Just stopped by on a whim and ordered the mushrooms and dry rub wings- both were so delicious! The mushrooms are fresh with beer batter and the spice level in the dry rub wings has a perfect amount of spice and crunch- and they have good ranch with a large portion size. We also had drinks and were served up promptly- the atmosphere was relaxed ( mid day), great service. Definitely will be returning, so glad we checked it out! read more

I will NEVER support this restaurant again. The way they treated someone who was having trouble breathing because of the heat was truly disturbing...All because they were not a paying customer. Unbelievable! The tall brunette bartender was the one who decided that this person shouldn't be allowed to sit in the shade OUTSIDE when three was nobody even out there. Karma is a B! Went in for lunch and was greeted promptly by a lovely server. Ordered drinks for me and my friend and was served them promptly. I ordered 13 lemon pepper wings grilled and she ordered a BLT with fries. The grilled wings were $1.50 more and I happily agreed. We waited for about 15 minutes and then our food was served. Upon arrival there was no indication of my wings being grilled. They were straight out of the fryer. I watched as the server asked the cook if they were grilled and he nodded yes. He was in a red Diamondbacks hat and did not grill any wings. I politely asked the waiter if she could see any indication that the wings were grilled and she said that she would remove the $1.50 charge. The wings were dry with very little lemon pepper seasoning. My friends BLT was very small with very little bacon. The bread was hard and stale. I don't think it was the servers problem as the cook himself seemed more interested in the baseball game that was on and was even sitting at bar at one point. I've never heard of this place but when I started dating my boyfriend his family would always come here. They have been coming to this spot for about a good decade & they talked about how good the hot wings are so they brought me along one evening, I can now say this is my favorite hot wings spot. We live out in south chandler & we take the drive all the way out here just to grub on some wings, I will soon have to recommend my family to try this place as well. Where to begin here; loved this funky old neighborhood bar for over 30 years and couldn't wait for it to reopen. Disappointing doesn't begin to describe it, and we should have been alerted when we drove up and saw the BRIGHT, glaring windows onto the parking lot. There are a few booths around the windows and one wall and the rest is small, uncomfortable cafeteria tables in tight rows. The bar looks temporary like for a cheap catered event, and is so poorly organized everything takes the bartender twice as long. It has no functionality, flow or rhythm and makes no sense. They have the beer taps on the far wall of the bar where employees have to pass through a tight space to the dining room and kitchen. The bar itself has no leg room, you're given paper plates to eat on, had to ask twice for drinks and then she couldn't remember what you were drinking with only seven people there, and had to ask for setups. The bartender never asked anyone if they wanted another drink (how do you make money that way?). Very stark, white, bare and boring - looks exactly like a Jack in the Box (no offense to Jack). You can see from the photos - Oh, but there are two signs on the wall that say BASEBALL and BASKETBALL so you know it's a "sports bar". If they're lucky, John Taffer of Bar Rescue will be visiting them within six months. read more

This is one of those places I didn't now that I was going to until right before I visited--thanks to Yelp for finding yet another winner. Looks pretty divey inside, but the service is friendly and the hamburgers are AMAZING! My wife is not the biggest fan of sports bars, but the food was so good that she was nothing but smiles when we finished our meal. Any place that can do this has my full recommendation. read more

This place was better then expected! The place is very clean and well maintained. You have the choice to sit at the bar or in a booth. Service was incredible and from what I hear the bartenders/servers are regulars, so most of the guys at bar new who they were (like family) I really liked how they cook their food right in front of you. We went during happy hour which is 75 cent each wing and cheap drinks. By the way one of the best bloody Mary's I ever sipped on for 4.50 and the wings were so mouth watering. I would never step foot in this place again. My kids and I traveled 2 hours so I came into this business center because we had to use the restroom. We went to family dollar first and they said that they didn't have any public restrooms so we went to the Mexican restaurant across from family dollar. It had a sign saying customers only with a purchase could use the restroom so I bought a drink and 2 ice creams for my daughters when I asked they said the restrooms weren't working. Then I went into stackers and I looked around to ask if we could use the restroom. I didn't see anyone around but customers waiting. Since I didn't see anyone and at this point my daughters really had to go so we went into the restroom. We got out an old man yelled the restroom are for customers only and I said I know but we real had to go and he said well you should of ask and I told him I didn't see anyone behind the counter to ask then he said I was outside I told him how was I supposed to know that and he said ok big mouth I don't want to see you here again the way he was yelling at me in front of my kids I got upset and said I'll be back and he said u want to bet that u won't so I told him let's bet. He kept yelling all kinds of stuff as I was walking away. How can someone be so disrespectful to someone for just using the restroom. We wanted to sneak out for alittle Friday happy hour before heading home and we were creating wings so we looked on yelp and boom stackers came up. It had a cozy dive bar feel and the bartenders were very nice and attentive. We had the wings which were on a happy hour special for 75 cents a wing. I decided to keep it simple with a bud light but my girlfriend had a Bloody Mary it was so good she had two more. Divey joint with plenty of TVs and good grub. I agree with many others who comment on how tasty the burgers are. I have had the wings several times and those are tasty as well. Service is quick. No frills about this place, it could use a good scrubbing however. The silverware had crusty leftovers on it, but nothing to cause a ruckus about. Went here on Tuesday which was only 1 day after they reopened. Food was delicious and cooked to perfection. I had the chef salad and wings. They have the best wings ever! This bar is definitely the local dive bar! Even better is that their friendly attitudes will allow even the out of towners to fell like they are part of it. When I arrived I was immediately greeted by the bartender who offered m me a drink. After a few jokes about the beer selection I was served with a cold well pulled beer. The bartender here definitely knows how to pull a tap! I ordered the mozzarella sticks and patty melt. The sticks came out first and were cooked well. Crunchy on the outside and melted on the inside. The melt was cooked to well and you could easily taste the charred patty. While the slaw was ok it wasn't the best. But who goes to a dive bar for saw. In all the beer is cold, the bartender can work a bar, the food is good, and the conversation makes it home. For anyone away from home wanting that hometown dive bar feel. This is the place. For locals wanting a bar to sit, relax, and enjoy life at - this is the place. It's got all the grit and grime with just the right amount of personality to make you come back. Was afraid to go here alone for the first time. Almost looks like a Cheers kinda place where only older guys go and have been going for years. You know the kind.. Where you walk in and the regulars give you a dirty look and you immediately feel unwanted and uncomfortable. Well.. That isn't so here. I've been wanting to go for a while but as a single woman was a bit scared. So I took a guy friend. We were both pleasantly surprised. Staff was good. Drinks and food were good. Only drawback was when our food was brought to the table... The cook ran his arm across my friends straw instead of asking us to move the drink so he could reach the table better. YUCK! Ugh! Dive bar doesn't begin to describe this wretched dump. More like trailer trashy. Didn't even get as far as ordering food. Why would I when there's floaters in my beer, and I am not talking bubbles. Bartender took his sweet time pouring the first one to begin with, and gave me the stink eye when I asked for another to replace the nasty floater infested one he gave me. There's no other place open this late, so I was like a glimmer of hope for a mom with a unhappy toddler... I check into the Arizona bar laws and saw that as long as a person under 21 years of age did not order alcohol they were allowed to be in a bar... obviously my 2 year old was not going to consume alcohol and this tired mom was only hoping for a minute of peace from her unhappy toddler. To add to it, the bar tender kept looking at me as I paced out front trying to tire my toddler as though I was some kind of weirdo adding to the few people at the bar staring out the window at me... this is not the first time stackers has disappointed me in the past year. UGH! We stopped here to watch the Ohio State championship game, as we were in the area for an event for our daughter. It looked like it was going to be hopping and the marketing they had for good food and drinks, made us think it was a "go". Don't waste your time! Grill food was less than mediocre and beer is hard to ruin. The wait staff was casually slow and the decor was well worn and needing a face lift. For $70 we got 4 beers, a burger, over cooked fries, 12 singed wings and 12 (hockey puck boneless wings and zucchini sticks.. This spot is hit or miss. Don't let the owner cook for you. He won't separate wing flavors and he doesn't soak up excess grease before he tosses wings. I'm looking at a puddle of grease in the bottom of my basket which then makes the wing sauce not stick to the wings. This was the worst place that I've eaten at in a very long time. Service was HORRIBLE, we were given only water to drink just to wait almost 45 minutes just to order 30 wings that took over an hour to prepare and get back to our table. Quality of food was mediocre, very greasy. Friend at our table gave a huge for their version of homestyle fries/hashbrowns. Oh the kicker we arrived at 930-10am so there was no reason to wait as long as we did for the quality of food served. Definitely will not be back for round 2 read more

Had dinner here tonight with 2 family members and the food was GREAT! I had the fried shrimp dinner, (pic), and we shared the fried zucchini, mushroom, onion rings combo. Made with FRESH veggies, ( not frozen). They had the French dip supreme with mushroom and swiss, and the tuna sandwich. We were all full and happy. I've been here before and the wings are made to order, any way you like and a bunch of sauce/ heat options to please any palate. The owner, Lou, even stopped by our table to see that we were happy. First (and only) Half of Review: I happened into this dive bar/grill recently since it's near my NoPho / Ghettro-Center 'hood. Stackers gets points for having a few different beers on tap (Bass, I can't remember the rest) along with the regular boring finds. That's all I was there for at the time. I did not eat, but they seemed to offer a lot in the way of typical bar food. Maybe they have super delicious food, maybe not. I'll never know. There would have been a second half to this review. There would have been a follow-up where I found the place interesting enough to go back when I could sample the food, too, because I did find the place interesting enough to warrant that second visit. That's what I was planning to do as I sipped my beer. But there isn't going to be a second half to this review. It all came down to watching a skinny dude in a cap come in from out front -- obviously smoking cigarettes -- and proceed to gather ingredients and utensils and then actually make what looked like a big jug of tartar sauce, or something, and then prepping other items, WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS.!! This is inexcusable. Skinny cap dude was not the cook at the time, a young lady was at the grill, but he was doing prep work in the back. The trouble seemed like only him, so I resist my temptation to hard-nose and give only 1 star, and give them 2 instead. I had so completely planned to go back and try out what seemed like it was going to be some good bar & grill grub, but I just couldn't bring myself to do so. Maybe if I were to run out of other places to check out I'll try it again, but not if skinny cap dude is anywhere in my sight. For me Stacker's has fallen before even getting a chance, like a barely played out game of Jenga ruined by a clumsy player. read more

I have been going to Stackers for over 3 years now, since I am in walking distance and enjoy the ability to crawl home after too many drinks. A month ago I would have given this super-friendly, laid back neighborhood dive 4 stars, but a recent hike in their prices forces my hand at 3. Pros: stiff drinks, great staff, friendly bar folk, cheap booze, pool table and a decent juke box Cons: just so-so bar food that seems to all taste kinda the same....weird The proximity to my home, cheap booze and free drink at 5 on Friday will keep me coming back for more. If you want to stop by, get there before happy hour because this place gets packed every day and finding a seat can take some time. read more

Here's the deal. I'm giving 5 stars to the staff because they are all awesome. They are always freakin' AWESOME. I'm giving 4 stars for the food. It's pretty damn good and especially so for more of a dive-type bar (which I LOVE dive bars). Here's the kicker... ZERO stars for the seating and most uncomfortable, po-dunk, cheap-ass, trailer park, homemade, ass-cramping booths I have ever had to sit in. In all seriousness, this place has lost business from my lunch crowd because we would often rather go eat lesser quality food and be comfortable than piss off our precious taints by sitting in those booths for mare than 5 minutes. To the owner, please, please, PLEASE, for the love of our backs, tear those crap booths out and put something comfortable in. I truly believe you will gain more business by doing so. Just revisited this place again and bought 2 Philly Cheese Steaks, Chix wings, Cole slaw, Chili and fries. First off, I've eaten here before and the food was pretty decent.. let me tell you, avoid this place at all cost or you will get sick. The cheese in the cheese steak was sour, there was hardly no meat, fries were totally soggy, chili was very watery and the Cole slaw was sour and uneatable. Now they claim to have the best wings? Sorry but they failed on that deliberation as well. I will not, repeat, will not be visiting this place ever again. If you're wise and value your health my "opinion" is to avoid this place at all cost(s). I did call and complain and the person on the phone said she will relay message to the owner and "he owes you a side"[referring to the Cole slaw]. Pretty pathetic. read more

Came here with a coworker tonight to have a beer and to celebrate me getting accepted to ASU. It's a nice little dive bar which I've never been to before but there's a first for everything! We sat ourselves and a waitress came to us right away. We got a pitcher of beer and she brought it out with ice cold glasses. I got their six piece wings and it took a while to come but it was amazingly delicious. I've heard many great things about their wings and now I know why! They weren't those pathetic wings that are super crispy and no chicken in them. They were "beefy" (for lack of a better word) and so tender. I can consider myself a fan. It was a nice little place to hang out, have a beer, and chow down on some wings. Will definitely be coming back again. read more
