no intentions of leaving this review but after witnessing her daughter crying her eyes out in the parking lot, I felt it was necessary to spread the word. I told the lady where the corporate office is located and looked up the phone number for her. She said she will call in the morning and I will also do the same. I wish I had extra money with me at that point because I would've took her shopping somewhere else. We are all human beings and we deserve to be treated as such. read more

This is the best thrift store for my money. Great quality of clothing on the racks and better prices than Goodwill. Half off Monday's is the best bargain. Very clean and well organized. Easy to get into but making a left turn out takes a little longer but worth the wait. The store manager Luis is a busy guy but if you can nail him down for a few minutes he usually gives a little better deal on furniture and housewares. read more
