Bought this dress there and felt gorgeous all night! The hubby couldn't take his eyes off me and we danced all night!

I always find great deals here and the volunteers are charming. Stopped in while my daughter was playing in an all day soccer tournament. Ended up in the store for hours, finding all sorts of treasures, from books to housewares to new (yes, new) soccer cleats. That was 10 years ago, i've been coming back ever since (and it's a 30 minutes drive each way!) read more

There is no organization. When someone says their room is "an organized mess" that's what this store is. And dome, not all of the workers are rude. One worker was very rude to me and gave me an attitude. That was my first and last time going to this store. read more

Was in there today. Clean store, staff is friendly, and I got an incredible deal! The previous reviews of over priced and unfriendly staff didn't match what I experienced so maybe they've done a better job managing both of those issues. Red tags are $1 each and they have sales on different days of the week. Highly recommend this place, I got Express, NYC and Franco Sarto as a couple of the items from today. read more

very much a hit or miss type of store of the clothes and nick knacks i admire, typically grandma-esque. the staff are very nice and are more than happy to help costumers tirelessly!!! prices can be such a steel or over priced depending on item type. good book selection read more

On the Pro's side......this place is VERY clean, the items for sale are generally very clean, there are Brand names to be found, they have some great sales & markdowns (keep an eye on their FB page for sale announcements) the staff is very friendly and helpful. On the Con's side.......most of the clothes are priced WAY too high. I almost always shop when they have a Sale. And I have been in the store while the staff was sorting through the donation bags. They were excited about the Brand name items (Under Armour, etc), many new with tags, and they were taking them and putting them to the side for themselves. I'm assuming they were paying for the items BUT I have donated items here........I'm not donating my items to benefit the staff. If you're going to do that, maybe do it in the back, out of earshot of the customers. read more

Okay....so today I went and found a cuisinart toaster for $8. Yes. I. Did. I did overhear a young employee tell the older cashier to 'not sell something' as she was setting the item to the side. I really believe that's the spoils of working in a thrift store. I mean, if I get to see something as I'm sorting thru donations I would do the same! Still loving this store! read more

I will NEVER shop here again. The paint I use is sold here, but I will look for another shop that sells the paint. The two women who worked here today were engaged in a very loud very inappropriate conversation that could only be construed as racial profiling. They continued the conversation as they walked around the store. There were probably 5 customers and 2 customers walked out within a couple of minutes. The employees were completely oblivious as to how customers were reacting to their words. Shameful behavior. read more

The selection here seems a bit more upscale that your typical Goodwill-type resale store. I'm guessing that is because the store supports a local private school, and a lot of donations come from the families that send kids to that school, and my guess is people that live in a great public school district and still choose private school must have big bucks and as such, their cast-offs are nice. Which is fine with me! I was there around Christmas time searching for gifts (my family is big on thrifting). This place is really good for that, because the selection is so nice. There were lots of trinkety houseware things, clothes, lots of children's toys, some books. The store was really packed with stuff, which made it a little hard to maneuver once my arms were full. Also, because the selection is nicer, the prices are a bit higher than Goodwill-type stores. read more

I love going to the Nearly New Shop. It's a not for profit shop that benefit a local school. I find great deals like fill up a shopping bag for $5! Wow! The quality of the merchandise are brand names, like Liz Clay born, Jones ,Talbots, etc. The prices are alittle more than the average resale shop but the brands and quality make up for that. The staff are mostly volunteers who are very nice and helpful The store is very organized with the current season merchandise that is color organized...how easy to match up an outfit! I heard they will also soon be starting art classes too! I try to stop in at least once a month. When I do Spring Cleaning I have a bag that I organize just for donations to this shop. I recommend that everyone stop in sometime and check the shop out! But check their website because their hours vary day to day, that is the only inconvenience I have with the shop. read more

Not impressed. Staff did not make it feel inviting whatsoever. Women's clothing was decently priced but the kids clothes were more expensive and priced the same as adult clothing! Kids clothing is a rip off. Found an old beat up looking T-shirt for kids marked at $4. Bought myself a nice long sleeve shirt marked at $3. So, is safe to say I won't be going back. read more

They have very nice things but I was in there several months ago and my foot caught on a bed rail that was sticking out in the aisle. I fell hard. Didn't even have time to put my hands out to break my fall. I landed on my face. My husband had to help me up. No employee came to my aid. No one took my name. There was no accident report filled out. No offer of ice even though my cheek was swelling and discoloring. Unprofessional even for volunteers. read more

The items are priced high in my opinion especially since it's not boutique-like. The staff is not very friendly or helpful. They do a fill up a bag deal every once in a while, and that's about the only time I'd shop for clothing here. read more

Wow, I'm shocked at the negative reviews here. I shop here all the time. What a relief from the usual second hand junk! This store is set up like a boutique and is organized nicely so you can find what you're looking for. The ladies who work here are so nice and if a person felt ignored, all they would have to do is speak up and ask for help. I guarantee if that ladies knew there was someone needing help they would respond. One thing that is great about this store is the attitude toward children. They've set up the toys in an inviting way so children can play while you shop and it's such a small store it's easy to keep them in view. Other places I've been have been downright rude about my children touching their toys. Nearly New staff are all very sweet and accommodating. They also have wonderful sales! Every time I've needed something I've found it there. Once, on the way to ballet, I hadn't packed my daughter's leotard and shoes. She was a size 3T at the time. Frantic I pulled into Nearly New and ran in searching the children's rack. Guess what I found? A pink leotard in a 3T and ballet slippers her size for about $4 total. Can't beat that. Another time, I needed a dress for a wedding and I found a perfect gown that fit perfect for under $20. This place is a gem. read more

I took my time to go through all the clothing racks and found a few items....when I went to check out, the clerk stated that the pants that were marked $5.00 were mis-marked and that they are actually $8.00. She stated a new girl started and she marked them wrong....that's not my fault. When I stated they were for my niece, and I wasn't sure if they even would fit, she suggested that I buy them and re-donate them back to the store if they didn't fit...um, no thanks! I just visited Nearly New today, and the sales lady couldn't have been nicer! I got 3 tops for absolutely great prices $3 - $5 each, plus they were having a 40% off sale this week (wk of 4/21/14). So, get yourself over there and check them out. There are some things that aren't very high-end, but there are also treasures in there, priced just as well as the other stuff. It's nicely organized, and if you like the thrill of the hunt, you could very well likely find something great there just like I did! read more

I like to try different resale shops, and usually find them helpful and friendly, but this one is one of the worst run shops I have ever encountered. The person (owner) is rude and snotty. She talks on her cell phone like an immature teenager , just screaming for attention, finally after unwillingly having to be subjected to her 15 min. rant of how to treat people "her way" loudly on her cell phone for all of 4 customers to listen to, each of us gladly left the shop so we could give her the space she needed to conduct her business by herself without the bother of those pesty customers that keep her business running, dont see how this place stays open!!! Will give my business elsewhere, without the background noise. read more

Good size and selection. Clothes are priced at or a little above goodwill prices. Books are all only 25 cents, can't beat that, but the books are extremely unorganized. Proceeds help a local Catholic school. read more

Stood in the store near the check-out counter for 15 minutes without a single person either greeting me or asking if I need help! It seems to me that people who work in a store which is in the business to accept donations should jump out of their chairs when a customer comes in the door. I guess these ladies couldn't be bothered to interupt their conversation to take my items. I will look for another organization, one which really needs my items and business. read more

My family and I love this store! We call it the Treasure Store because everytime we stop by we find treasures. I look forward the most to shopping on the sale days! Unlike the last review I read, the best part of Nearly New Resale is the staff! The staff has always made my children and I feel welcome!
