I'm nervous for my viusit today and have been suffering for a while now especially since I'm taking a new medication. For the past 7 years I've been in and out of dr offices and since we've relocated from Texas to Florida I have to have the best doctors that know what there doing and get me the right medications etc. I arrived 14 minutes late so ill have to wait a while before being called, but I will let you know how this visit with Dr. Chisolm went today. Like I said I arrived late today but I called and spoke with Ashley who confirmed with the doctor that it was fine to be a little late. My appontment was at 2:30pm I arrived at 2:47pm They were very understanding, professional & efficient. I was called to the back at 3:20 not to bad considering that I was late. I was called by Tracy who is a very nice nurse of Dr. Chisolm and we laughed a bit about my nervousness and i tend to raddle and laught when nervous so we laughed and talked sbout that to. Tracy weighed me, took my blood pressure and took down some info on me before leaving the room. But not before saying she was glad to have met me and for me to have a great day that the dr would be coming in soon. Now I'm just waiting for the dr. Still a bit nervous and all the literature they have around dont help lol. Guess what! While you wait.. theres a computer/tablet stand that has educational type videos you can watch. Omg!!! Dr. Chisholm is fantastic i was cpmfortable right away with her and she has a great bedside manner that make you feel like your talking to your bestfriend. I have a better understanding of my issues and will be scheduling a proceedure today probably for next month. Dr. Moore reffered me tp the perfect doctor. Thank you Dr. Chisholm

They had not told us anything about this prior, and the representative told me she made a mistake but scheduled the appointment two days later with a different doctor. Because of this, we went to an urgent care and spent several hours getting a rapid COVID test to be able to make the procedure. We then called the next day to send test results, and they told us we did not have an appointment. The original doctor didn't want another MD to do the test but they didn't bother to tell us. We wasted an entire day getting the test. DO NOT go to this clinic.

Urgent Warning: Life-Threatening Neglect and Cruelty at St. Vincent's Clay County…read moreThis is not just a complaint; it is a warning about dangerous, negligent care received at St. Vincent's in Clay County. I made multiple, desperate visits seeking help, but was repeatedly dismissed, despite clear, concerning evidence in my own medical records. I later reviewed my lab work and CT scans--evidence that was right there in their system--and confirmed with another facility that my condition should have been recognized and addressed while I was in their care. St. Vincent's personnel did not simply miss the diagnosis; they showed no concern and did not even seem to try. This failure put my life in imminent danger. The consequence of this neglect was severe. I have since suffered three serious falls in one week where I was unable to get up and required the life squad to intervene. Beyond the medical failure, the lack of basic human dignity I experienced was appalling. During one of my visits, I was so unwell I could not get out of my car after driving to the entrance. When I finally made it inside, I was refused a wheelchair and can only describe the staff's attitude as indifferent, even dismissive. I watched as hospital personnel were inside, laughing, while I was clearly in distress. I had to be saved by Baptist Health, a facility that immediately recognized the severity of my condition and acted quickly to provide life-saving treatment that St. Vincent's repeatedly denied. I ask the staff at St. Vincent's to imagine if this was their mother, their father, their grandparent, or any loved one who was alone and incapacitated. The lack of care and humanity shown to me is inexcusable. Do not entrust your life or the lives of your family members to this facility. Outcome: Saved by Baptist Health. Warning: Seek care elsewhere. I owe everything to the amazing people on the 7th floor, room 799. Ernesto is a superstar; he consistently went above and beyond, showing a genuine passion for helping people. Eric, the charge nurse, was firm but fair, checking in on me multiple times daily to ensure I was well-cared for and had everything I needed. He even took the time to help me install my vest for walking and change my bandage when it was leaking. I want to thank all the nurses on that floor, I can't say or complain about anything in anyway that they did wrong I was there for 2 weeks. These guys are all-stars! I'm a Baptist family member for life and will never go anywhere else for help."

My brother was admitted for care and, within hours, was left in respiratory distress without timely suctioning, and his feeding tube was not even connected, leaving him without nutrition for an extended period. Despite repeated requests, staff response was delayed and inconsistent. Throughout his stay, we experienced ongoing issues with call lights going unanswered, lack of basic hygiene care, and unprofessional, dismissive communication from staff. On one occasion, a staff member spoke to him in a demeaning manner rather than addressing his concerns. Most concerning was the lack of urgency during a medical emergency. When he experienced severe respiratory distress, staff response was delayed, and emergency services were only called after persistent family advocacy. He was later hospitalized, where the findings indicated a severe case of pneumonia. No family should have to repeatedly advocate just to ensure basic, timely care for their loved one. This experience raised serious concerns about patient safety, responsiveness, and overall quality of care. I hope the facility takes meaningful corrective action to prevent this from happening to others.

Avecina Medical -- I am absolutely disgusted, and this is how I feel about the care my fiancé…read morereceived for his repeating ear infections. The so-called "care" I've received at your clinic is nothing short of malpractice mixed with arrogance. The first time I came in, your doctors treated me like I was the problem instead of the patient. They literally contaminated my healthy ear by bouncing back and forth between it and the infected one, as if they had no clue what a healthy ear was supposed to look like. That isn't medical treatment that's incompetence so severe I honestly don't know how half of your staff even passed pre-K, let alone medical school. You prescribed drops that did nothing. The next medication delayed things for a moment, but the infection came right back. And every single time I've returned, I've been dismissed and told to "come back when it's worse." Newsflash: after three ear infections, I know my own body. I don't need your condescending attitude to tell me to wait until I'm in excruciating pain or permanently damaged before you actually do your job. Your doctors strut around with superiority complexes, invalidating patients, and bleeding us dry financially while offering no real care. I'm not some idiot begging for narcotics I've been begging for antibiotics, for help, for someone to take me seriously. Instead, you waste my time, drain my bank account, and put my health at serious risk. And the moment I dared to stand up for myself -- to demand basic respect and actual treatment -- your staff painted me as "aggressive" and kicked me out. That's laughable. I wasn't aggressive. I was firm. That's called advocacy. If your fragile staff can't handle a patient advocating for themselves without spiraling into victim mode, maybe they should find another career. I'm young. I'm in my 20s. I'm trying to keep my health intact while also working and paying bills like everyone else. I can't afford to waste my time at a clinic that behaves like a daycare for overgrown toddlers in lab coats. I can't afford to keep getting billed for nothing. I demand a refund for the last three visits. You didn't treat me. You didn't help me. You insulted me, invalidated me, wasted my time, and put my hearing at risk. Avecina Medical your clinic is a disgrace. Your doctors are a disgrace. And the fact that you are allowed to call yourselves "medical professionals" is revolting. I am waiting for your manager to call me back today but that doesn't change the fact this happened at all and everyone is going to know what you are.
